The world would be a different place without smart technology, which is personified by the ubiquitous smart phone. However, more than that, the world would be a different place if smart technology didn’t come first – in every political decision.

These technologies have helped to create the police state of today. It is nurtured by the political climate in which Digital ID is being sold to us. Governments are digitally dividing society into an “us and them” equation – through AI-driven smart technology. In that world, the smart phone – a data-mining surveillance tool for the police state – is made conveniently mandatory.

Digital surveillance and Digital ID

The potential of the smart phone to disempower society, piece by piece, is no secret – phones are being tracked and personal information is leaking via Bluetooth and Wi-Fi. It may shock people to realise that Wi-Fi “sensing” enables AI to see us through walls and monitor our movements in real time with 5G.

Our data, in a multiplicity of forms commonly derived from routine smart phone activity, is the prized possession of government agencies and, the corporations and organisations that profit from it, who are lobbying for Digital ID, which enables more intrusive data-mining. There are numerous consequences of this vast “data-mining”, proving that the smart phone is anything but an “empowering” device.

Some social groups more than others received a taste of this reality during the “pandemic” – notably activists, journalists and other campaigning professionals using social media and smart phones to raise political awareness when human rights were under assault. Reliance on smart phones exposed their data to increased scrutiny, left them open to international government, military and police efforts to target social media, control information, monitor persons of interest and deter protests. Society witnessed a hike in intrusive data-driven surveillance and algorithmic censorship, as well as calls for Digital ID in the form of digital “Vaccine Passports”, all of which could now be empowered by AI and 5G wireless infrastructure.

Climate of social and racial manipulation

Among the targets in the climate of social unrest was the “Woke” organisation Black Lives Matter (BLM), protesting in 2020, and invested in “smart phone activism”. However, soon BLM discovered that their smart phones were an “Achilles Heel”. Big Tech had been aiding the police, with social media surveillance and facial recognition technologies (FRTs), targeting protesters.

BLM had known social media surveillance for many years (targeted by police through the social media intelligence platform Geofeedia). However, they had never highlighted this technological side of “colonialism” in their midst.

In September 2020 – according to the BBC – officers at a [Black Lives Matter] protest in Washington’s Lafayette Square “…requested a “heat ray” weapon for possible use against protesters in a park next to the White House…The heat ray weapon [Active Denial System] uses a microwave beam [millimeter wave energy] to make human skin feel like it is burning.” That same month, Facial Recognition Technologies (FRTs) had also been deployed against the protesters.

BLM supporters toppling colonialist statues in recent times, have liberally targeted the past. However, they didn’t target the Big Tech companies, Big Tech figureheads or smart phones/smart surveillance technology, or microwave weapons of the present. An opportunity to highlight digital/electronic colonialism as the threat of contemporary Imperialism – exemplified by the symbiosis of Big Tech and the police to target and ID protesters with data-driven technologies – was ominously missed when unprecedented global attention was on the organisation in 2020.

BLM, it can be argued, avoided the technological “elephants in the room” and thus seemed to change very little for civil rights, because policing is inseparable from microwave and smart technologies.

A technological, data-gathering warzone

Predatory, data-driven policing is today at the heart of recent anti-ICE protests in Los Angeles, as are identity politics. The surveillance of and confrontations with protesters are portrayed as a crackdown on those in the US who may not have the necessary Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) documents that prove their identity.

Police brutality (with military tactics and manpower) aligned to “technological supremacism” characterises the “sweeps” on the streets of LA, which are fuelled by data from smart surveillance infrastructure and tools.

Biometric Update author Anthony Kimery, in the article “Police, federal video surveillance of anti-ICE protests in Los Angeles raise alarms”, observes that, “In the wake of escalating protests in Los Angeles over U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) raids and broader immigration enforcement policies, civil liberties advocates and technologists are sounding the alarm over the scale and scope of surveillance that’s been deployed against demonstrators…While aerial footage and law enforcement presence dominate the visible landscape of the protests, a quieter form of monitoring is unfolding in the digital realm where facial recognition tools, [Amazon] Ring camera footage, and social media surveillance intersect to create a sprawling matrix of protester identification.”

Los Angeles Police Department (LAPD) has made significant investments in wireless Internet of Things (IoT) technologies – as admitted by Deputy Chief John McMahon who believes, “Virtual reality and technologies like the [wearable] Apple Vision Pro goggles, which double as a computer, offer endless possibilities for enhancing law enforcement operations.”

(The same has been said about smart glasses, wearables that are currently being used by law enforcement in China and the Middle East, and will be coming to a town near you, with facial recognition technology built in. According to Greenbot, “facial recognition in wearables may soon become common despite ethical concerns.” As Harvard Technology Review observes, “…while European regulations have restricted the use of real-time facial recognition, no such protections exist in the United States.”)

Smart technology automates much of policing, and supports the militarisation of the police, which has continued since 9/11 when “surplus combat equipment [was] procured and assigned to local police departments”. Source. The trend has seen units that “mimic Special Forces”. According to stopspying.org, in the US amidst anti-ICE demonstrations, “federal immigration enforcement have flown Predator drones, Black Hawk helicopters, and other military aircraft typically deployed in warzones overseas above the protests.”

Reports of “masked, unmarked agents” assigned to work with ICE that are targeting demonstrators and others reinforce the “Special Forces” dimension to the technologically assisted ICE policing. Arguably this is a terrorising tactic, and one that is challenging legal frameworks, undermining transparency and creating fear.

In a discussion in bylinetimes.com concerning the “militarisation of police departments, and the domestic deployments of armed units trained and staffed by Special Forces soldiers to our cities”, Professor Timothy Snyder of Yale – author of On Tyranny: Twenty Lessons From the Twentieth Century – is quoted as saying, “This is a classic way that violence happens in authoritarian regimes… The people who are getting used to committing violence on the border are then brought in to commit violence against people in the interior.” Source.

MSN reported that, “Some city and Police Commission leaders have called on the LAPD to do more to identify masked individuals who are taking part in immigration sweeps.” The streets are becoming a technological, data-gathering warzone.

Smart technology for health, or authenticating ID?

As this “militarised” climate of fear over “proving identity” is raised to fever pitch, I’m sure it won’t be long before the subject of Digital ID becomes centre stage issue the US – targeting Americans with smart phones. Digital ID in the US is sold as “more convenient, secure, privacy-protective, and usable than a physical ID”.

A centralised database built by Big Tech data-mining firm Palantir is already proving more than attractive to the Trump government – which would support a Digital ID framework, and, ICE deportations. As Vice observes, “In a CNBC interview at Davos, Palantir CEO Alex Karp admitted that his company “[finds] people in our country who are undocumented.” Source.

For Digital ID to be a success, biometrics are a key dataset. Currently, “Palantir gathers biometric and behavioral data for removal operations“. The function-creep of smart phones has ensured this dataset can be obtained with ease, “conveniently”, for biometrics capture is hardwired into the technology – as it is in fashionable smart “wearables”.

In the US, health secretary RFK Junior recommends that all citizens own wearables, “envisioning that every American will use them within four years“. Like smart phones, wearable devices are a desirable “data-mine” for the police, and governments – and such data would greatly assist Palantir. Wearables offer many opportunities for “tapping” rich sets of data.

The safety of sensitive, personal health data remains in question, however, when Big Tech is greedy for it and is prepared to breech data guidelines. Fines seem inconsequential. For example, facial recognition company Clearview AI “was fined just over €30M (close to $32M) by the Netherlands’ data protection authority in September 2024. In 2022 it was also fined the maximum possible (€20M or around $22M, based on its revenue at that time) a full three times by DPAs in Italy, Greece and France.” Source.

AI-driven smart technology: who wants your data?

Influencers who are outspoken on social issues, like RFKJnr and Patrisse Marie Khan-Cullors Brignac (formerly of BLM), must see that smart technologies are invasive surveillance tools. However, RFKJnr believes that wearables are vital for health, which is questionable. Meanwhile, former Black Lives Matter (BLM) leader Patrisse Marie Khan-Cullors Brignac helped empower a movement against colonialism in the 21st century yet the movement hasn’t spoken out against targeted smart phone surveillance, Facial Recognition Technologies (FRTs) Digital ID, or AI algorithms that can be inherently racist or disciminatory, (proven in study after study).

Failing to politically highlight the invasive data-driven surveillance underway courtesy of smart technology has consequences. A centralised database of Americans is now on the cards whether US citizens of any colour agree or not. Murals of 2020 supporting BLM are torn up and military installations are renamed in support of the Ku Klux Klan, as the Whitehouse makes deals with Big Tech and data-mining company, Palantir. Meanwhile, wearables for every American is promoted as a mantra.

There is a deep political desire to control the public’s data, and to keep mining it, intrusively though smart technologies – something the police are relying on more and more. The “terrorising” policing tactics and data-driven technologies being rolled out at demonstrations today take on a different dimension when we realise that the US and UK police alike are being trained in Israel, a country that reinforces apartheid through surveillance technologies, and is engaged in ethnic cleansing in Gaza.

According to Amnesty International, “Public or private funds spent to train our domestic police in Israel should concern all of us.” Yet how many of us know that the police are adopting Israeli tactics? Consider also, that Israeli technologies like those made by Israeli spytech company Cellebrite – a digital forensics company that sells tools to access and extract data from smartphones – which has “contracts with the British police” may access “police and security surveillance data”, because they are part of the “The 2030 roadmap for UK-Israel bilateral relations” signed off by the British Government.

Concerningly, Cellebrite has a “disastrous human rights record” and assists repressive regimes. For example, in 2021, as the Business and Human Rights Resource Centre reported, “Evidence of surveillance technology being used by the Myanmar state [formerly Burma]…was revealed when it surfaced that the military used phone-hacking technology from Israeli spyware firm Cellebrite to arrest two Reuters journalists for investigating a military massacre of ten Rohingya Muslims in Rakhine State in 2017.”

Cellebrite is interested in more than access to and data from smart phones, however. According to Cellebrite, “Digital wearables, such as Fitbit, record seemingly mundane activities — the number of steps we take in a day, our heartbeats, sleep schedules, locations, and distance traveled. To the trained eyes of criminal investigators, the data from wearables can be used to document our daily lives, right down to the last footstep and heartbeat. This data can prove invaluable when investigating crimes….extraction of data from wearable devices [has] led to arrests and prosecutions.”

Techno-anarchy in the UK

Clearly smart phones and wearables enable a society governed by Digital ID, underpinned by AI. It’s the direction the US, and UK, is headed, with the tragedy of racial unrest continuing, driven by technology that promotes over-policing and racially biased targeting.

In the UK as in the US, Palantir are at the centre of data-mining activities. According to Liberty, the “…controversial US spy tech firm [Palantir] has landed a contract with UK police to develop a surveillance network that will incorporate data about citizens’ political opinions, philosophical beliefs, health records and other sensitive personal information.”

In the UK, Digital ID is increasingly in the news. As the political dimensions around it are comparable with those of the US in so many ways, they deserve our attention.

The UK government launched “Gov.uk Wallet, a digital identity system that will consolidate government-issued credentials into a centralized mobile application. The initiative marks a significant advancement in the UK’s broader digitization strategy, following the country’s recent engagement with private sector stakeholders on digital identity solutions…The technical implementation will use facial recognition capabilities available on most contemporary smartphones for identity verification.” This offers clues as to how the UK’s vision of Digital ID will look.

The Digital ID initiative progresses as racial unrest in the form of Gaza protests and continuing immigration-related “troubles” spark police controntations where facial recognition technologies (FRTs) and smart phone surveillance are hastily rushed out (without ethical regulations) and serve to deter public demonstrations and “dissent”.

Regarding the Gaza demonstrations, these events are democratic rights that communicate to us all how unpopular Israel’s “genocidal” war is, and also show us that predominantly in the media, protesting against the killing of Palestinians and waving their flags in demonstrations is being sold as “anti-Israel” as if that type of protesting were “antisemitic”. UK Foreign Office “staff officials [questioning] the UK’s continued arms sales and what they called a “stark… disregard for international law” by Israel,” have been warned that they should consider resigning if they “disagree” over Gaza.

Citizens opposing Israel’s “genocide” can be labelled antisemitic for expressing alarm, or demonstrating – though when 100,000 Israelis take to the streets to oppose the war, the popular media either has no name for it, or avoids highlighting it. “Antisemitism” describes “bigotry, prejudice or discrimination against Jews“. “Bigotry, prejudice or discrimination against Palestinians” who are also “semitic” people is defended by the British State. In Israel the oppression of Palestinians has been progressed over decades of the authorities collecting biometric data on Palestinians (and even Jews) to control both populations, helped by growing smart phone use, and the rise of facial recognition technologies being developed in Israel.

Britcard: for silencing voices?

In the UK a Digital ID could equally be employed to silence criticism to the government line. “Government officials have suggested that digital IDs could be linked to facial recognition technology and biometric data, creating a system that closely monitors every citizen’s movements and interactions.”

In the context of this “autocratic” UK government stance, where political divides arise over Israel/Gaza and immigration-fuelled controversies, we’re seeing a biometric Digital ID emerge with the proposition of “Britcard”.

It is a proposition progressing from a speculative and “voluntary” status towards being pushed as mandatory – on the back of Britain’s infamous “Immigration” and protesting problems.

Immigration problems in the UK have fuelled protests and dissatisifaction for some time – but only after protests against wars (that have been causing the refugee crisis) failed, falling on the deaf ears of governments determined to support or wage them. Deterring protest with AI’s assistance has since become a priority of governments and the police. Silkie Carlo, director of Big Brother Watch (BBW), believes “…AI surveillance turns members of the public into walking ID cards, is dangerously inaccurate and has no explicit legal basis in the UK.” BBW found that “Over 60% of UK residents are concerned about the use of facial recognition in public spaces.”

Britcard should be viewed as an extension of this desire to control, for who would protest if their data could instantly be assigned to a “watch list” courtesy of an AI driven app and deprive one of essential services? It is an existential threat, along with the growing arsenal of FRTs and Drones to support the program.

“Britcard”, is presented as a proposition for a national Digital ID, and is being advertised a solution for “immigration out of control” though deserves closer scrutiny. As CCN reports, Britcard is touted as a way to “help Britain control illegal migration and secure its borders.”

“What else could Britcard be used for?” is a question everyone should be asking. What about backing a national conscription program? National ID cards introduced in 1939 assisted in conscription – the last time a mandatory ID system was introduced in the UK. Could that happen with Digital IDs? Its happening in Europe which seeks to conscript 300,000 troops as a deterrent to Russia.

Beyond the obvious and advertised

Talk of resuming UK conscription was in the air recently, concerning Vladimir Putin who is seen as a threat because “Britain sees its number of soldiers dwindling“. Europe also appears to be preparing populations for conflict aimed at Putin.

However, according to inews.co.uk, “Downing Street has dismissed a warning from the head of the British Army that members of the public could be called up to fight in the event of a war with Russia.” Governments have been known to U-turn. The UK government seems desperate to implement national Digital ID. Any war might help achieve that, from the “immigation war” to the world war three scenario suggested by the spectre of Putin.

War is spoken of a lot today, though some seek to create it casually through their influence. Big Tech attempted to fan the flames of immigration discontent in the guise of Elon Musk, partner in the techno-eugenecist rebrand of politics under President Donald Trump who is deliberately engineering a racially tense atmosphere in the US, in every way possible (while Elon promotes the idea of “Smart-people” enhanced by smart technology). “Sir Keir Starmer [became] embroiled in a war of words with Elon Musk, after the tech billionaire suggested that “civil war is inevitable” following violent unrest in the UK”, as the BBC reported in 2024.

Britcard remains a politically divisive “us and them” type of proposition. CITIZENS vs IMMIGRATION is currently the main narrative to convince people to accept a life where digital proof of ID permits access to private and public sector services digitally. Fear and “othering” are the UK government’s usual tried and tested ways of introducing more surveillance on the population, and biased AI algorithms ensure that will continue be the case.

No doubt “othering” comes into play in conscription as well, as it did in the UK in 1939 when ID Cards were forced on the population, and resisting conscription was frowned upon. In a similar way, Digital ID could be used as a coercive tool for purposes beyond the obvious and advertised, empowering governments in gaining the compliance of citizens for a multiplicity of political goals.

The UK and US governments are funding energy guzzling data centres and utilise Real Time Crime Centres (RTCC) (spearheaded by Fusus “the most widely used and trusted real-time crime center platform in US public safety”). Here police use all the latest bells and whistles of surveillance technology and data analytics, so we are seeing the foundations of a Digital ID being built.

The RTCC system brings together the smart technology platforms of Big Tech to policing to carry out the State’s divide and rule political and strategic tactics on society. Digital ID will be a critical data-driven tool linking to these systems. According to breechmedia, “While creating the centres, police forces have sought out advice and technology from major corporations like Motorola, IBM, and Palantir, many with controversial ties to military and spy agencies.”

The UK’s future – who is allowed to join it?

We’re at the threshold of the QR code society, which is a surveillance economy – where you are the product, giving your profitable data through every digital transaction with a smart phone Digital ID app. Like a product on a shelf, a human acquires an ID number and barcode (QR code), to be tracked anywhere like a pet or a prisoner with a GPS bracelet. Wearables can only assist in the “progressive” Digital ID world.

A think tank closely aligned with the government called Labour Together believes that “For a progressive society to work, it needs to be able to collectively agree who is allowed to join it. Because it will exclude those who cannot join it, it needs to give its members proof that they belong.” This is the logic behind the UK’s Digital ID scheme “Britcard”.

According to The Week, “Number 10 appears to be…rolling out [the] voluntary scheme that could become mandatory at a future date. Labour Together has estimated the BritCard system would cost up to £400 million to build and around £10 million a year to administer as a free-to-use app.”

State in a Smart Phone

A Digital ID is already being used in the UK-backed Ukraine as the country endeavours to achieve a state of technological supremacy, and guard against Russia. A Digital ID backed by a government app drives the Ukraine into deeper autocracy, and an “us and them” world. The “State in a Smartphone” project handled by the Ukrainian Ministry of Digital Transformation passed a Digital ID law and now all authorities and private business are equipped “to be able to scan the relevant QR-code of the New Digital IDs” to verify identities.

Ukraine, by adopting Digital ID places itself on a par with other repressive regimes that have imposed the same with the aid of profit hungry Big Tech companies like Palantir. “Currently, Diia, the national government’s app which is used by over 20 million people.

Today, nearly all of Kyiv’s adult population relies on the apps”. This ensures complete digital dependency, meaning that with immediacy, access to healthcare, resources, and vital services can be refused and withheld, on the basis of the political control of a person’s data. Victoria Itskovych, Chief Information Officer of Kyiv City (CIO) said: “For any emergency – be it floods, earthquakes, or pandemics –…cities need a trusted channel of communication that cannot be hijacked to spread fear and panic.” Clearly only the voice of the State matters, when State-driven apps come into town.

Digital ID, for the Ukraine, establishes a questionable form of technology for a questionable “democracy” that has faced massive protests over government corruption, and brought “draconian” anti-protest laws that curb protest rights, free speech and NGO involvement in these processes. Deterring protest is also an agenda in the UK and US, today, with governments employing Facial Recognition Technologies (FRTs) and social media surveillance to build watch lists and target protesters or “dissidents” – a police state gaining power.

Can a Digital ID promote “Humanness”?

This interpenetrating Digital ID surveillance system, wherever it is implemented, UK or Ukraine, requires sustaining fast wireless networks (5G for example) and massively expanding data-centres, a drain on earth’s resources – fundamentally in the name of mass surveillance – and, it means sacrificing our freedom and “humanness” to “belong”, when our existence is digitally organised by AI algorithms.

Firmin DeBrabander, the Cambridge University Press author of Life after Privacy: Reclaiming Democracy in a Surveillance Society, believes that, “In the digital net that envelops our everyday lives, it will become increasingly more difficult and rare to perform any task without revealing ourselves, and opening our lives to spying eyes. And our spies are not content to watch us from without; they will install sentinels in our very bodies, and monitor us from within.” Source.

This is the future being constructed. Digital ID is a political choice, and it advertises that a fascist surveillance state is the preferred existence, above all other possibilities. Where is that future going to lead us?

Moonshot R&D calls the intensely surveilled future we’re heading towards a new world of inspiration “where people, robots, and biological cyborgs collaborate and co-evolve”. It’s the so-called “fifth stage of human evolution”, a prospect Japan is embracing, where a “Super-smart” Society 5.0 (an agenda evolved since the advent of 5G in 2016) represents “a visionary roadmap for the future of human civilization”, as described by innovaromorir.com.

Sounds like the endgame of the “Great Reset” which advances the Fourth Industrial Revolution, and, dictates technological evolution. How does that work? Sociable.co asserts that, “…the unelected globalists at the World Economic Forum (WEF) are envisioning an “augmented society” ruled by digital identity and transhumanism via the Internet of Bodies….They want digital identity…embedded into every aspect of our lives — even under our skin…” where sensors on or inside the body “monitor, analyze, and even modify human bodies and behavior.”

Such views and observations no longer seem outlandish. Smart technology, and in particular wearables and implants, are posing many ethical questions, though Big Tech companies are banking on what Klaus Schwab calls “a fusion of our physical, our digital, and our biological identities” while no ethical oversight can prevent any movement in that direction.

Put in this light, we can see how an acceptance of Digital ID is like throwing “humanness” onto the trash heap in favour of inhabiting a “post-human society” (discussed by the Global Posthuman Network) where people are, through new markets like smart dust and implants, technologically augemented (which in today’s parlance means people are being “progressive”).

People accepting of a Digital ID are trading any other alternative life for a digitally “remastered” and reinforced “self” (as populations under repressive regimes have discovered) consenting to centralised surveillance, and technologically targeted control over individuals, using health data (digital health), and mental health status or any other data of strategic value that can set limits and reinforce Big Tech monopolies and government policies.

Digital ID is not about setting anyone free, but nudging the population to a place where AI comes to dominate life more. Government has a revolving door with Big Tech companies which accelerates the pace of digital surveillance transformations, which are about implementing AI for profit and control.

AI and the lens of repression

Keir Starmer of the UK Labour government said, with AI “…there are huge opportunities and risks, and we need to marry the two…We need to push it through”. Today, the UK like everywhere we know, is a surveillance economy, being pushed through, which can be measured in the sheer density of data-collecting CCTV cameras alone which are, to be clear, a technology invented by the Nazi regime.

CCTV cameras are now enhanced by AI, and are the eyes of the AI-data-driven State today, using facial recognition and other algorithmic surveilance tools – biased towards destroying dissent and activism, while proving inherently “racist”.

Speaking out on the issue of AI’s racist interpretations and language models, Timnit Gebru was fired by Google in 2020. She had been “supporting rigorous research on AI ethics and algorithmic auditing” while the company romanced Black Lives Matter (BLM), Diversity politics, and Civil Rights to bask in “political correctness”, to promote products to a wider audience. This is a road that Big Tech in general has walked profitably, though now distances itself from as the political climate changes towards one of technologically assisted intolerance, a climate which Big Tech arguably now exploits, and assists.

Google’s credibility to “Do No Evil” has waned immensely with the development of Project Nimbus, which is enabling data-driven AI surveillance for Israel. As Middle East Monitor explains, “Beyond the sphere of social media, Google and Amazon’s collaboration with the Israeli military under Project Nimbus casts an even darker shadow over the tech industry’s role in this conflict [the war in Gaza]. The $1.2 billion cloud computing contract…provides critical infrastructure to power Israel’s AI-driven Lavender and Gospel targeting systems – systems that are directly linked to the mass civilian casualties in Gaza [and use facial recognition].” It’s a lesson for us all, especially when it is clear that Israel has a grip on our police and governments, and seeks to influence strategies and technologies.

Israel’s grip on Western police forces

In April 2025, aoav.org.uk reported that “In a delayed response to a Freedom of Information (FOI) request submitted by Action on Armed Violence (AOAV)”, Essex Police in the UK “…refused to confirm or deny whether any of their officers have met with representatives from Corsight AI, a controversial Israeli facial recognition technology company whose software has reportedly been used in IDF military operations in Gaza….a practice that human rights organisations have condemned as constituting “automated apartheid”.

This lack of transparency is similar to the US government refusing to be open about its facial recognition agenda, a policy of secrecy that raises concerns. The UK appears reliant on intrusive surveillance tactics and tools from Israel. It is worth asking, to what extent?

What power do Israeli tech firms have over police in the UK?

According to Inside Telecom, “Over 500 Israeli tech and non-tech companies operate in the United Kingdom (UK), and the UK Israel Tech Hub is located within the British Embassy in Israel…This raises multiple questions about the relationship between the UK and Israel. The main aim of the organization is to secure private and public sector contracts for Israeli technology companies in the UK. Earlier reports from Palestine have also suggested that several Israeli tech firms act as fronts for Zionist intelligence agencies.”

Further, “…NICE Systems, [is] another Israeli company with a contract with the British police to handle parts of their investigations. NICE Systems also holds a contract in Scotland for facial recognition in CCTV.”

A freedom of information request asking “Has the Met Police run training or exchange programmes with Israel’s police or military from 2020 to present?” received the following reply from the government:

“Confirming or denying that…information is held relating to the types of training, meetings and exchange programmes provided to other countries between The Metropolitan Police Service and the Israeli Police, Israeli Civil Administration or Israeli Defence Forces between 2014-present, would provide terrorists with a greater understanding of where specific training and exchange programmes are provided…In a partial answer to your first and third answer, On Wednesday 18 May 2022, the Met’s Central East Command Unit hosted an Israeli police delegation.”

Further information reveals that “The purpose of the visit from the Israeli Police delegation was so they could learn from the MPS about how we work with communities…Policing authorities rely on international co-operation when combatting crime, particularly that which is cross-border in scope.” A meeting was held at Stoke Newington Police Station. An official redacted PDF disclosed an agenda concerning the policing of “Faith and Hate Crime” and “Policing COVID” and centred on “Community Key stakeholders and partners”. Stoke Newington (an area in the northwest part of the London Borough of Hackney) has a high white demographic with black and other ethnic minorities, and a history of police brutality against minorities, suspicious deaths, and alleged police cover-ups. “Stoke Newington Police Station in Hackney, east London, was infamous in the 1980s and 1990s for police corruption and racism,..” according to Socialist Worker in a very revealing article where the behaviour London police forces echoes violent law enforcement tactics of Israel that for years has brutalised Jews and Palestinians.

Further involvements with Israel have been disclosed by aoav.org.uk. “The UK government has confirmed it is actively training Israeli soldiers on British soil…[casting] fresh light on Britain’s ongoing military relationship with Israel amid continued conflict in Gaza and military escalation in southern Lebanon….Dr Iain Overton, Executive Director of Action on Armed Violence (AOAV), said: “The UK’s training of Israeli forces during a period of alleged war crimes raises serious questions of moral complicity. The British public deserves transparency when our armed forces are directly engaged with a military accused of violations that have left thousands of civilians dead.”

What power do Israeli tech firms have over police in the US?

According to Forbes, “If you’re in New York City today, there’s a very good chance your face will be captured by surveillance cameras and run through facial recognition software. If you’re in a predominantly Black, Asian or Hispanic community in New York City, that chance is even greater.” Forbes also highlights “…the NYPD’s purchase of more than $277 million in secret surveillance equipment that had previously been hidden from the public.” According to incarcernation.com, since 2012, the NYPD has a “strategic partnership” with Israel, “…focused on counterterrorism, urban warfare, and crowd control.”

truthlytics.com goes further, “The NYPD, one of the largest and most well-funded police departments in the world, has long faced criticism for its use of excessive force and discriminatory policing, particularly in communities of color. These patterns of behavior, critics argue, echo the tactics used by the Israeli Defense Forces (IDF) in the occupied West Bank and Gaza—ranging from mass surveillance to brutal crowd control techniques.”

NYPD: employing Israeli technologies and approaches

In the US, policing approaches are influenced by Israel. We may recall that Israel’s NICE Systems has a contract with the British police to handle parts of their investigations and holds a contract in Scotland for facial recognition in CCTV. Supply Chain Market in 2007 reported that “NICE Systems Ltd., the global provider of advanced solutions that enable organizations to extract Insight from Interactions to drive performance, recently announced that it has won a $9M contract from the City of New York (NYC), on behalf of the New York Police Department (NYPD) for NICE Inform, multimedia incident information management solution for its next generation 9-1-1 emergency call centers…NICE Inform will enable the City to capture, manage, analyze and reconstruct multimedia incidents.”

According to haaretz.com, in 2023, “New York City Mayor Eric Adams lauded security technology developed by Israel Police…vowing to bring Israeli tech to the New York Police Department.” moguldom.com reported in 2022 that, “Crime has increased by 23.5 percent in New York City during New York City Mayor Eric Adams’ first year in office, and the former cop-turned-mayor — a fan of facial recognition technology — is promising to implement new policing technology that he said more accurately identifies common criminal patterns and develops profiles of perpetrators….Adams has promoted the use of cameras and championed facial recognition devices…“

Adams said in an interview with Politico. “…Big Brother is protecting you.” Albert Fox Cahn, head of the Surveillance Technology Oversight Project, said, “The NYPD has a decade-long history of abusing its surveillance operations to target Black New Yorkers, Muslim New Yorkers, political protests and every aspect of dissent,” Cahn said. “These are technologies that would be chilling in anyone’s hands. But to give an agency with such a horrifying record of surveillance abuse even more power, at a time when they face dwindling oversight, is a recipe for disaster.” Source.

Howard syndrome and rejection of technological tyranny

It is interesting to hear a Jewish perspective concerning the brutality of Israel’s regime (now influencing our governments and police). In Israel as any society, there are those who are authoritarian and corrupt, and those who want peace and to denounce tyranny. The Israeli historian Shlomo Sand asks, “Is not the very fact of defining oneself as a Jew within the State of Israel an act of affiliation to a privileged caste which creates intolerable injustices around itself?” Source.

Sand’s observation of a “priveleged caste” that “creates intolerable injustices around itself” evokes the actions of our governments too, which are always employing deeper surveillance and eroding human rights, which can lead to brutality and racism.

In the UK, we are experiencing technological authoritarianism through the new Labour Party. It is almost a replay of the authoritarian zeal exhibited by the UK’s Home Office under Conservative Home Secretary Michael Howard, an authoritarian figure who imposed expensive CCTV installations all over the UK, pursued a National ID card scheme, and established controversial DNA databases in the 1990’s.

Britain, under successive Labour governments, interestingly, has inherited that “vision”, which takes on a notable complexion through Starmer’s “vision” of “Putting AI into the veins of Britain“. What did Howard do that Starmer continues to ardently pursue? He pursues a CCTV, ID-based police state.

Howard believed in cutting edge CCTV surveillance technology, operating with racial biases, at the expense of eroding privacy and human rights for society at large, reinforcing the vulnerabilities of minorities in the process. He used technology as a solution, without tackling first the underlying problems influencing crime, like rising unemployment. Technology seemed to be the priority, as now.

Howard established, while neglectful of privacy concerns and consequences for human rights, an intrusive police state in the midst of soaring unemployment and social unrest, which spied on people and held as much information on guilty and innocent alike. Howard, like many progressive politicians and futurists felt human rights policies, an obstacle to his ideals.

Howard felt that the Human Rights Act (which passed in UK law in 1998) and the the Regulations of Investigating Power Act (RIPA) of 2000, (affecting powers of surveillance and communications interception) placed “inhibitions on the ability of the police to tackle crime effectively” and thought adjustments should be made.

The Home Secretary didn’t entirely get his own way, and some of his policies were successfully legally challenged by the public. An ID card was passionately advocated by Howard, though despite his campaigning, became voluntary, not mandatory.

National ID had faced immense public resistance (a wartime card was abolished in 1952). CCN reports that “In the past, when the government tried to centralize the U.K.’s national identity system, it was met with stiff opposition.” From 2006 to 2010 as more mandatory ID card schemes were being planned, thankfully, public resistance stopped them.

Resurfacing, over and over

The ID card idea constantly resurfaces. The government has been keen to calm fears concerning the Digital ID agenda. According to www.gov.uk, “No, there are no plans to introduce national digital ID cards…Using a digital identity will be voluntary. People will be in control of their data and who it is shared with…People will still be able to prove their identity using physical documents if they choose.”

However, according to enablingdigitalidentity.blog.gov.uk, “On 19 June [2025], the Data (Use and Access) Act received Royal Assent. As well as putting the National Underground Asset Register on a statutory footing and supporting the future of smart data schemes…The new UK legislation formalises the system that is currently operating as a pilot. This will pave the way for trusted digital identities to be used in more places.” According to thinkdigitalpartners.com, “and has set digital ID as a key focus area for 2024. It will be a critical part of the UK’s national infrastructure.”

Labour Together have stated, Britcard “could lay the foundations for a fully-functioning digital identity system…building on the existing One Login and Gov.UK Wallet. Our polling suggests it would be immensely popular; around 80% of the public support use of digital identity for a range of use cases.” The aim is to “…rebrand the Gov.UK App and Gov.UK Wallet as the “BritCard app””. That is, to make Britcard from an existing placeholder entity, the Gov.UK App and Gov.UK Wallet being the “Trojan Horse” that was always meant to bring in a mandatory Digital ID.

Criticism

“Britcard”, was criticised by David Frost (who served as a Minister of State at the Cabinet Office between March and December 2021) who believes, “A normal ID card, bad as it is, is proof of your identity and status. A digital ID is also an instrument of control – because it can shape-shift according to the government’s wishes. That’s why introducing digital ID is to cross a Rubicon. It changes forever the relationship between government and citizen….Think back.

Have we forgotten the lessons of the pandemic, when we all had to have proof of our Covid test status on our phone before we could go certain places or access certain buildings? Briefly, at the end of 2021 – the issue that finally forced me to resign from the Cabinet – we introduced a “vaccine passport” system, which actually denied you access to certain environments unless you had a full vaccination record. This was all done via an app – in effect a digital ID. The government could change the conditions at will and you had no choice but to comply.”

Frost has a point, and as the World Health Organisation and other “Stakeholders” in the smart future relish achieving more gains with more powers, from mining our data, including the police and governments dismissive of concerns over AI ethics and the insecurity of our data.

A stake in the heart of freedom and privacy

People must not forget how controlling governments can be, obsessively, ideologically. With xenophobic overtones, Britcard has been sold in the UK on the basis of an “us and them” proposition, reinforcing “discrimination” to help “sort out” a persistent problem, namely the UK’s problematic Immigration crisis, that feasibly could have been prevented or managed in other ways beyond the scope of a “Digital ID solution”. Certainly, all the CCTV money could buy wasn’t enough.

“Today, police surveillance cameras disproportionately installed in Black and Brown neighborhoods [in the US] keep a constant watch” just as do they in the UK. According to National News, the “United Kingdom has the dubious honour of having the most CCTV cameras per head of any country in the world; the British Security Industry Authority has claimed that there is one camera for every 11-14 people.”

According to Liberty, the UK is “most intrusive mass surveillance regime of any democratic country.” With smart phones requiring mandatory status to make a national, mandatory Digital ID function, one smart phone to every person linking them to their digital self, would spell a definitive blow against freedom.

Big Tech and countless other corporate entities want your data, more of it than you can imagine, and Digital ID would serve it up without any problems through every QR code scanned to prove you exist. This enhanced data grab will not solve immigration and will more likely exclude large swathes of the population who rightfully live here, as happens in repressive regimes where any individual, or minority, suspected of dissent or any not acting as the government demands can be digitally disempowered, or, disappeared.

As salzburgglobal.org observes, “…the developing world has seen the rise of….national digital identity systems, promoted by the World Bank…not enough is done to shield privacy, embed protection safeguards…The implementation of Digital ID is a high risk territory for human rights.” This article lists some excellent cases that describe why. It covers developing countries and Digital ID issues, but could the same “issues” happen in the UK? Or US?

Most likely, they will. Because, “Digital IDs, especially those that integrate biometric data, can be used to track individuals’ movements, purchases, and online activities without their knowledge or consent. Governments may also unduly target specific individuals, using Digital ID blockage or other methods as a weapon against political opponents or vulnerable groups such as migrants.” We know this is happening already.

Collecting information without limits

As the UK government becomes increasingly autocratic and presents technology as the solution for everything, UK citizens should thoroughly question the motivations behind any Digital ID proposition, especially as the government goes to great lengths to erode data privacy, and becomes more repressive.

The UK now has the “Snooper’s Charter” to assist in massive datamining. As Liberty asserts, the Snooper’s Charter allows “State authorities to collect information about everything we do and say online and order private companies to store it…[with] wide-ranging powers to scoop up and store all of our emails, texts, calls, location data and internet history. They can also hack into our phones and computers and create large ‘personal datasets’ on us – all without needing to suspect us of any criminal wrongdoing.” It has many implications for UK citizens, leaving nothing private.

A Digital ID system can only add to this concerted effort for government and corporate stakeholders to control and own data on the population. Clearly this goes well beyond any Immigration policies and drives a stake into the heart of freedom and privacy for all.

That our governments and police enlist the tactical help of Israel (viewed by many as an ideological, repressive regime) has been revealed and can’t be left out of the current political technological situation in which we find ourselves.

The Jewish historian Schlomo Sand is critical of that regime. Of it, he says Zionism, “…was an ideology deeply rooted in a European vision of the nation-state, one which had a racial dimension, required a demographic majority and was permeated by European colonialism and orientalist thinking.”

Arguably, Israel is marred by exlusionist politics, with colonialist baggage. Exclusionist politics reinforce the “digital colonialism” at work in Israel and across the world, which includes campaigns involving smart technologies and biometrics databases, moving towards achieving Digital ID. Politicians and the media so often highlighting border control and other immigration issues seek to drive support of Digital ID, often in divisive language. Keir Starmer, for instance, in relation to immigration issues warned of an “island of strangers“.

Digital ID is being implemented at scale in the EU “mandating compliance from Big Tech and member countries in supporting the EU Digital Identity (EUDI) Wallet”) Source. “Many countries have already announced wallet project and pilots, and some have even rolled out production digital ID wallets at population scale.” Source.

Digital IDs can bring many risks worth noting. According to Reclaim the Net, “…these IDs are susceptible to hacking and identity theft, placing individuals at risk of financial and reputation damage. Often, citizens are coerced into participating without genuine consent, and the lack of transparency and oversight in these systems increases the risk of misuse.”

Digital colonialism

Michael Kwet, observing the strategies of domination waged through digital technologies, states, “…just as they did in 20th-century South Africa, today’s largest U.S.-based technology corporations see an opportunity to profit from Israeli apartheid—a by-product of U.S.-driven digital colonialism.”

Author Renata Avila, also recognises that we are living in times of “digital colonialism” “referring to the deployment of imperial power over a vast number of people, which takes the form of rules, designs, languages, cultures and belief systems serving the interests of dominant powers. In the past, empires expanded their power through the control of critical assets, from trade routes to precious metals.”

Big Tech has long been under scrutiny over its “conflict minerals” supply chains from oppressed, developing colonies in countries like the Democratic Republic of the Congo, the Central African Republic, South Sudan, Uganda, Rwanda, Burundi, Tanzania, Zambia and Angola. Big Tech companies have regularly been accused of complicity in slavery and abuse of ethnic labour forces, as well as fuelling conflict, and assisting repressive regimes. This represents racial abuse in order to achieve infrastructure targets, and technological supremacy in global geopolitics.

Author Renata Avila, asserts that, “Today, it is not states but technology empires that dominate the world through the control of critical digital infrastructures, data and the ownership of computational power. By collecting the personal data of citizens on a scale unprecedented in human history, companies can serve as conduits of misinformation campaigns that can alter the flow of global geopolitics and even change the outcome of elections.”

According to www.europeandatajournalism.eu, “Far from the free and open platforms they were upon their inception, Big Tech companies and social networks have risen to an unprecedented level of power from which they play an active role in politics through vested financial and political motives, exerting influence through algorithmic alterations, subjective censorship and calls to action on their platforms.”

For control of everyone’s data

The “….emerging trend of data colonialism (Couldry & Mejias, 2019) is of critical importance given the fundamental reliance of AI technologies on data, and because organizations gain access to, control data, and develop algorithms in ways which not only emphasize the digital divide but increase data inequality (Zheng & Walsham, 2021). Source.

“Data colonialism” according to Ulises A. Mejias and Nick Couldry in their book Data Grab is “the continuation of colonialism’s inherited inequalities and colonialism’s acquisition of new tools that potentially affects human life in radically new ways…” This “toolset” which exploits data-driven surveillance enables the companies to “explore, expand, exploit, and exterminate.” As lawfaremedia.org highlights from Mejias and Couldry’s research, data colonialism facilitates “the [harmful] classification of people into disadvantageous categories”.

Today, the UK government is arguably advancing data colonialism’s harms by pushing ahead with a Digital ID “with major financial and tech companies, government agencies and regulators and the likes of the Tony Blair Institute for Global Change, among the prominent forces behind the push…”, according to Reclaim The Net.

The UK government sees digital identity as “one of the cornerstones of a modern digital economy [a surveillance economy]” and seeks to promote adoption of “these secure and trusted [data-mining] technologies.” Digital ID remains a controversial idea, for many reasons. As Rebecca Vincent of Big Brother Watch points out, “The debate about digital ID isn’t really about immigration; it’s about access to, and control of everyone’s data.” Source.

Case of digitally-assisted genocide

We know now that the UK’s ID initiative is called “Britcard”. Marketing an ID system to the public has always been a challenge of governments, and in recent times the public has become divided over immigration which relates to UK government inolvement in more overseas war efforts (colonialism) whicle the public reaps the refugee crisis (fuelling data-driven suerveillance at home).

With datamining becoming so expansive and intrusive, and, with governments and other agencies like the Tony Blair Institute for Global Change and Big Tech pushing for Digital IDs in the UK (which can link together numerous datasets including biometric data), are any of these corporate political actors really acting in our best interests, and, if not, are they able to be held legally accountable if found aiding and abetting genocide, through abuse of our data, for example? Is a Big Tech company able to be held accountable if discovered complicit in the killing of citizens?

You might be shocked to know the answer…

Michael J. Kelly, Professor of Law at Creighton University School of Law states in “Prosecuting Corporations for Genocide”, that, “While corporations can realize enormous profits from such complicity [in genocide], they are immune from international prosecution in The Hague…As key participants in the world economy, corporations have been accorded tremendous latitude and granted extensive rights…If a state or a person commits genocide, they are punished. International law demands such. But corporate actors have successfully avoided this through an array of legal arguments…”



Kelly makes it clear that, “while multinational corporations have been complicit in genocides over many years, none have been prosecuted.” Source.

Today Big Tech companies, assisted by US and UK support, together are an asset to Israel supplying high-tech data driven systems and weapons. International condemnation grows over what is clearly a case of AI fuelled, biometrical oriented techno-genocide against the Palestinian people – demonstrating that this could, and most likely will, happen again.

There is plenty of historical precedence for utmost caution regarding National ID programs, and especially regarding trusting Big Tech with any data on the population.

Blast from the past

According to the British Medical Journal, “Eugenics is too frequently overlooked in histories of both the United States and Europe, even though the story is a fascinating and important one.” Social changes brought about by Eugenics and “Big Tech” in the US fascinated the Nazi regime which aquired IBM’s Hollerith Machines, (punch card computer systems) being used in America (which gave the US government important population data and assisted in evolving “the quantified self” (a being defined by computers and collected data)).

Collecting population data with Hollerith Machines, the US of the 1930s was steeped in eugenics (a “racist” pseudo-science). At this time Americans performed the “Bellamy salute” that inspired the Nazi salute, and sought to oppress black communities, (leading to discrimination and sterilisation programs inflicted on Blacks and minorities which ultimately gave rise to pushback and the civil rights movement years after the Second World War).

With IBM’s assistance, the fascist government of Nazi Germany exploited stratified datasets on the public sorting people into groups. According to historian Edwin Black, “IBM technology was used to organize nearly everything in Germany and then Nazi Europe, from the identification of the Jews in censuses, registrations, and ancestral tracing programs to the running of railroads and organizing of concentration camp slave labor.”

In Nazi Germany, segments of the populace simply had no right to live and were considered by the eugenicist technocracy as “life unworthy of life”. Nazism fuelled social divides, fanned flames of hate, and facilitated euthanasia programs like Aktion T4, organised round-ups of targeted populations, and “discretely” sterilising selected groups. All was the result of enforced structural racism by “supremacists” using eugenics and technology hand in hand to re-organise society along technocratic lines – with much of it financed by US corporations. Nothing has changed, today Big Tech still assists and profits from apartheid regimes and exploiting data in ways that create harmful discrimination, which conforms with a technocratic, eugenicist outlook.

Dehumanisation into data points

We may remember the Rwandan genocide, characterised by the use of data to eliminate people. As KTPress reports, Rwanda saw genocide facilitated by National ID data. Despite the “hard lesson”, today, as reported by Biometric Update, “The government of Rwanda is investing 12.2 billion Rwandan francs (approximately US$8.5 million) in the upcoming 2025-2026 fiscal year to advance the rollout of the nation’s digital identity program, including fingerprint and iris biometrics enrollment.” KTPress reports that, “At the World Economic Forum, Minister Ingabire announced that Rwanda expects AI to contribute up to 6% of GDP in the near future.” Turning people into data points is the future, in the context of the Internet of Things (IoT), a system connecting everyone to an infrastructure of smart technology.

Anasuya Sengupta, Fellow at the Robert Bosch Academy and co-director and co-founder of “Whose Knowledge?” addressing issues of power, privilege, and accessibility, states that, “…the Internet not only helps to promote solidarity and connect people in different places, but also reinforces existing injustice, discrimination, and violence. Technology and algorithms are not neutral, they are political. Technology follows a certain architecture, which is why it reinforces discrimination and prejudice – depending on who designs it…the majority of the world is not represented on the Internet…People have turned from consumers into data points – and therefore into products.”

Ulises A. Mejias and Professor Nick Couldry from the State University of New York in their book “Data Grab” show that little has really changed since the Nazis or Rwandan governments exploited machine data, as technological empires utlising the IoT “…explore, expand, exploit, and exterminate”. In an interview with the London School of Economics (LSE) Couldry explained that, “human experience, potentially every layer and aspect of it, is becoming the target of profitable extraction.”

Demand the end of Digital ID

From the UK to Ukraine, and from the past to the present, we can see what is becoming of our world. Through intrusive forms of smart surveillance allied to military-style policing, the streets of some cities are becoming technological, data-gathering warzones.

In this authoritarian atmosphere, of technological “supremacism” smart phones – as demanded by industry and governments, for Digital ID-based digital transformations – are gravitating towards becoming mandatory devices. This is to guarantee one’s very existence, and, extract the profitability of one’s identity, with AI algorithms that contain uncomfortable biases and are known to be highly discriminatory.

This trajectory, devoid of any ethical oversight, promotes the predatory data-mining environment of the Big Tech companies and other corporate “stakeholders” exploiting the unfettered digital monitoring of everyone’s lives. This is life in a “surveillance economy” powered by “Digital Colonialism” – which operates to the benefit of dominant powers while limiting individual autonomy.

This AI-driven digital colonialism amounts to unprecedented surveillance of the population, or “datafication” driven by profit, where corporations and governments claim ownership of data generated by individuals. Nobody owns their data, or knows for sure how it may ultimately affect their lives.

As I said at the start, the prospect of a national Digital ID should amplify myriad questions, highlighting, in addition to any notions of convenience, the inescapable darker sides, that we dismiss at our peril.

With wireless radiation still posing a threat to black and white communities alike – in terms of posing a health risk – as well as being the means by which data is conveyed to empower the AI-surveillance society we never wanted, we have every reason to challenge the erosion of our rights and demand the end of Digital ID which, if made mandatory, brings huge potential to disempower more of our freedoms, choices, and human rights, including activism and protest itself, which will push us further into darkness.

In a thought-provoking essay, The Simple Story of Civilization, author Tom Murphy condenses the approximately 2.5 million years we humans have been here on Earth into an average life span of 75 years. In this model, the first 70 years represent the period during which different species of humans evolved. The last five years correlate to the age of Homo Sapiens (starting c. 200,000 years ago) where we lived and evolved in a kind of ecological homeostasis with the rest of the natural world. 

The last 15 weeks (beginning c.10,000 years ago real time) represents the beginnings of agriculture where we set ourselves apart from, and above the rest of the natural world, and when we began to view Earth as a mere repository of resources for human endeavors. With the advent of agriculture came cities, property, surplus, storage, enslavement of both animals and humans­, armies, and hierarchy. 

In the last 36 hours, a mere blip in time, we dialed things up with the discovery of fossil fuels imagining we now had unlimited powers and could manifest all manner of creature comforts. 

The remaining 12 hours (representing the last 50 years in real time) bring us to the present day of “global ecological devastation” in Murphy’s own words.

Most recently, with the exponential proliferation of technology and AI, our hubristic notions of super-power have been amplified adding fuel to the already expansionary fires of unchecked growth and resource extraction. 

Implications of the technological Tsunami for 21^st century warfighting

War too has morphed over time from person-to-person combat, perhaps atop horses or on war elephants, to the current battlefield of AI-controlled systems that weave together Earth, sea, air, space, and cyber space. Invisible electromagnetic battles now take place through the airwaves, with cyber warfare a click away. Remote-controlled nuclear warheads boast speeds up to 20 times that of sound, and nuclear Armageddon is precariously locked in a global stalemate of mutually assured destruction – which, according to the Doomsday Clock, is currently 90 seconds before midnight.

The world’s military is a major contributor to our global ecological devastation. In 2022 it accounted for an estimated 5.5% of global CO2 emissions, although likely that figure is higher as militaries are quite secretive and not required to report emissions. The US military alone is the world’s largest institutional consumer of hydrocarbons “…belching out more emissions than industrialised nations like Portugal and Denmark” in the words of Lorraine Mallinder from Aljazeera. 

Mallinder goes on to say that military expansion has also impacted air quality, ecosystems, biodiversity, and the health of people living near bases. 

Outer space has become pivotal for warfighting and is now being decked out with thousands of satellites to weave together, coordinate, and manage the deluge of data flowing in from all branches of the military as well as from civilian sources. 

Transmitters include cell towers, satellites, underwater sensors, surveillance cameras, cell phones, smart cities, facial recognition technology and other biometric markers, robots, the Internet of Battlefield Things (IoBT) consisting of networked helmets, combat gear and other wearables, etc. 

AI algorithms sort through and make sense of these vast streams of data and provide actionable items to militaries. 

In addition, electromagnetic radiation has significantly upped the ante in three new domains of warfighting: 

• Cyber Warfare – attacks on computer systems and connected infrastructure 
• Electronic Warfare – battles in the electromagnetic spectrum; electromagnetic pulse attacks potentially downing a nations entire electrical grid; or directed energy weapons used to fry components. 
• Cognitive Warfare – manipulation of how people think, feel, and act. 

Other means of expansion being used to recklessly hurtle us all from 5G to 6G, FutureG, and beyond include: 

• Dual use technology where militaries join forces with industry to speed innovation.
• Proliferation – whereby satellites and other systems scale to thousands or tens of thousands, so the loss of a few won’t affect the overall viability of the system. 
• Lethal Autonomous Weapons (LAWs) where warfighting is increasingly handed over to AI-controlled weapons and systems that make decisions at blistering speeds, while relegating humans to mere bystanders attempting to stay in the loop if at all possible. 

With the US and China vying for first mover advantage, over seventy countries sporting government space agencies, and many satellite programs springing up from the private sector as well, we are fast depleting Earth’s “resources,” turbo-charging warfighting, while clogging up the Heavens with ever more debris

Reflections

If the notion of digital technology as a testament to human ingenuity seems a bit grim, and techno-optimism – technology’s power to “save mankind” – is beginning to sound lame…. well, you’re not alone. Many of us are grieving deeply as we bear witness to the harms being inflicted on all Life.  

Personally, I find some solace and inspiration in the following phrase from the Hebrew blessing recited after a meal: V’achalta, v’savata, ou v’rachta – And you shall eat, and be satiated, and you shall bless. 

And you shall eat – in Hebrew v-achalta – refers to more than just consuming food. It means taking in or experiencing something from “outside” of ourselves and allowing it to inform or transform us as it is “digested” into our mind, heart, and body – e.g., smelling a flower, listening to a song, or navigating a life challenge.

And you shall be satiated – v’savata – refers to the sweet point of satiation where we have just enough but not one drop too much. When we ingest food deplete of nutrients or partake of experiences devoid of meaning, we are left feeling unsatisfied and prone to over consume. But when we partake of the substance of real life – not the illusory and frivolous distractions of for-sale and for-profit substitutes – then enough is truly and generously enough.

Ou’verachta — and you shall bless. We lend our unique signature to what we “consume” as we send it back out into the world via our thoughts, intentions, words, and deeds – hopefully, in the form of blessings to all living beings and to Earth herself. 

If we can find our eco-niche – our unique place in the web of life – we will interrelate with one another with respect, restraint, and love…  and our actions – both individual and collective – will bring blessing, not war.    

During this vanishingly small moment in evolutionary time brought about by the confluence of 

• separating ourselves from the web of life
• the desire for dominion
• the discovery of fossil fuels
•  and more recently supercharged by digital technology and AI, 

… we humans seem to have lost our way and have become a threat to all living beings. 

But there’s an undertow growing stronger by the day beneath the tidal waves of consumerism and war: A powerful movement of people dedicating every fiber of their being to help shift our global consciousness to one of inter-being, and to rekindle greater reverence and care for all Life. The movement isn’t new but thankfully is growing by leaps and bounds, fueled by our collective grief and our inherent reverence for Life. 

Many wonderful authors, visionaries, speakers etc. are contributing to the movement, each with their own unique flavor. Following is a small sampling of a few I have found particularly inspiring. 

Bill Plotkin from the Animas Institute has developed a program for guiding soul initiation and assisting people in becoming Visionary Artisans of Cultural Evolution. Author and visionary Jeremy Lent invites people to join Deep Transformation Network, a growing group of people feeling their way into a more eco-conscious future. In the podcast series, The Great Simplification, Nate Hagen interviews an extraordinary array of people from diverse fields each addressing the Metacrisis in their own way. Author and translator, David Hinten recalls past civilizations that were able to sustain and nurture the land they were on for thousands of years due to a profound understanding of their niche in the web of Life. And finally, Iain McGilchrist who explains how, in our 21^st century civilization, the more strategic goal-oriented left hemisphere of the brain has gained dominance over the right hemisphere that sees more holistically, and that intuits our interconnectedness with all Life. 

At this pivotal and critical moment in time the powerful forces driving expansion and war coupled with exponential technology and AI are a Cosmic Invitation – indeed a plea and a prayer – for us to find and savor our individual and collective ecological niche here on Earth where enough is truly and generously enough.

“The solution to true sustainability doesn’t lie with new technology but in relying on the natural “technology” that is the universe.”

Big Tech Posits Itself as Inventors, When It Exploits

“They extract,” Shiva says, “They don’t create anything … software programmers create the platforms that they use. Even Bill Gates didn’t really write his basic program. It was two math professors in Dartmouth College.”

“She uses Gates’ Ag One as an example, which is basically the idea to make one type of agriculture for the whole world, which will be owned and controlled by Gates from the top down. It’s headquartered in St. Louis, Missouri, where Monsanto, acquired by Bayer in 2018 is also headquartered.

“This includes digital farming, in which farmers are surveilled and mined for their agricultural data, which is then repackaged and sold back to them. There are parallels throughout society. Shiva explains:

“We watched what’s going on in India and we pieced it together. So basically he’s financing a lot of data mining from farmers, which will then be packaged as Big Data and sold back to farmers. This is exactly what happened in your 2016 elections. Facebook sold data to Cambridge Analytica.”

[ ] ”it’s very important to remember that in these 25 years of corporate deregulation of commerce you basically have a lot of money in the hands of very few people.

And they then are the ones investing in all the companies. The companies are not independent companies anymore. They’re basically billionaire money managed by the investment funds like Blackrock and Vanguard.”

Vandana Shiva asks “What economic policies are pushed when the people are divided?”

“The refusal to cooperate with unjust law was termed a duty of truth by Gandhi.”

“This is the time to make oneness and interconnectedness, as one humanity on one planet, the political project of our time. We have to remember we are one humanity. We are part of one Earth, and whatever we do we will not let this basic recognition divide us, either from the Earth or from each other … together we are strong.”

Tech Lay-offs; The Sky Really is Falling

The plan of the 1% to make others disposable, discussed by Vandana Shiva, is manifesting in massive layoffs across the tech sector.

This week, Business Insider’s “10 THINGS IN TECH” writer Diamond Naga Siu reported, “On Wednesday, Amazon started its largest round of layoffs in company history after giving employees the heads up that they were coming two weeks earlier. Meanwhile, Microsoft finally confirmed 10,000 layoffs after reports days earlier that they were going to happen.”

“These cost-cutting measures are incredibly dire for employees. But they help companies come out on top,”

A day later, Business Insider reported that “Google is laying off 12,000 employees, or around 6% of its global workforce. Sundar Pichai, the CEO of parent company Alphabet, told staff in a memo that he took “full responsibility for the decisions that led us here.” Read his message to employees here.”

“Amazon employees were laid off via email. Rather than having a face-to-face meeting, employees learned about their layoff through generic emails. “Unfortunately, your role has been eliminated,” it read. Here’s the full, impersonal message.”

“That Stings — Microsoft hosted an invite-only concert. Days before layoffs were announced, Microsoft executives reportedly rocked out at an invite-only Sting concert. The exclusive fete of around 50 people was held in Davos, Switzerland. More on the private party here.” – Business Insider

About Sustainability: Conduit, Fiber, Wireless

On Jan 11, Industry analyst Doug Dawson, CCG Consulting published, “Measuring Sustainability.” “The longest-lived asset that is being constructed with grants is conduit. There is no reason why a well-maintained conduit system shouldn’t still be fully functional a century from now.” “There are big debates about the economic life of fiber. If you go by the economic lives allowed by IRS depreciation, then the expected life of fiber is 25 or 30 years. We know that’s ridiculous because there is plenty of forty-year-old fiber still chugging along in the field. We also know that fiber constructed today is far better than fiber built forty years ago. The manufacturers have learned to make higher-quality glass with less impurities. But the big change in the industry is that the folks that install fiber have learned techniques that minimize damage during construction. Poor handling of fiber manifests twenty years later as micro-fissures – and that means cloudy glass. Nobody will give an expected life for well-maintained fiber, but scientists at some of the manufacturers have privately told me that they think it’s at least 75 years – we’ll just have to wait to find out.” “The assets that cause the most concern for sustainability are electronics – be that fiber electronics or fixed wireless electronics. All electronics must periodically be replaced. I’ve seen some fiber electronics last fifteen years – but that seems to be near the upper end of economic life. The general industry wisdom is that fixed wireless systems have to be replaced every 7 to 10 years.” “This all means that the sustainability of electronics must be a concern for all technologies. Any ISP that wins grant funding will likely be replacing some electronics within a decade.” – Doug Dawson

From green washing, to testing ‘safety’ on inanimate dummies, to ignoring harm to human health and the environment, to employing tobacco scientists. to paying politicians, to planned obsolescence, to lack of security, to undisclosed dual uses including surveillance and control, to mining and disposal issues- the industry has been out of integrity for decades.

Sarah Fuhro, A Nature-informed Druid View: The Tower

Reflecting on the January 2023 New moon, Druid teacher Sarah Fuhro wrote, “I wasn’t surprised when I read the Sabian Symbol for the degree of Sun and Moon when they conjoin this Saturday to begin a new lunar cycle and a new year for the Chinese: ‘AN UNEXPECTED THUNDERSTORM.  KEYNOTE: The need to develop the inner security which will enable us to meet unexpected crises.

“The unexpected thunderstorm connected me to the Tower Card in Tarot, which has a connection with Mars, an important player [ ] Mars is at 8 degrees of Gemini, at this moment the same degree and sign where it was located at the moment when America was founded.

The message of The Tower card is about the end of isolation. We are blown out of a situation which has become constrictive. When I see The Tower card, I think of the story of Merlin, and Vortigern’s Tower.

The British prince Vortigern had been at war with the Picts (pre-Celtic tribes),and had invited Saxons to come into his territory as a way to defend his castle and lands. He decided to build a tower for himself and his family in case either group should take over. This was in violation of his responsibilities to defend all of his people.

The tower would not stand over night, but kept tumbling down. After three attempts, he asked his magicians for help. They recommended the sacrifice of a virgin child.

Merlin was fourteen years old. His mother was a noblewoman who had born a mysterious child out of wedlock. Her story was of a demon who had entered her bedroom without permission. The young Merlin had no father to defend him and his mother was disgraced, so he was clearly marked for sacrifice.

He was taken to the site of the tower, and prepared for sacrifice. Instead, he began to ‘see.’

“Because you are ignorant of what it is that hinders the foundation of the tower, you have recommended the shedding of my blood for cement to it, as if that would presently make it stand. But tell me now, what is there under the foundation? For something there is that will not suffer it to stand.” The magicians began to be afraid, and made him no answer.

THEN said Merlin, who was also called Ambrose, command your workmen to dig into the ground, and you will find a pond which causes the foundation to sink.”

This accordingly was done. They found a pond deep under ground, which had made it give way. Merlin after this went again to the magicians, and said, “Tell me, ye false sycophants, what is there under the pond.” But they were silent. Then said he again to the king, “Command the pond to be drained, and at the bottom you will see two hollow stones, and in them two dragons asleep.”

And it was just so. Two dragons burst from the stones, one white and one red. They rose and twisted in the air and became symbolic of the struggle between the Celtic and Saxon people. When Merlin saw them, he broke into tears, and at that moment, he became the great magician of the British people forever after. Now the tower could be built to last, but it did not save the coward Vortigern, who was soon overthrown by the Saxons.”

Note to ‘Environmentalists’ from Earth: GET OFF THE WIRELESS BANDWAGON: An Unstable, Unsustainable Foundation Cannot Stand

While the foundation of Vortigern’s tower was unstable because it was built over water, the foundation of the wireless tech behemoth is also unstable because it is built upon deception. (for example, how often smart meters transmit).

The latest chapter to unfold in the wireless untruth realm occurred in L.A.  As reported by Fiber First L.A., “Despite overwhelming opposition from local citizens and support from across the country, the Los Angeles Board of Supervisors voted unanimously on January 10th to adopt changes to its zoning code supported by the wireless industry. Citizens have been stripped of their rights, fire and safety concerns have been ignored, critical environmental protections have been dismissed, and any checks on the wireless industry have been virtually eliminated.”

“On December 5th, Verizon submitted a letter to the LA Board of Supervisors with an attachment – a “petition” allegedly signed by more than 1,000 Los Angeles residents supporting the telecom-friendly ordinances.

We were skeptical. And when we checked, a lot of the names turned out to be minors, or people who had died. We spoke to a handful of people whose names were on the petition, and they all denied having signed it. Is your name on this list? Let us know! Filing a false instrument with a government agency is a felony under California law.” -Fiber First LA

On the other side of the country, the Verizon Pittsfield tower debacle continues.

How does a society learn from Nature? What becomes of a society that does not?

Just as those living in polar regions of the Earth accumulated expertise regarding snow, ice, and cold weather flora and fauna, cultures in the equatorial regions, and especially along coastal waters, developed expertise for their temperate climate.

The impact of the moon on the tides is one important variable recognized by ancient cultures.

Wisdom traditions addressing planting, growing, breeding of livestock, and safe travel especially along rivers that froze and thawed were refined by various societies, over 5,000 years ago, across the globe.

In some areas, this accumulated knowledge continues to exert influence.  This is especially true where local time is perceived and recognized as a manifestation of energy, and where the moon’s electromagnetic influence informs the culture.

In contrast, societies that perceive and utilize time only as a commodity and a tool to coordinate the masses have lost their moorings in terms of alchemizing with the frequencies of the Earth and its natural cycles, including the rhythms of the electromagnetic environment.

Increasingly, this disconnect dominates in the West.

When to Rest and When to Exert: Observing Nature

For example, high noon corresponds to the moment when the sun is highest in the sky. Both the Indian and Chinese cultures recognized that this angle of the sun’s rays also corresponds to particular physiological configurations in the physical body, as does the phenomenon of midnight. This knowledge continues to guide the populace in the East. In Chinese medicine, as an expression of yin and yang, bio-energy is understood to be active on the outside during the day and active on the inside at nighttime.

As an example of another pattern of exertion and rest, when I volunteered at a puppy rescue, the director divided the dogs into compatible groups to be let out into the larger yard for playtime. But try as she did to keep imposing the schedule, all of the puppies would sleep in the early afternoon, in alignment with their inherent biorhythms, which were choreographed by the angle of the sun’s rays. (And, their physiology did not observe daylight savings, nor does ours.)

Life on Earth has co-evolved to harmonize with patterns of frequencies that envelop the Earth, from the tides to the seasons to longer cycles lost to the West.

Faced with a scenario like the sleepy puppies, there is a choice point described by many spiritual traditions and roughly translated as ‘will or surrender.’

In this case, surrender implies wise acceptance, and not weakness or loss of sovereignty. or being over-powered.

Many are recognizing, belatedly, that individual sovereignty and health is dependent upon a pure relationship with the Earth’s electromagnetic cosmic current.

The task of present generations to turn the tide towards recognition and acceptance of Nature’s rhythms. This implies acceptance that unhinged technology is leading humanity in the wrong direction.

Understanding the Power of Nature in 2023: Winter Solstice

From the perspective of countless wisdom schools, the true place of power (and only true foundation to ‘sustainability’) lies in acceptance, recognition, reverence, and partnership with Natural Law. 

This brings us to the energies inherent in 2023, and the question of whether a specific culture or society or individual choice is manifesting the energies of force, and disconnected from reverence for the cosmos, or embodying balance and harmony. It’s not a difficult discernment. Particularly if nature or human health is being harmed, inappropriate force is in play.

Time, Energy and Cosmic Law

We have forgotten that humanity’s consciousness is related to its relationship with Time. When a society separates Time from Energy, it becomes unhinged from the planet.

The Gregorian calendar in use in most of the world was imposed via violence and force. For example, the New Year celebration observed on December 31 in the Gregorian calendar was derived from the intent to sever the grounding offered through recognition of the Winter Solstice energy.

There is nothing wrong or incorrect about being able to coordinate travel across long distances by applying a concept of “time” that is averaged across great distances.

But areas of the world where “local time” has been preserved are often perceived and portrayed as less developed. This includes the African continent. In fact, supposed ‘modern’ technocracy is devoid of knowledge of Natural Law. It this regard, it is both primitive and de-evolutionary.

The trajectory of our technology will be viewed by our ancestors as irrational, and as a form of techno-ecocide.

Centralized Authorities – Unhinged

Authorities including the World Health Organization and World Economic Forum are asserting that centralized approaches are required to address planetary societal issues.  

In truth, many of these efforts are being forcefully imposed not for humanitarian outcomes, but in pursuit of continued concentrated acquisition of wealth, power, and control. Centralized authorities holding entrenched power do not appear to be moving in the direction of respecting nature or surrendering the quest for control.  

The choices of the masses will determine how much longer the dysfunctional power-hungry approaches will endure.

Understanding the Power of Nature in 2023: Chinese New Year New Moon

Through-out Asia, on Jan 22, cultures will be observing the second new moon following the Winter Solstice.

Because a New Moon occurred on Dec. 23 in 2022, the Chinese New Year this year is falling on one of the earliest days possible for 2023. (When juxtaposed with the Gregorian calendar, it can fall as late as Feb. 20.)

Much of modern society did not notice either the earlier December New Moon, or the Solstice, or the relationship between the two.

A point of turning of the year is generally obscured via football championships. This matters.

The Chinese seers recognized that seeds underground begin to turn to face the sun on Feb. 4. The importance of Feb. 4 is also recognized in the cross quarter of the Celtic wheel. In the West we have Ground Hog Day.

In the East, by observing whether or not the Chinese New Year landed before or after the Feb. 4 “eyes of spring” and the resulting impact on the growing season, a 60-year luni-solar calendar was developed in 2637 B.C. It is comprised of twelve animals moving through 5 elements.  

The fact that the second New Moon after the Winter Solstice falls early this year is understood to hold implications for the timing of the spring thaw, which influences all activities along the banks of the rivers where early societies flourished.  The sixty-year cycle holds implications for auspicious choices about which plants will thrive, and whether or not the year will express drought or flooding or windy conditions.

The ancient seers, who had the ability to view the dance of energy within the cosmos, correlated the energies they observed to animals that were familiar to the people. For example, when a dog enters the chicken pen, pandemonium can arise, and the transition period from the year of the Rooster to the year of the Dog was tracked and recognized to express unsettled weather conditions. Other transitions proceed more calmly.

However, beyond agriculture and weather, the Chinese luni-solar calendar was far more nuanced and informative than has been portrayed in the West, especially for health.

Hiking along the Charles River this fall, the land was covered by mugwort growing in the wild. At the same time, it was not a good year for tomatoes.  Another year, nettles might predominate.

Is the planet so remarkably benevolent that herbs flourish from one year to the next based on the same yearly electromagnetic patterns that influence health?

If it is true that each of the twelve meridians of Oriental Medicine dominates for 2 hours each day, and if it is true that a set of meridians dominates in each of the seasons and at the cross quarters of the solstice and equinox, is it also true that each year, a different meridian pathway is receiving a strong impulse from the universe, while another is in a resting stage?

Yes, this is what the meridian wheel might imply.

This understanding could be recovered as the spiritual inheritance for all of humanity,

The Law of Midnight and 2023: Rabbits vs. Tigers

The Law of Midnight implies that as the Year of the Tiger (3 to 5 am, Stomach)) yields to the Year of the Rabbit (5 to 7 am), the high tide of the Lung is now yielding to the high tide of the Large Intestine frequencies. We are at the boundary waters.

In a sense, the Large Intestine is being nursed by the year’s solar radiation.

At the same time, within the exquisite geometry of the Meridian Flow Wheel, when the Large Intestine (5 to 7 am) is receiving an increase in energy, the Kidneys (Rooster, 5 to 7 pm), across the wheel will experience an opposite ‘midnight’ low tide, or rest.

The seers understood that each meridian could either be stimulated or sedated in order to balance the individual’s energy field with the cosmos. This is but one foundation of the exquisite eloquence of the science of acupuncture.  

The luni-solar calendar implies that a twelve-year cycle exists influencing both health and agriculture. The pattern was established through observation, direct experience, and accurate record keeping, unsurpassed by the West.

It belongs to all of us.

Decades: The Wrong Framework for Pattern Recognition

The patterns of the cosmos are not apparent when statistics are classified by decades and centuries, as has been imposed in the West.  In fact, recently the World Health Organization shifted its data collection for disease and death to 20- year cohorts, which obscures the pattern or earlier onset of Alzheimer’s and other neurological conditions and diseases.  

Observing a twelve-year pattern, the Chinese seers noticed that health would be either enhanced or challenged by the high and low tides of the different meridians, and they adjusted their lifestyles accordingly.

In the Year of the Rabbit (Large Intestine high tide), those with low Kidney constitution may experience lower vitality. and need to conserve to protect their essence and kidney chi. Strategies could include herbs, massage, stretching, acupressure and acupuncture, management of cold exposures, and conservation in sexual activity especially for older men, especially in winter. Because the Kidneys are likened to an essential battery, the guarding of Kidney essence is a foundation of Chinese Medicine and culture.

Recognition of the twelve-year cycle playing out against individual constitution challenges the foundations of mass medical care. This might include the idea that an individual must take the same prescription medication for life. Energy medicine sheds doubt on the validity of side effects which strain one system to support another, when harmonization could be pursued.

Acceptance of surgeries that remove organs, surgeries that cut across the meridian electromagnetic pathways, and non-emergency surgeries at the time of the full moon are examples of practices not informed by available recognition of Time as a manifestation of Energy.

Most importantly, energetic literacy points to the danger of blanketing the planet, the nature environment, and human organisms with artificial man-made frequencies.

The global experience of the health crisis of the last few years would have played out very differently in an energy-literate humanity, because knowledge is an antidote to existential terror.

Self-Care and Self Knowledge Yields Compassion and Understanding

Denigration by the West including ridicule of “astrology” borne of misunderstanding (and cultural arrogance) has resulted in the separation of many Eastern practices from their contextual cosmological world view.

In this short video, Indian teacher Sadguru explains that Yoga means aligning with the Cosmic Geometry. “”Now this possibility, of a simple thing called yoga is not about twisting your body, it’s not about getting fit, it’s not about getting healthy, this all these things nature will do for you if only if you live in tune with it.”

The Chinese Culture and Calendar

History.com reports, “The Western-style Gregorian calendar arrived in China along with Jesuit missionaries in 1582. It began to be used by the general population by 1912, and New Year’s Day was officially recognized as occurring on January 1. Beginning in 1949, under the rule of Chinese Communist Party leader Mao Zedong, the government forbade celebration of the traditional Chinese New Year and followed the Gregorian calendar in its dealings with the West.

But at the end of the 20th century, Chinese leaders were more willing to accept the Chinese tradition. In 1996, China instituted a weeklong vacation during the holiday—now called Spring Festival—giving people the opportunity to travel home and to celebrate the new year.  In the early 21st century, many Chinese families spent a significant amount of their discretionary income celebrating the Spring Festival with traditional symbols and food. They also spent time watching the televised Spring Festival Gala: an annual variety show featuring traditional and contemporary singers, dancers and magic demonstrations.  Although the rites of the holiday no longer officially carry religious value, people remain sensitive to the symbolism of the zodiac animals. The zodiac animal is considered, for example, when assessing personal fortunes or the prospects of a child born at that time.”

Try as they might, Chinese rulers could not impose the Gregorian calendar, and were not able to eradicate the wisdom traditions of yesteryear. Against the force of rule of their leaders, the Chinese people sustained the practices that harmonize with the time/space continuum, from Feng Shui to observing the Chinese New Year.

This includes recognizing the new moon detoxification and full moon absorbing properties, and knowing when to plant, water, fertilize, and harvest.

The practices are not “superstitious.” They are simply beyond the scope of the primitive sciences of the West.

Eastern recognition of the planet’s cosmic current can be contrasted to creating an artificial, insatiable demand for uniformed satellite data and so-called precision agriculture. The contrived demand for data is being weaponized.

One antidote is the wisdom of the ancestors.

We can recover knowledge of planetary patterns, as our birthright.

We can learn a great deal from the Eastern, indigenous, and equatorial island cultures nearer to the moon that studied the lunar declination, waning and waxing phases, and sign, and understood the effect of the eclipses, including the impact on rhythms synchronizing human health.

We can be humble. Time is energy, frequency, and medicine.

We are currently caught in a rip tide, with the undertow of ungrounded technology dragging us away from the shoreline.

The question is not necessarily whether or not the sixty-year luni-solar calendar developed over 5,000 years ago is still accurate. The question is whether or not we can reconnect with our powers of perception and pattern recognition again.

In the same way that our sense of direction and map reading ability is being replaced by satellite imagery, the question is whether or not we will recognize our ability to dowse the universe against the backdrop of time as energy. And in the process, to stop hurting ourselves and one another.

Aligning with cosmic geometry is a prayer of Thanksgiving. Nature is calling.

When I was five years old, my parents hosted a fund-raising dinner to further Dr. Martin Luther King’s work. I recall Dr. King sitting in an armchair in our living room with his warm, gracious, and welcoming smile. 

My sister and I were invited downstairs in our “party robes” to greet Dr. King and the other guests. We proudly handed Dr. King our year’s savings from our weekly allowance which came to $4 and $2 respectively. I asked Dr. King to sign my turquoise blue autograph penguin. To Kate, Best Wishes from Martin Luther King Jr. thereafter graced the underside of my penguin’s floppy wing. I felt Dr. King’s kind heart and trusted him implicitly. 

My parents were active in civil rights in the 1950s and 60s and tried to teach me about racism. But how do you explain racism to a child? I just couldn’t understand. How does a society choose what traits they will target as the brunt of racism, I wondered. Perhaps freckles or hazel eyes? Maybe those with turned up noses or red hair? It all seemed so arbitrary — so difficult to grasp. 

65 years later, I find myself still trying to understand racism, and along with it, human nature which spans on one side, Dr. King’s unwavering love and respect for others and his commitment to justice and non-violence, and on the other, the utterly despicable depravity of those who, behind the scenes, orchestrated Dr. King’s assassination. What follows is a window into my current thinking, which, I would hope, may provide one of infinite possible entry ramps to Truth.  

The Beginning of Separation

Our civilization’s journey into racism began long ago when we started to view ourselves separate from nature. Though likely this notion was around before the Old Testament, the Bible became a vehicle for its dissemination. According to Scripture, mankind was to have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over every living thing that moves upon the earth. That seems like a clear give-away of the natural world to humans to do as they will. 

But just two verses earlier, it states, And God said, let us make man in our image, after our likeness. We were enjoined to emulate God in our care for the natural world, arguably rendering our dominion a noble enterprise. 

Yet that was not how it played out, at least not in the short term. With these two statements, a hierarchical division was set up: God (on high) was King; below were humans, created in His image; and below humans were animals and the rest of the natural world. 

Though perhaps not the intended purpose of the Bible, once we humans imagined ourselves separate from God (albeit in His image) and from Life’s intrinsic and exquisite Unity, we entered an epoch of othering, and power over. To maintain Scripture’s precariously balanced hierarchical arrangement without succumbing to othering would take infinite consciousness and wisdom, a task we were clearly not up to yet.

Instead, the marvels, abundance and biodiversity of the natural world came to be seen as a repository of resources for the ensuing cosmic human-centered story; one of endless expansion, exploitation, and war accelerating exponentially over time. 

Animals were reduced to capital (capitale in medieval Latin refers to cattle or property). Eventually monocultures and agrotechnology would begin to replace the vast variety of nature’s offerings and our connection to the land. The DNA of all living beings and indeed, the natural world herself, would come to be catalogued for control and manipulation. 

Seeing the natural world through the prism of power over, extended to how we viewed one another as well. Indigenous people, still deeply connected to the land and ecology, were considered primitive, to be civilized and educated by Anglo European colonizers who thought themselves more in the know. In many cases, forced removal, slavery, or genocide were used to procure resources which promised wealth and prosperity for the colonizers.  

The history of slavery in the US is yet another example of mass “othering” that has left a gaping wound in our national consciousness we are just beginning to heal 150 years later. 

Another iteration of power over can be seen in the treatment of women who were considered property or, as in the story of Lilith, an evil temptation to men. At best, gentlemen were enjoined to treat women kindly as they were thought to be frail, not so bright, and somewhat helpless creatures. 

As capitalism flourished in the West, othering found new and fertile ground in the marketplace. The question for US corporations throughout the last century was how best to manage what, according to Freud and his nephew Edward Bernays, was the unruly, irrational mind of the masses. In fact, much of the 20^th century featured business and government and their think tanks manipulating and shaping public taste, opinions, needs, and desires, along with the help of corporate aligned (and owned) mainstream media.

A new industry called public relations arose to ensure continued corporate profit and a malleable public. People were no longer viewed as citizens but rather as consumers. (See the excellent BBC documentary, The Century of the Self.) Bernays and other public relations experts guided industry toward a shift from a need-based culture to one of desire, and advised government on how to convince the American people of a need for war. 

In the latter part of the 20th century, with the public largely disillusioned from the atrocities of the Vietnam War, a new movement arose that focused on individual self-expression, and that opposed materialism and war. The free market was threatened yet again. But ever on the pulse of human behavior, focus and working groups were formed to study the mind of this new human; and once again, industry thrived, while the masses were to remain docile buying machines.  

Technology Magnifies Othering

We’re now in the throes of the ultimate form of othering as Big Tech and its handlers strive to connect every event, thing, and human to the internet, imagining that by doing so we will have complete control and mastery over Earth and all life. We dehumanize one another yet further by converting people into gigabytes of meaningless 1s and 0s which form the digital profiles of every internet-connected person on the planet. Included in the future vision of Big Tech et al, are plans to colonize the moon, space, Mars and beyond, as Earth is showing signs of wear-and-tear and may soon be “used up”.  Could there be any greater manifestation of othering than viewing Earth herself as disposable? 

Power over is growing commensurately with the expansion of technology. Big Tech is quite literally colonizing our minds and lives by harvesting mountains of data to be used to manipulate our actions and choices. Coupled with the effects of artificial electromagnetic frequencies on our pineal gland, our migration into cyber space has caused estrangement from our own inner intuition, guidance, imagination, and will. 

More recently, industry and government PR teams have come up with the notion of a “renewable future” to ensure continued growth. The thinking is that solar and wind will save the day from dependence on fossil fuel, and the economy can keep expanding limitlessly. In fact, technology, data, surveillance, and AI are now being promoted as the answer for a green future. (By green they meant a so-called “sustainable” future, but clearly there was a double entendre as US currency is also colored green.) But though solar and wind may play a small role in creating a viable future, as Ron N. Kostoff, Ph.D. explained in a recent communication, “Renewables will not save us, nor will electric vehicles. Too much fossil-based energy is required to develop and maintain renewables, as well as electric cars. The only way to survive is to live sustainably like any of the other species on this Earth, local and low-tech.” (For more on local, see the superb website and work of Helena Norberg and others, Local Futures.)  

What was barely considered throughout both the industrial and digital revolutions was the natural world. And yet, as has now become all too apparent, nature and all her complexities is a central player in civilization’s evolution. Self-appointed elite, government, business, and puppet media were not, have never been, and will never be, the whole story. They can play secondary roles, but the star of the show is Mother Earth.

An Ever Growing Still Small Voice 

Though the epoch of hierarchy brought about many societal and environmental ills and much violence through unchecked expansionism, colonialism, wars, slavery, racism, factory farming, extremes of wealth and poverty, alienated, stressed and in some cases, emotionally lobotomized people —  it also brought opportunities to expand our consciousness. An ever-so-faint still small voice is calling out from the depths of our collective being-ness: Enough is enough. I’m weary of violence. Saturated with frivolity and empty activities that clutter time. I long for simplicity and true connection with others and with nature. I am done othering my Self, people, animals, the natural world, Earth, and God. I am ready to go Home to simplicity and Inter-Being.

Tale of a Turtle 

About fifteen years ago when I lived in the suburbs of Baltimore, I found a turtle in my driveway. I have no idea how she got there as there was no nearby body of water. But knowing she’d need water sooner than later, I decided to drive her to a pond about five miles away. When I lifted the frightened turtle to place her in a box, she immediately withdrew into her shell. As I was driving, seemingly yet more terrified she came out of her shell and tried desperately to escape by attempting to scale the walls of the box. I spoke gently to her hoping my voice and energy would calm her a bit, but she was inconsolable.

When we arrived at the pond, I got as close to the water as I could as there was much vegetation blocking the path. I gently lay the box on its side and the turtle slowly walked out. She stopped, looked around, head high, curious, and strangely at peace as her gaze settled on the pond ahead. Slowly she began to walk, getting faster and faster with each step until she reached the water and with a glorious sense of arrival, dove into the water and swam away. She was home. 

We too have been away from home…for a very long time. And as a civilization, we too have been out of sorts and have felt threatened and fearful of others and our surroundings. Sometimes, like the turtle, we have retreated into our shell, and other times, we have struggled to no avail. Our actions have reflected a state of imbalance when coupled with our instinctual pursuit of survival. But all is not lost, as we have had the opportunity to glean much along the way. We have consciously learned to appreciate, cherish, and know the gift of inter-being by having experienced the world for so long through the lens of duality and separateness.

Although it may not be obvious from hearing or reading the News, I sense an awakening among more and more people. I would like to believe we’re on our way back home and will once again experience inter-being, but this time, with a conscious sense of profound gratitude. 

The destiny of humanity is to bring all our gifts and powers into the service of life, to create beauty and wonders, and to witness what life creates through us and around us. It starts with healing the damage done in the Age of Separation. Charles Eisenstein

This will be the day when all of God’s children will be able to sing with a new meaning, “My country, ’tis of thee, sweet land of liberty, of thee I sing. Land where my fathers died, land of the pilgrim’s pride, from every mountainside, let freedom ring.”

And if America is to be a great nation this must become true. So let freedom ring from the prodigious hilltops of New Hampshire. Let freedom ring from the mighty mountains of New York. Let freedom ring from the heightening Alleghenies of Pennsylvania!

Let freedom ring from the snowcapped Rockies of Colorado!

Let freedom ring from the curvaceous slopes of California!

But not only that; let freedom ring from Stone Mountain of Georgia!

Let freedom ring from Lookout Mountain of Tennessee!

And when this happens, when we allow freedom to ring, when we let it ring from every village and every hamlet, from every state and every city, we will be able to speed up that day when all of God’s children, black men and white men, Jews and Gentiles, Protestants and Catholics, will be able to join hands and sing in the words of the old Negro spiritual, “Free at last! free at last! thank God Almighty, we are free at last!”

We could also call this article, “Let’s just be grateful that it was only the airlines that had bad code, and not military JEDI Joint Enterprise Defense Infrastructure and “full-spectrum dominance’s nuclear weapons.”

My friend has a golden retriever who borders on insanity at any opportunity to retrieve a buoy from the water. On land, she is disinterested in chasing down thrown items, but the sight of the orange buoy and the leash elicits unrestrained joy.

Yet on occasion, at the lake, she sets her sights on an unoccupied boat buoy. She will attempt the drag the object back to shore, even though it is anchored by ropes to a concrete block on the bottom of the lake.  She will pull and tug to the point of exhaustion. There have been times when her owner has had to enter freezing water to retrieve her instinct-injured retriever.

For spectators on the shoreline, the sight of the frenzied dog can sometimes elicit smiles and laughter, especially because it is clear that the dog will be rescued safely from her delusional efforts.  

But is it possible that the 5G/6G/7G/BazillionG wireless and tech industry is tracking on an endangering trajectory – of unreasoned delusional boundless pursuit, devoid of recognition of reality?

How does society respond when some segment, such as an entire industry, has lost its way? Many late lessons from early warnings demonstrate significant delays in appropriate response, on the order of decades. They also demonstrate that consequences of inaction amplify, and do not diminish.

Why are we not resilient enough to adapt more quickly in response to risks and adverse results (like tobacco, mercury, lead, asbestos) and how do we change this?

How does a sincere, earnest individual respond, in the face of societal imbalance?

Through the Looking Glass

For example, millimeter waves are being employed for “next generation” 5G telecommunications.

The article “DoCoMo Claims It Can Smash the 5G Glass Barrier” notes that “NTT DoCoMo is claiming a solution for one of the big problems that faces millimeter wave (mmWave) 5G — transmitting the high-band signal through treated low-emissivity (low-E) glass. The operator tested a new window material which allows 28GHz signals to pass through, making it suitable for unobtrusive use in the windows of buildings and vehicles, DoCoMo claims.

Millimeter Wave 5G has amazing raw speed, getting downloads of 1-gigabit plus wirelessly, but has terrible coverage range (1,000 feet to 2,000 feet) and can’t penetrate energy-saving low-E glass, as well as grass hedges and concrete walls. This means that early high-band 5G networks don’t work inside buildings, a major failing for the newest high-band cellular standard.

[] “So far, DoCoMo has only tested this technology on a small piece of prototype glass. The much larger issue is the cost of new and replacement glass that would be needed in millions of buildings around the world. It is way too early for DoCoMo to have any figures on how much it might cost to replace all existing windows with its new glass substrate, but it would doubtless be incredibly expensive!”

Why is this industry allowed to pursue a dead-end trajectory of valuing unlimited access to signal strength over trees and foliage, juxtaposed with such concern about ‘climate’ and ‘carbon’?

When ‘Field Testing’ is Far Afield from Reality

Like 5G millimeter waves, smart meter signals that were supposed to be able to converse with in-home appliances were also found to not transmit well through energy efficient glass.

Issues with the smart grid’s lack of safety and security point to questions about the wheels falling off of the ‘sustainability bus’ as it approaches a cliff. The meters not only were themselves “not sustainable” with their planned obsolescence replacement cycle and trashing of in-use meters far before the end of their useful life, but they have driven some individuals from their homes due to adverse health effects.

As demonstrated already this winter again in Maine, the meters do not help to maintain reliability or reduce the length of outages. “Trees, trucks, and training,” accompanied by chain saws, are required. Smart meter fires are another overlooked concern.

Not recognizing the impacts of insulated glass on smart meters transmissions can occur when meters are “field-tested,” literally in a field.

The entire framework for testing wireless devices is based on inanimate simulations, with no real-world monitoring or after-market surveillance.

If smart meter transmissions and E-glass were an issue over a decade ago, why were 5G signals not further scrutinized?

Issues are compounded when the parties involved, from the industry to politics to the ‘clean energy’ community, do not correct course in the face of new information, including adverse effects that appear under real-world conditions.

As Jane Goodall asks, “Here we are, the most clever species ever to have lived. So how is it we can destroy the only planet we have?”

Cassandra, and Not Being Believed

Modern interpretations of mythology imply that “Cassandra was given the gift of prophecy but was also cursed by the god Apollo so that her true prophecies would not be believed. [ ] “The older and most common versions of the myth state that she was admired by the god Apollo, who sought to win her love by means of the gift of seeing the future.” “According to Aeschylus, she promised him her favours, but after receiving the gift, she went back on her word. How does a culture reach the point in its evolution whereby it recognizes appropriate, relevant, accurate warnings?

Several Recent News Stories Point to Concern About Big Tech

1. The FAA Outage

ZDNet reported, “A corrupt database file is to blame for the computer system outage at the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) that temporarily grounded all domestic flights across the US — but it’s still uncertain what caused damage to the database file. The incident caused mass disruption and delays for airlines, airports and passengers. It seems it was related to an issue with the Notice to Air Missions (NOTAM) system, which provides pilots with real-time information about changes and potential hazards on flight routes. The lack of system availability meant that all domestic flights were temporarily grounded for two hours while the system was restored.”

Thank goodness it wasn’t the JEDI system.

2. Case Report: The Microwave Syndrome after Installation of 5G Emphasizes the Need for Protection from Radiofrequency Radiation

Dr. Hardell and Mona Nielsson have presented a study of 2 healthy individuals’ effects after being exposed to a 5G station for only a couple of days. This is a plea for a ban on 5G, and elimination or serious reduction of EMF/RF in our environment.

“To our knowledge, this is the first study of health outcomes in persons exposed to 5G RF radiation. Within a couple of days, a new 5G base station caused severe symptoms in two previously healthy persons that correspond to the microwave syndrome. The deployment of 5G also caused a dramatic increase in maximum (peak) microwave radiation exposure, from 9 000 µW/m2 to >2 500 000µW/m2. The symptoms quickly reversed when the couple moved to a dwelling with much lower exposure.”

“The rapidly emerging symptoms after the 5G deployment were typical for the microwave syndrome with e.g., neurological symptoms, tinnitus, fatigue, insomnia, emotional distress, skin disorders, and blood pressure variability. The symptoms were more pronounced in the woman. Due to the severity of symptoms, the couple left their dwelling and moved to a small office room with maximum (peak) RF radiation 3 500 µW/m2 . Within a couple of days, most of their symptoms alleviated or disappeared completely. This medical history can be regarded as a classic provocation test. The RF radiation levels in the apartment were well below the limit proposed to be “safe” below which no health effects would occur, recommended by the International Commission on Non-Ionizing Radiation (ICNIRP). These now presented symptoms of the microwave syndrome were caused by non-thermal effects from RF radiation and highlight that the ICNIRP guidelines used in most countries including Sweden do not protect human health. Guidelines based on all biological negative effects from RF radiation are urgently needed, as well as monitoring human health, not the least due to rapidly increasing levels of exposure.”

Why do unscientific provocation studies financed by industry continue to form the basis of safety claims, ridicule, policy, and prevailing public opinion? Is it not time for nations to address the ICNIRP cartel?

3. Scientists Find Something Strange in Brain Scans of Kids Hooked on Social Media

MSN reports, “It’s no secret that social media use can change adult brain anatomy, but a new study suggests that it may impact the developing brains of adolescents in profound ways as well. Researchers from the University of North Carolina have found, in one of the first studies of its kind, that habitually checking social feeds may change the ways early adolescents process social rewards and punishments — changes concrete enough that they can be seen as distinct and divergent neural pathways in brain scans.

Published in the Journal of the American Medical Association Pediatrics, the paper found significant changes to the amygdala, the bit of grey matter in the brain associated with memory and emotions, in the brains of the 169 tween study participants from a rural North Carolina middle school.”

Earlier research on adult brains indicated, “Addiction is often initiated by hyperactivity of the system that assesses rewards and drives impulsive behaviors. This includes the NAc, the key substrate where mesolimbic dopamine is released, and reward seeking behavior is elicited, and it also includes the amygdala, which is thought to link environmental cues to reward systems in the striatum, including the NAc. 

Is a society that fails to protect children from addictive exposures is in its ascent or its fall?

4. New Study Sees A Rising Trend in Primary Brain Cancer Incidence in Younger Males in High-income Countries

“The press release from the Chinese University of Hong Kong reports, “Primary brain cancer, though not a common malignancy, has a very poor survival rate compared to other types of cancer; medical researchers are therefore keen to explore novel treatments and increase their knowledge of this rare but lethal disease. The Chinese University of Hong Kong (CUHK)’s Faculty of Medicine (CU Medicine) has conducted a study with the Association of Pacific Rim Universities (APRU) to investigate the global distribution and risk factors of and epidemiological trends in primary brain cancer. The results showed that the incidence of primary brain cancer was higher in high-income jurisdictions and was closely related to the per capita gross domestic product (GDP), the human development index (HDI) and the prevalence of traumatic brain injuries, occupational carcinogen exposure and mobile phone use at the country level.

Global incidences of primary brain cancer have been relatively stable over recent years, but an increase was observed in younger males in high-income countries. Researchers recommended that risk factor control and early cancer detection should be implemented among high-risk populations. Details of the study have been published recently in the international medical journal Neuro-Oncology.

The causes of primary brain cancer remain unknown, with a higher incidence in high-income countries

Primary brain cancer is a malignant tumour that originates from the tissues of the brain. The most common type is glioma, which forms when glial cells grow uncontrollably.”

As noted by the Environmental Health Trust, “Christopher Portier PhD, a longtime U.S. government scientist now retired, recently submitted a comprehensive review of the scientific research in a major cell phone/brain cancer lawsuit where he concludes that “the evidence on an association between cellular phone use and the risk of glioma in adults is quite strong.” “In my opinion, RF exposure probably causes gliomas and neuromas and, given the human, animal and experimental evidence, I assert that, to a reasonable degree of scientific certainty, the probability that RF exposure causes gliomas and neuromas is high,” he wrote. The 176-page expert report with 443 references was prepared for the plaintiffs in a major product liability lawsuit, Murray et al. v Motorola, Inc. et al., filed in the Superior Court for the District of Columbia against the telecommunications industry. Dr. Portier was the Director of the United States National Center for Environmental Health at the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention in Atlanta, and the Director of the Agency for Toxic Substances and Disease Registry. He is one of many US governments scientists and advisors to the World Health Organization highlighting the ever-growing body of scientific evidence showing harm.“

5. The Tesla Car Crash

PC Magazine reports, Video Surfaces of Self-Driving Tesla Abruptly Braking, Causing 8-Car Pileup, The crash injured nine people, including a 2-year-old child, and blocked San Francisco Bay Bridge traffic for an hour, though it’s unclear if Tesla’s full self-driving mode is to blame for the pileup.

“Footage from a Thanksgiving Day crash involving a Tesla Model S has been obtained by The Intercept, and it shows the vehicle crossing into the far left lane at high speed, blinker on, before abruptly coming to a stop, causing an 8-car pileup. The incident happened on the San Francisco Bay Bridge on Nov. 24; The Intercept secured the video through a California Public Records Act request.”

“[]Teslas have extensive software systems that dictate the vehicle’s functions, and “phantom braking,” or the vehicle slamming on the brakes in the face of system-perceived hazards, is a known issue. In February 2022, the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) said it had received 107 complaints of phantom braking in the previous three months from Tesla owners, compared with only 34 in the preceding 22 months, The Washington Post reported.

Blame is diverted to oil and gas companies for criticism of clean energy, while issues including health and safety, child labor, mining, and disposal in exploited nations are overlooked. Is the green energy strategy of “deny, defend, attack” instead of investigation and course correction delusional or sustainable?

6. UK Space Launch: Historic Cornwall Rocket Launch Ends in Failure

As reported by the BBC, The first ever satellite mission launched from UK soil has ended in failure.

“A jumbo jet operated by the American Virgin Orbit company carried a rocket out of Newquay, Cornwall, to release it high over the Atlantic Ocean. The rocket ignited and appeared to be ascending correctly. But word then came from the company that the rocket had suffered an “anomaly”. The satellites it was carrying could not be released and were lost.” “

Deputy CEO of the UK Space Agency, Ian Annett, said it showed “how difficult” getting into orbit actually was – but predicted further launches within the next 12 months. “We get up, we go back, we try again, that’s what defines us,” he told BBC Radio 4’s Today programme.

“Mr. Archer could not confirm whether the rocket had fallen back to Earth but said that if it did, it would have come down over unpopulated areas.”

Let’s be clear. Resources being devoted to the ‘race for space’ are being prioritized over basic human rights, including clean air, food, and water, (all of which suffer when the atmosphere is polluted by rocket fuel.)

Returning to Reason?

The dog with the anchored buoy does not have the capacity to perceive the need to adjust course. She is relentless, and unaware of the futility of her efforts. She does not comprehend the nature of reality.  

This is a different animal than willful blindness and neglect.

When a portion of humanity has lost its way and is no longer operating from a place of holistic vision, reverence, balance, and insight, tools and strategies are needed to restore the grace that is our birthright.

In a 1998 article “WAKING TO THE RHYTHM OF A NEW MYTH, Mythic Perspectives for a World in Distress. David Feinstein, Ann Mortifee and Stanley Krippner wrote,

“It was probably inevitable that we would initially misuse the promethean powers of
technology. [ ] Without a global perspective, we are like children with machine guns, having no understanding that the technology we are using is a mortal threat to everything that supports us.”

“Unless we can begin to discern what is life-affirming and what is life-denying in what the
media feeds us, we are in danger of being psychically annihilated by one of our most auspicious tools. If we are, on a global scale, to avoid the fate of the Easter Islanders, we are called upon — individually and collectively — to radically transform the myths that are leading us, with increasing certainty, toward our demise.”

Lack of discernment has been bought and paid for by the telecommunications industry.

In the face of evidence of harm to health and the environment, decision makers who believe that 5G/wireless caution is unnecessary, (for example, the Los Angeles County Board of Supervisors, who passed ordinances allowing for the fast-tracked proliferation of wireless infrastructure) could be likened to the delusional dog with the anchored buoy.

But in truth, technocracy is more like the child with the machine gun, and as the Cassandras and the canaries have been telling us, along with scientists and independent researchers, this is a very dangerous combination.

Get off the runaway “wireless is safe and tech will save us” train.

“Imagine waking up one morning to a cell tower being installed in your front yard. You were not notified and are not allowed to appeal the decision. There is nothing you can do.  [] On Jan. 10, the Los Angeles County Board of Supervisors (Board) will vote on changes to Titles 16 and 22 of the L.A. County Code. If the proposed changes pass, wireless facilities will be installed without any prior notice, public hearing or opportunity to appeal — without fire or safety scrutiny and without regard to critical environmental protections. We have seen time and time again that policies adopted in California quickly spread to other states. The Board’s decision may have ramifications for people across the United States.

 If adopted in L.A., similar changes will likely pass throughout California and the rest of the United States, coming to a city near you! Telecom giants will get a free pass to further fast-track the installation of cell towers and small cells in your yards and next to your children’s schools. Due process rights will be stripped away.”  – Children’s Health Defense

Democrats note, this is not a Republican-led campaign and/or proposed abuse of power, human rights, or the environment.

Blaming the Other Political Party?

On March 20, 1854 in Ripon, Wisconsin, 50 men, three women and one child gathered in the Little White Schoolhouse to protest the extension of slavery into the Kansas and Nebraska Territories. They voted to create a new political party.

It would be easy to assume that the new party opposed to slavery was the Democrats.

But the assumption is dead wrong; the date marks the founding of the Republican Party.

If anyone thinks that Republican politicians are the only ones trashing the planet and human health in favor of military and industry $$$$$, you would be dead wrong. Both parties have fallen off of their ethical and moral foundations.  

Terms That Induce the Inability to Reason?

There is a great Monty Python comedy where Jamie Lee Curtiss loses all sense of control because she can’t resist an Italian accent.

Sort of like a Democrat and the words “Jobs Creation” or “Sustainability” or “Data” or “Energy Efficiency” or “Smart City” or “Climate” or “Clean Energy,” – used to overrun human and community rights, and the Rights of Nature.

The Republican Party also has its fair share of terminology that appears to incite a brain-dead state devoid of reason, and some of the words are the same as the Democrats, like “Russia”! And “China”!

And “Reauthorization of Emergency Powers!”

Both Parties Upside Down?

The public is beginning to recognize that in many alarming ways, the parties are the same. The delusion that choosing one party over the other ‘matters’ regarding truth is in its’ death throes.  Perhaps nowhere is this clearer than in regard to wireless politics.

The assumption that the Democrats are the ones safeguarding human health, human rights, economic justice, and the environment is, unfortunately, dead wrong. Both parties are justifying exploitation; they just do it differently.  The Democrats are simply pretending, and/or deluding themselves. They love to portray themselves as the good guys, knights in shining armor, while overrunning democratic ideals.

Regardless of recent political regime changes, the wireless paradigm and its destructive impact on health and environment is careening out of control.

Politicians are drunk on wireless contributions, the military is drunk on wireless, we are drunk on wireless, the public is being indoctrinated about wireless through industry channels including advertising, the regulator is captured by the industry it is supposed to control, and the science pipeline is corrupted.

The assumption that humans from either party can continue to pummel the nature environment and themselves with layer upon layer of manmade artificial frequencies is also dead wrong, mirroring the recognitions outlined in Rachel Carson’s “Silent Spring” about chemicals, and the history of asbestos.  Industry and finance were drunk on both of those, too, for decades.

From Asbestos to Wireless

We are living the century of a military-industrial paradigm not unlike the story of asbestos, for those willing to recognize the storyline.

A timeline of Asbestos history was compiled by Mesotheliomahelp.org,

1858 Birth of Asbestos in U.S. Industry Johns Company began mining fibrous anthophyllite in 1858 for use as asbestos insulation at the Ward’s Hill quarry, Staten Island, New York. The Industrial Revolution saw a marked increase in asbestos production and use in North America, with the first commercial asbestos mine opening in 1874 in Quebec.

1918 U.S. Government Recognizes Asbestos Risk The U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics releases a report that reveals abnormally high risk of early death among asbestos workers.

1930 Discovery of Asbestosis Dr. E.R.A. Merewether publishes first clinical examination of hundreds of workers in the asbestos industry. He found that one out of four workers was suffering from asbestosis. Dr. Merewether further concluded: That asbestosis was a disease of latency, i.e. that workers exposed to asbestos wouldn’t show signs of injury for many years; That asbestos dust had to be controlled through ventilation and the use of respirators. That workers exposed to asbestos should be informed and warned in order to assure a “sane appreciation of the risk.”That the finished products created dust that should be controlled and minimized.Dr. Merewether’s medical description of asbestos disease mirrors exactly the description of the disease today. His recommendations, if fully implemented by the asbestos industry, would have saved tens of thousands of lives and injuries to American workers.

1930s Industry Regulations on UK Asbestos Factories Dr. Merewether and his research partner, Dr. C.W. Price, published a report demonstrating that asbestosis was occurring in workers with as little as nine months of exposure. Thanks to their discoveries, industry regulations were placed on British asbestos factories to protect workers who were exposed to the material. However, the regulations did not apply to workers in other industries who installed or handled asbestos as part of their job.

1933 Asbestosis First Reported in America The first report of asbestosis in an American insulation worker came in 1933, though it is speculated that the disease had simply been misdiagnosed as tuberculosis or other pulmonary diseases before then. The Metropolitan Life Insurance Co. found asbestosis in 29 percent of workers in a Johns-Manville asbestos factory, leading to settlements in lawsuits filed by 11 sick employees.

 1934 Link Between Workplace Asbestos Exposure and Cancer Discovered Researchers report cases of asbestosis and lung cancer in an asbestos factory.

 1942 Warnings of Cancer Risk From Asbestos Exposure Researchers report that lung cancer in building trades workers is likely caused by asbestos. In 1949, Dr. Heuper warns that asbestos was a cancer risk to the general population. By this time there were over 200 references in the widely available literature regarding asbestos and disease.  1943 First Mesothelioma-Like Tumor Reported The first case of a mesothelioma-like tumor is reported by Dr. Welder in a German study.  1947 More Links Between Asbestosis and Lung Cancer Established Dr. Merewether finds that 13% of asbestosis cases also had cancer of the lungs or pleura.

 1949 Mainstream Acceptance of Harm Caused by Asbestos Encyclopedia Britannica lists asbestos as a recognized cause of occupational and environmental cancer. The Journal of the American Medical Association concludes that asbestos is probably linked to occupational cancer.” Mesotheliomahelp.org

Yet, a guide to Asbestos in Schools notes, “About half of all schools in the U.S. were built between 1950 and 1969 —a time when asbestos was added to virtually every kind of building material to increase durability and fire resistance.

At that time, the general public wasn’t aware of the health dangers of asbestos exposure. Products containing asbestos do not pose a threat if left intact and undisturbed. But most of these materials are now deteriorating and can be easily damaged during negligent maintenance work or improper abatement procedures.”

“When asbestos products are damaged or wear down over time, they put students, teachers and other school employees at risk of asbestos exposure. Inhaling or ingesting microscopic asbestos fibers can lead to serious health conditions, such as asbestosis, lung cancer and mesothelioma, decades after exposure. Asbestos is the primary cause of mesothelioma. The U.S. Environmental Protection Agency estimates that there are asbestos-containing materials in most of the nation’s primary, secondary and charter schools.“

Even though asbestos was recognized as harmful in 1918, it was used in schools from about 1959 to 1970?

With asbestos, accurate observations of risk came from health experts and their patients. With wireless, we are not currently collecting statistics of harm caused by radiofrequency exposures, because we prefer to be in denial that damage is occurring, and to characterize symptoms as a psychological condition. Like asbestosis, microwave illnesses are being misdiagnosed. The doctor carrying a pack of cigarettes in his pocket has been replaced by the doctor carrying a cell phone and spending more time looking at the wireless device than the patient.

The lag time between early evidence of harm and corrective action can be longer than a human lifetime, indicating that delay by one generation can cause enduring damage to future generations. In the same manner that thousands of injuries and deaths could have been prevented if Dr. Merewether’s recommendations about asbestos had been adopted, not applying precaution to wireless harm is creating future avoidable carnage, waste, and economic and environmental burdens for future generations.

The FCC

The FCC is off the rails, even though in 2021, a Federal Court ordered the FCC to explain why the agency ignored scientific evidence showing harm from wireless radiation. It started back in 1996.

The FCC is still running roughshod over the country, with the paid-off political elite failing to require the FCC to respond to the court ruling. Neither party wants to address the economic consequences, or the loss of surveillance, control, and military prowess. And both parties, but especially the Democrats, are culpable. Republicans raised the privacy issue early on.

The wireless industry, which created the digital divide, plays both sides of the political divide. While the Trump administration played the War/Beat China in the Race to 5G card, the Biden administration is portraying their brand of abuse as equal access to remote health consultations and equal access to energy savings from smart meters, which is the moral equivalent of equal access to asbestos.

The Democrats have conflated the benefits of connectivity with the benefits of wireless, and are attempting to pass off costly, ineffective, discriminatory grid interventions as energy savings and sustainability, and supposed ‘clean’ energy initiatives as responsible stewardship of planetary resources, while outsourcing harm to other nations.

There is hope. Either party can bring integrity into the mix. Bruce Kushnick, writing for Medium, asks, “How much money does it take to block a proposed FCC Commissioner from getting appointed?”

There are two kinds of public servants. One is the public servant who recognizes responsibility for the protection of the next seven generations. The other kind has been bought multiple times for over seven decimal points $,$$$,$$$.00, from either party.

The public is coming to realize that any politician bought and paid for by industry is a danger, as they witness grave derelictions of duty.

Perhaps neither party wants an FCC majority, because each party wants to keep kicking the can down the road.

Sheffield, Massachusetts is one community attempting to stand up to the wireless industry, intending to declare a moratorium on 5G.  Like smart meter battles in Worcester, MA and elsewhere, both Democrats and Republicans have plenty of reasons to oppose the wireless industry’s overrun of common sense, compassion, and the ability to reason and to learn from the experiences of the past, including tobacco and asbestos.

Bipartisan support from independent thinkers who are not willing to be divided by party lines by an industry that seeks to control the entire narrative in its favor can change the course of history.

As “Scientists Find Something Strange in Brain Scans of Kids Hooked on Social Media”, like asbestos, – antennas and towers don’t belong near homes or on school properties. Greed has altered the shape of our hearts and minds. Wireless has gained remote control of the amygdala. We cannot recover individual self-sovereignty until we protect the brain itself from assault, restore the right to restful sleep, and halt the industry dismissal of individuals being unnaturally induced by damaging artificial frequencies.

Let’s not wait a century to reign in wireless? Question these party platforms.

Koohan Paik-Mander‘s “Whales Will Save the World’s Climate—Unless the Military Destroys Them First,” BuzzFlash (via the Independent Media Institute’s Local Peace Economy project), December 13, 2021″ is number 13 on this year’s Project Censored’s List.

“Joint military and industry efforts to develop new ocean technologies and infrastructure—which engineers and advocates call the “smart ocean”—will have lethal consequences for whales, significantly undermining their “indispensable role” in sequestering carbon and mitigating climate catastrophe, Koohan Paik-Mander reported in December 2021” [ ]

Whales “enable oceans to sequester a whopping 2 billion tons of carbon dioxide per year,” Paik-Mander wrote. But “year-round, full-spectrum military practices” undertaken by the US Department of Defense have “fast-tracked us toward a cataclysmic environmental tipping point.” [ ]

The “smart ocean” envisioned by engineers and in the process of being weaponized by the US military depends on sonar, which can be lethal for whales. A March 2022 report in Science found that sonar triggers “the same fear response” in many whale species as calls emitted by killer whales, “their most terrifying predators.”  In attempts to escape the perceived threat, many whales stop feeding, flee for their lives, or strand themselves in groups on beaches. [ ]

The developing “Internet of Underwater Things” will dramatically expand the scope of sonar use. Until now, sonar has been used primarily for military purposes, but data networks using sonar and laser transmitters will “saturate the ocean with sonar waves” to enhance civilian and military communications, according to Paik-Mander. The Department of Defense’s Joint All Domain Command and Control system will interface with this sonar data network to connect aircraft, ships, and submarines in service of “satellite-controlled war,” Paik-Mander wrote. The Pentagon has already sought bids from companies including Microsoft, Amazon, Oracle, and Google to manage the program’s data storage cloud”.” – Koohan Paik-Mander,

Billionaire Monopoly

Social media is now in the news regarding Elon Musk’s takeover of Twitter.

Given the power of the FAANG cartel [Facebook (Meta), Apple, Amazon, Netflix, and Google (Alphabet)], it’s no wonder that the Tesla exec wants to control his own uncensored soapbox.

He is well connected to dual use technology applications through Neuralink and through his contracts with the military. “SpaceX goes full defense contractor with national security-focused Starshield”

Although the justification for Neuralink is that it will assist disabled individuals, for the militarized mindset, technology capable of altering brain function has tremendous appeal, as noted on #13 by Project Censored: #18 The Human Mind as “New Domain of War”: NATO Plans for Cognitive Warfare.

“The objectives of cognitive warfare are “to make everyone a weapon” and “to harm societies,” rather than simply targeting an enemy’s armed forces. Yet Neuralink is apparently under investigation for animal welfare issues., including deaths of experimental animals.

Regarding the militarization of space, according to Tech Crunch, “SpaceX’s launch services have already become an invaluable resource for the U.S. government, but the company is now jumping into the deep end of the pool it had heretofore only splashed around in. Starshield, a new vertical within SpaceX, will provide “government entities” (think three-letter agencies) with secure communications and bespoke satellite designs. “this move helps separate government work from consumer work.” “grafting a military/aid operation onto a consumer product has led to unforeseen consequences.”

Humanity’s Response: Consciousness and Community

One of the unforeseen consequences of Musk’s and other’s mixing company with the military and wrecking the planet is the reality that a growing portion of the population does not support war, or exploitative dual-use technologies. This includes products promoted under the guise of educational, social, safety, communications, and environmental “sustainability” uses, when they are actually being implemented for surveillance, dominance, and control objectives.

Many platforms have been launched in response to the insidious censorship created by tech giants working in tandem with economic power brokers, who are now one and the same.

New communities are thriving, independent of caged narratives, some live, some virtual.

The World Council for Health is one example of a progressive, inclusive, evolutionary community discussing censored topics.

Communities are cultivating skillsets that focus not only on desired results and outcomes, but also evaluating “how to get there.”

Tools including meditation, EFT (Emotional Freedom Technique) and methods for improving conscious communication and problem solving are being incorporated into collaborative efforts.

Countless groups have begun to recognize that “tech won’t save us” and are envisioning how to create the future that we want, instead of simply opposing what is not wanted. From Zack Bush and the Farmers’ Footprint, regenerative agriculture, organic consumers and slow food, to health care, energy policy, and education“ a shift in consciousness is reflecting the need to create goodness, truth, and beauty, here and now.

Independent researchers, healers, and laypersons have been engaged in earnest, sincere efforts to educate the public about how artificial frequencies are causing symptoms, adverse health effects, illness, pain and suffering, and disability in a portion of the population.

For example, the WEEP Initiative, “The Canadian Initiative to Stop Wireless, Electric, and Electromagnetic Pollution” has been disseminating information about wireless risks since 2008.  Their guide, “What Is Electrohypersensitivity” (adapted from material written by Beau Binder and Anna Jonsson) includes a list of common symptoms and a description of the stages of the health condition called ‘EHS’ or ‘microwave sickness.’

“Common Symptoms

• Concentration problems
• Memory lapses
• Aches or pressure in head, throat and chest
• Unsteady balance, dizziness
• Altered heart rate
• Ringing in the ears
• Excessive fatigue
• Numbness or pain in affected areas
• Sleep disturbances
• Eye irritation
• Red skin blotches, eczema

Four Stages of Electrohypersensitivity

1. Mild combinations of some of the common symptoms – typically headaches, concentration & memory problems – while working with electronic equipment.
2. Longer lasting symptoms after working with electronic equipment. Similar reactions in the vicinity of transmission towers and relay antennae. Symptoms often require medical care.
3. Inability to work full-time; frequent sick leaves taken to cope with symptoms.
4. Acute adverse reactions from electromagnetic pollution, both in outdoor and indoor environments. Results in unemployment and severe curtailment of freedom. Requires expensive reengineering of home environment or relocation to spartan, EMF/EMR-free rural or wilderness areas.” – WEEP

The Canadian group has also developed a resource for “Talking to Your Doctor,” as many health care providers do not yet recognize the condition.

Other organizations, worldwide, have also developed lists and graphics that summarize health complaints associated with both radiofrequency exposures and polluted power quality.

West Meets East: Training Acupuncturists to Identify and Treat Electromagnetic Hypersensitivity

An important bridge between Western and Eastern perspectives on ‘EHS’ and other environmental health challenges is emerging as practitioners of so-called “Alternative Medicine” are sharing insights, experience, and knowledge.

In May of 2002, “TCM Treatments for EMF Sensitivity | Acupuncture CEU Course” was taught by Wisconsin acupuncturist and functional medicine practitioner Michelle Meramour, Dipl.Ac..

Genetic Predispositions

In the introductory talk, Michelle Meramour begins by explaining that there are measurable genetic predispositions towards electrical sensitivity, 

She provides acupuncturists with background on Western RF research, including Martin Pall’s work on voltage gated calcium channels, before introducing a model of EMF injury and illness progression based in Chinese Medicine.

At about 45 minutes into the video, she describes the progression of six stages of EHS from the Chinese Medicine perspective, as disharmony moves through six meridian pairs. (Meridians are the invisible electromagnetic pathways that act like fiber optic networks carrying light energy throughout the body.)

Exterior Pathogenic “Heat” Becomes Internal Wind

According to the evocative imagery of Traditional Chinese Medicine, “Unseen pathogens that enter the body are thought to travel on the Wind.”

Michelle Meramour’s modernized model considers RF as exterior pathogenic ‘heat.’

But the use of term ‘heat’ does not refer to measuring the temperature of inanimate engineering models. This practice forms the backbone of industry and regulator claims about the ‘safety’ of tech devices and infrastructure.

Prevailing regulation of wireless exposures (derived from military radar and economic priorities) only protects against acute short-term exposures, and heating and burns, Yet Alzheimer’s, dementia and other neurological conditions are not caused by “a ‘temperature,’”

Traditional Chinese Medicine addresses pathogenic properties, including inflammation, and is not restricted to measurable thermal injury and/or increased core body temperature.

As an example, one observed manifestation of damage caused by RF exposure in some individuals is high blood pressure, which, again, does not feature increased body temperature. When high blood pressure is associated with RF, it is perceived in Michele’s model as an external force that then manifests as increased internal Wind.

 “…The people who have the most severe EMF sensitivities are often having neurological issues, and that’s Wind. That’s when Wind becomes internal Wind. That’s when the body’s damaged so much and the blood is damaged so much that then they have internally generated wind. It starts exterior, and if it goes for too long deep enough in the body it ends up acting like an internal Wind.”

The First of Six Stages: Small Intestine and Urinary Bladder

(In Chinese medicine, although the meridians have the same names as organs in the West, the labels refer to both the invisible lines of energy as well as an entire resonant field that corresponds with an organ system’s frequency. Names of meridians are customarily capitalized.)

Michele created a body feedback system rooted in TCM acupuncture that uses Six Level Theory to diagnose and treat EHS.

From Michele’s feedback system, in the first stage, EMF infiltrates the body via two meridian pathways: Small Intestine, and Urinary Bladder.  

In Traditional Chinese Medicine, the Small Intestine is associated with the entire enteric nervous system, ie the ‘gut’.

(Scholarpedia describes the Enteric Nervous System: “The enteric nervous system (ENS) is the intrinsic nervous system of the gastrointestinal tract. It contains complete reflex circuits that detect the physiological condition of the gastrointestinal tract, integrate information about the state of the gastrointestinal tract, and provide outputs to control gut movement, fluid exchange between the gut and its lumen, and local blood flow (Gershon 2005; Furness 2006). It is the only part of the peripheral nervous system that contains extensive neural circuits that are capable of local, autonomous function. The ENS has extensive, two-way, connections with the central nervous system (CNS), and works in concert with the CNS to control the digestive system in the context of local and whole body physiological demands. Because of its extent and its degree of autonomy, the ENS has been referred to as a second brain.”)

In TCM, the Urinary Bladder is associated with the functioning of the autonomic nervous system.

(Scholarpedia describes the Autonomic Nervous System: “The term autonomic nervous system (ANS) refers to collections of motor neurons (ganglia) situated in the head, neck, thorax, abdomen, and pelvis, and to the axonal connections of these neurons [ ] Autonomic pathways, together with somatic motor pathways to skeletal muscle and neuroendocrine pathways, are the means whereby the central nervous system (CNS) sends commands to the rest of the body.”)

Symptoms from TCM Perspective = Imbalance

Michelle Meramour explains “In the Body-Feedback system, the tai yang meridians (Small intestine and Urinary Bladder) correspond with the hypothalamus, which determines how information is processed through the autonomic nervous system. The hypothalamus then creates hormones via the pituitary gland and endocrine system connection. Symptoms of EMFs affecting tai yang include poor quality sleep, general hypersensitivity, ANS dysfunction, weak immune function, and moodiness.”

As she addresses the other five levels of disharmony associated with the five additional meridian pairs, she discusses histamines, allergies, MAST cell activation, chronic inflammation, and manifestations of deeper levels of imbalance that are very familiar to the EHS patient and practitioner population, including cardiac conditions.

The East: Harmonizing the Internal Field with the External Field

Individuals navigating the challenge of a mainstream medical model, industry, regulatory environment, and mass culture that discounts EHS health complaints may experience tremendous comfort and support by being introduced to a modern application of an extensive cosmological model that has stood the test of time.

A goal of Chinese Medicine is to harmonize the internal energies with the changing patterns of the external Cosmic Current, making TCM a relevant framework for understanding disharmony resulting from EMF/RF pollution on the subtle energy body.

TCM is modified by the time that treatment is provided. because time is recognized as an energetic, synchronizing frequency, and not simply a commodity or a tool to coordinate the masses.

For the TCM perspective, imbalance is apparent long before causal proof of association with a specific disease, which is a criterion that continues to dominate in the West (for example, regulating tobacco re: lung cancer, and the question of cell phone use and brain tumors, while ignoring other symptoms and evidence of harm, including proximal infrastructure).

Because of the misguided focus on disease rather than dis-ease, products like lead remain in common use, causing harm decades after evidence of health and environmental damage is apparent, as noted in numerous cases of “Late Lessons from Early Warnings” quantified by the European Environment Agency,” which promotes the Precautionary Principle.

Treatment is Individualized: Constitutional Medicine

As Michele explains, feedback from the individual’s body informs the treatment approach, because Chinese Medicine recognizes that healing is an individualized journey.

Although not discussed in the video, Chinese Medicine (as well as India’s Ayurvedic sciences) recognize that individuals vary by constitutional type,

For example, recognition of varying capacities for detoxification tied to Liver function is beginning to receive mainstream attention, based on models of preventing disease, and genetic testing.

But recognition of the Spleen’s role in distributing chi throughout the entire organism, based on an understanding of individual constitution playing out against the changing backdrop of the Cosmic Current, has not reached critical mass. (Donna Eden is one of the foremost teachers of energy medicine, including the Spleen- Triple Warmer dynamic and its role in managing stress. Her daughter Dondi Dahlin has authored her own book on constitution via Five-Element theory,)

From a Chinese Medicine perspective, the Spleen constitution may be one of the most vulnerable to EMF/RF injury. The mainstream mass medical model does not recognize that certain constitutional types are prone to different types of health challenges., including an increased sensitivity to EMF/RF and dirty electricity, or that certain conditions can be exacerbated by exposures, for example, M.S.

This knowledge has not yet been translated into accessible, informed, individualized lifestyle choices or policy decisions.

Chinese medicine’s insights offer an extraordinarily accessible and applicable template that could quickly progress society’s understanding of ecology and health.

The Evolutionary Role of Sensitivity

Trauma expert Peter Levine wrote, “In a herd of deer, we need some super-sensitive ones. They are the ones that will hear that teeniest little crack or smell the one or two molecules of scent from the mountain lion that’s stalking them. Their job is to use their hyper-sensitivity to alert the whole group.”

Peter Levine’s perspective on sensitivity’s evolutionary protective function has not gained a foothold, due to an enduring focus on economic growth at the expense of health and the environment. 

Destroying The Web of Life; Wireless as Technocratic Pollutant

Access to the remarkable knowledge shared in the acupuncture training video is a reminder of the benefits of the internet and ‘world wide web’ for sharing wisdom from many sources around the world.

But dominance and ridicule interfere with the evolution of science and understanding, for example, via Wikipedia: “Acupuncture is a pseudoscience the theories and practices of TCM are not based on scientific knowledge, and it has been characterized as quackery.”

The West does not understand the exquisite synchronizing force of the cosmos. Lack of literacy is amplified by enduring trauma of the witch trials and fueled by increasing fear of ‘climate’ narratives that justify even more technology overreach. Humanity has been insidiously led to embrace the belief that data and ‘connectivity’ (doubling as surveillance and control) must be faster and more ubiquitous and provided by wireless applications.

The consumer-based economic growth model remains dissociated from the laws of nature and health that were quantified thousands of years ago, in reverential societies grounded in principles of balance and harmony.

Proof of Disease or Proof of Dis-regulation?

Sleep disruption caused by electrosmog is just one indication of interference with synchronicity with the Cosmic Current; digestive challenges are another, and both impair immune function. Chronobiology has only been recently discovered in the West. With the insights of TCM, society can reject industry’s demand for proof of disease onset, and instead heed immediate evidence of dis-regulation and assault on the internal sovereignty of individuals,

Outdated Beliefs, and The Skin as Intelligent Information Highway

The industry narratives that non-ionizing is not harmful because it is not ionizing, and that adverse health effects can only be caused by thermal injury, are inaccurate.

In 2009, researcher Dr Morry Silberstein of Curtin University discovered that, ” the insertion of an acupuncture needle into the skin disrupts the branching point of nerves called C fibres, which transmit low-grade sensory information over very long distances by using Merkel cells as intermediaries. “We have known for some time that acupuncture points have a much lower electrical resistance than nearby areas of skin,” Dr Silberstein said.”

In addition, researchers at Hebrew University in Jerusalem, including Yael Stein, researched “5G” millimeter wave technology (Sub Terahertz frequencies) interaction with the human body. They discovered that human sweat glands act as helical antennas.

This indicates that inanimate engineering models designed to justify the safety of 5G that treat the skin as homogeneous are incorrect, for example, inanimate tissue modeling that claims that 5G “vanishes” before it reaches “the brain layer.”

Chinese medicine implies that research should be conducted to determine how artificial frequencies impact the ”points” in the skin that act as receivers and serve as the distribution network for chi that impacts internal function, regardless of temperature.

Accessing the wisdom of Chinese Medicine offers humanity a remarkable opportunity to move into deeper literacy regarding balance and health, and to make newly informed decisions about the role of unconscious conveniences, outdated beliefs, and the reign of technocracy.

It also offers the promise of addressing dismissal, ridicule, fear and/or dominance towards indigenous, Eastern, Chinese and Russian intellectual contributions.

Unacknowledged fear and arrogance is blocking global human healing potentials and enabling untold health and environmental harm.

Recognition of disharmony, entitlement, and lack of reverence is mounting.

The marker must be moved away from evidence of a causal link to disease onset and inanimate engineering models supporting theoretical thermal thresholds, and towards safer technologies. We already have the map – no GPS navigation via satellite is needed.

Psychology Today recently published, ’ Tin Foil Hats: Tired Trope or Sign of the Times? From clothing to electronic devices, modern-day tin foil hats are big business,’ by Joe Pierre M.D.

B.N. Frank of the independent, alternative news source Activist Post responded with “Mental Health Magazine Mocks Federally Recognized Disability and “Havana Syndrome” Victims Receiving Gov’t Compensation.”

Media Literacy

The two contrasting articles offer the perfect opportunity for the public to pony up in the areas of human rights, critical media literacy, and democracy that have been at the forefront of the work of “Project Censored” since 1976.

“Project Censored educates students and the public about the importance of a truly free press for democratic self-government. We expose and oppose news censorship and we promote independent investigative journalism, media literacy, and critical thinking. Through our website, weekly radio program, annual book, and other programs, we provide this service to the United States, Canada, UK, and the world.” (Mickey Huff is the third director of the effort.)

Being an Adult

In discussing another environmental issue requiring critical analysis, Learn Your Land’s Adam Haritan noted the need for open-minded inquiry. “What is true is that this is a complex and nuanced issue that requires some thinking, it requires some digging, some acceptance, and some letting go of previously held beliefs. and this is what being an adult is all about, not jumping to conclusions, not being triggered, not taking media headlines at face value, but being willing to look into all sides of the story, and ultimately being willing to have our minds changed.”

Mental Health and the Dedication to Reality

The late author M. Scott Peck defined mental health as “the on-going process of dedication to reality at all costs.”   In his 1983 best-seller, “The People of the Lie, the Hope for Healing Human Evil,” M. Scott Peck specifically addressed the topic of human evil.  He noted, “Lying is both a cause and a manifestation of evil.”

Beyond Censorship, Recognizing Mass Media’s Manipulation of Attitudes

Humans are endowed with a sensory system that warns of danger, including the danger that is represented by lying or manipulation.

That sensory system activates a sense of discomfort.

The mass culture is being manipulated to address its discomfort by attacking the canaries, whistleblowers, and activists who are identifying areas where society is out of alignment with reality, instead of doing the deep, critical analysis to confront the lies.

The discomfort is a warning. We must develop a skillset for understanding the evolutionary role of the discomfort.

Instead, the industry-controlled mass media is activating and directing the discomfort. The Psychology Today article is but one representation of a deliberate, concerted, insidious effort to scramble the critical thinking skills of readers.

We are at the junction that former president Dwight D. Eisenhower warned about:

“The potential for the disastrous rise of misplaced power exists and will persist.”

Decoding Perpetrator, Victim, Accuser, Abuser, Rescuer

One approach utilized in the Psychology Today article is to promote the qualities of the perpetrator, victim, accuser, abuser, and rescuer in an attempt to misguide the conclusions of the reader.

1. The article points to industries that manufacture products sold to protect against EMFs as the perpetrator:

“Whether stylish clothing items or electronic devices, these products are effectively pricey, modern-day tin foil hats designed to appeal to or exploit a consumer base besieged by so-called “modern health worries”

The implication is that the author and the psychology profession are protective, by acting as an accuser and rescuer.

2. But while portraying the EMF protection product industry as a perpetrator, the writer is also insidiously portraying the EMF activist community as lacking the discernment to recognize a predatory industry, i.e. engaged activists are intellectually inferior to the psychologist.  

Concerned citizens, including those experiencing and reporting harm caused by an inadequately regulated industry, are ‘mistrustful, gullible, or paranoid‘ – all forms of mental deficiency.  

This includes the line near the end of the article:  “buying into the modern-day tin foil hat market is less likely to help and more likely to ramp up one’s irrational fears while feeding a growing consumer market in the process.”

3. The article features stories about individuals who have received a diagnosis of schizophrenia and methamphetamine-induced psychosis, without differentiating that there are individuals with EMF environmentally induced conditions who are not receiving care for similar (extreme) conditions. The article insidiously establishes a connection in the mind of the reader between the two populations.

4. The author goes on to establish a link between concern regarding RF exposure and conspiracy theory.

“Whether stylish clothing items or electronic devices, these products are effectively pricey, modern-day tin foil hats designed to appeal to or exploit a consumer base besieged by so-called “modern health worries” about the likes of new technology, government surveillance, and gang-stalking that includes those who are merely mistrustful and vulnerable to misinformation as well as those who embrace conspiracy theories and are truly paranoid.”

Where did the term “Conspiracy Theory” originate?

According to Sally Painter writing for TopSecretWriters.com,

‘The term conspiracy theory brings to mind all kinds of connotations that range from outlandish to crazy. These associations with the phrase were intentional and exactly what the CIA (Central Intelligence Agency) intended. According to Zero Hedge, the term Conspiracy Theory was created by the CIA in 1967 as a way to discredit anyone who dared to challenge their official version of the truth.’

The UK’s David Grimes was more direct than Psychology Today’s Joe Pierre in an interview with Vice when he stated, “Many activists have the lowest level of knowledge about the thing on which they opine. You can convince yourself you believe something if it makes you feel good about yourself. One of the motivators of people spreading these conspiracy theories is the idea of them having special knowledge. This is illusionary superiority or illusionary knowledge, and it’s very alluring to certain people. Narcissism is a factor behind this.”

Seventeen (Mostly) Men

Seventeen individuals continue to misrepresent the safety of non-ionizing radiation, and Psychology Today reinforced the misleading strategy of implying that radiation that is not ionizing is therefore not harmful.

“…there are legitimate health concerns associated with exposure to electromagnetic fields (EMF), with the most evidence-based health risks coming from ionizing radiation in the form of UV light, X-rays, and Gamma rays, which are known to cause cancer. The effects of non-ionizing radiation emitted from power lines and household appliances like microwaves, computers, and cellphones are much less clear, however,” is followed only by references that deny harm.

Predators

Goal-oriented predators target vulnerable populations, and deliberately move individuals through a series of boundary violations in order to reduce resistance, while progressing towards higher and higher levels of premeditated abusive behaviors.

Moving the general population into a position of “group think” that scapegoats and ridicules a portion of the population is being practiced as a lucrative profession.

When the public continues to dismiss those recognizing these progressive boundary violations as ‘conspiracy theorists,’ society continues its fall from grace.

That a psychology magazine would publish an article that incorporates the psychological manipulation of the public is ‘a sign of the times.”

Instead of “tin foil hats,” in an earlier age, any derogatory name that de-humanizes a subset of the population might have been employed.

Dwight Eisenhower warned, “”A people that values its privileges above its principles soon loses both.”

Carl Sagan also cautioned, “if we are not able to ask skeptical questions, to interrogate those who tell us that something is true, to be skeptical of those in authority then we are up for grabs.”

There is an ancient Chinese proverb, “When sleeping women wake, mountains will move.”

Vandana Shiva has noted, “We are either going to have a future where women lead the way to make peace with the Earth or we are not going to have a human future at all.”

This includes putting an end to the unspeakable practice of the medical profession portraying women’s health concerns as irrational, and as mental illnesses.

 Imitating the Perpetrator

A college professor of mine analyzing the Black Panthers noted that women who seek to “shatter the glass ceiling” and compete with men are still perpetuating a model of abuse. Jiddu Krishnamurti taught, “It’s no measure of health to be well adjusted to a profoundly sick society”

Women everywhere, and caring men, need to stand with all women everywhere, defending scores of women, especially in the United States, who are dying of neurological illnesses at younger and younger ages.  This is obscene.

Be very uncomfortable.
