In the 1990’s, when I ran an interdisciplinary yoga studio, one of the teachers had a catch phrase ‘Yoga for Everybody.’ We designed a post card with photos of a toddler and a yoga teacher, and a student supplied a picture of her golden retriever. They were each performing inspiring, instinctual and heart-warming expressions of Adho Mukha Svanasana – Downward Dog Pose.  

Yogajala reports that there are 10 benefits of Downward Dog:  1. Stretches the entire body, 2. Eases back pain and promotes good posture 3. Strengthens the upper body 4. Improves stability and balance 5. Full body strength building 6. Calms the mind 7. Boosts mental clarity and focus 8. Supports the digestive system 9. Regulates the nervous system 10. Alleviates tension headaches and migraines.

It’s Always Inflammation

But the point of my story is that soon after we created our downward dog postcard, the student who owned the golden retriever stopped in. She had recently taken the dog to the vet, and his inflammatory markers were sky high.

We had been using his image to promote concepts of stress reduction and mind-body balance, and his nerves were, in fact, on fire.

We were broken-hearted.

I was reminded of the story of her beloved pet when I listened, again, to a recent podcast with Dr. Tom O’Bryan and Nathan Crane about the difference between Healthspan and Lifespan, or Biological Age and Chronological Age.

We are older than our chronological age. We are living longer, but we are spending a greater portion of our lives in poor health. (This includes children, and mounting autism, ADHA, asthma, obesity, and auto-immune issues.) We are headed in the wrong direction.

I know that I am in the same boat as that dog, along with many others. The difference is that I have been fortunate enough to recognize that something is wrong.

According to Dr. Tom O’Bryan, others might be traversing through 30 years of Alzheimer’s development and not know it. The problem is that if we don’t recognize, assess, and address risks while harm is unfolding, invisibly, below the surface, – we can’t respond.

As Dr. O’Bryan stated, we keep throwing gas on the fire, and the fire is in the brain.

How do we make the invisible visible? The answer is: We look at the progression of inflammation. If we are courageous enough, we address the cause.

Telomeres

Regarding aging, I had previously heard Dr. Zach Bush raise a question about the possibility of adverse effects of RF and 5G exposure on the length of telomeres. Healthline explains: “Your DNA is located within the nuclei of your cells, where it’s bundled within structures called chromosomes. Each chromosome carries specific genetic information in the form of genes. As the cells in your body divide, your chromosomes need to replicate so that each cell contains a complete set of chromosomes in its nucleus. At the ends of each of your chromosomes are stretches of DNA called telomeres. Telomeres help protect the ends of your chromosomes from damage or fusing with nearby chromosomes. Keep reading to learn more about these tiny but important structures and why they could unlock the door to preventing disease and reducing the effects of aging.”

Non-repairable, Permanent Indicators of Genotoxic Effects

I also remember reading about a recent study about cell towers and chromosomal damage. “A newly published study found people who lived near telecommunications base station antennas (such as cell towers and telecommunications network antennas) with higher exposure to radio-frequency (RF) radiation from the antennas had significantly higher chromosomal aberrations s (non-repairable, permanent indicators of genotoxic effects) in their blood.  The peer reviewed study entitled “Evaluation of oxidative stress and genetic instability among residents near mobile phone base stations in Germany” was published in the journal Ecotoxicology and Environmental Safety by renowned European experts of the Cancer Research Institute, Biomedical Research Centre, Slovak Academy of Sciences in Bratislava, Slovak Republic, Germany, and the Cancer Research Centre, Medical University of Vienna.  – Enviromental Health Trust (Jun 13, 2024)

Chromosome abnormalities can be inherited from a parent (such as a translocation) or be “de novo” (new to the individual). This is why, when a child is found to have an abnormality, chromosome studies are often performed on the parents. -Source

At times, I have wondered how my life would have turned out if I had not ended up needing to learn about comet assay indices and de novo chromosome abnormalities, and was studying Sanskrit instead. I know the answer. I have an environmental illness progressing towards a disease diagnosis that could possibly have been prevented or mitigated against, but remains beyond my control due to an uncontrolled environment. But had I not been accurately informed about lifestyle choices that are harmful to me, I could be in much worse health, or already deceased, or making choices that are harmful to others.

I would rather know.

I wonder when we will consider the impact of a polluted EMF/RF environment, and genetic damage affecting younger populations, that is not inherited.

How Does Information Translate into Behavioral Change?

When I was in my late teens, ‘Russian Tea’ was all the rage. At the time, the processed food empire was heavily influenced by the patriotism of the Space Race. ‘Russian Tea’ was created by mixing powdered diet iced tea mix with Tang – the astronaut’s drink.

(Wikipedia notes that Kraft Heinz owns the Tang brand in North America. Sales of Tang were poor until NASA used it on John Glenn‘s Mercury flight in February 1962,^[5] and on subsequent Gemini missions.^[6] Since then it has been closely associated with the U.S. human spaceflight program, which created the misconception that Tang was invented for the space program.^[7][8] Tang continues to be used on NASA missions in the present day, over 50 years after its introduction.^[9] – Wikipedia)

I loved concocting Russian Tea, and I loved drinking it. At the time, the diet drink Tab was also advertised as nutritious for women because calcium was being added. Chemistry was king,

When the summer ended, I realized that Russian Tea was also delicious as a hot drink/hot tea.

Then I read that when the artificial sweetener was heated, it caused direct harm – to the brain. It was the last time that I drank Russian Tea or its components.

The experience changed my relationship with the authorities who regulate the food supply. I saw how a chemical product could be brought to market, then classified as carcinogenic, and then re-classified as safe, for example saccharin, or vinyl chloride.

I also know about the unscrupulous product defense field, and mercenary science, and compromised politicians and regulators.

Regarding sweeteners, I started to feel the discomfort that reveals itself when our beliefs are challenged, and when we feel that the societal structures that are supposed to protect us are not reliable or accountable.

Rather than avoiding the discomfort and gravitating back into denial, deep in my cells, when I looked at certain products, I was repelled. I leaned into it.

Regulatory authorities are not revising their science in response to real world conditions. Therefore. the public has to move and evolve faster. We are already witnessing a revolution is behaviors in regard to children and social media, led by parents, driving policy change. That revolution is sparking evolution, and we need it, because we are traversing a de-evolutionary, instinct-injured pathway.

I believe that if everyone had the chance to learn about inflammation progression that the world could shift on a dime. In fact, it can.

It is Time to Remove the Covid-Colored Glasses

As Dr. O’Bryan noted, pre-covid, in 2017, Blue Cross Blue Shield published an alarming report about increasing rates of early onset dementia in ages 30 to 64.

Sky-rocketing Neurological Death Rates

Prior to the Blue Cross Blue Shield report, before Covid, in 2015, Bournemouth University (U.K) researchers Colin Pritchard and Emily Rosenorn-Lanng published their study, Neurological deaths of American adults (55–74) and the over 75’s by sex compared with 20 Western countries 1989–2010: Cause for concern

The researchers showed that deaths due to neurological diseases like Alzheimer’s and dementia were, in fact, rising in the twenty-one Western countries, with especially alarming increases for women in the United States. In August of 2015, the Washington Post reported,” The study [] found that the disease is now being regularly diagnosed in people in their late 40s and that death rates are soaring. [] The problem was particularly acute in the United States, where neurological deaths in men aged over 75 have nearly tripled and in women risen more than fivefold.”

“Total Neurological Deaths include such disparate conditions as Parkinson’s disease, motor neuron disease (MND), hereditary neuromuscular conditions, prion disorders, degenerative diseases, including Creutzfeldt Jacob’s disease (CJD), and new variant CJD[50] though the incidence of the later appears to have relatively stabilized, returning close to pre‑2000 levels.[9,30,41] Earlier research found that dementia morbidity was occurring earlier and had disproportionately increased in some Western countries in people aged 45–74 years, with relatively larger increases in women[26,38,40] as women’s TND rates had risen relatively more than male rates in every country.”

“Moreover, the extent of “early dementias,” often seen in people under 60, was virtually unknown 30 or more years ago and the more than doubling of the over 75’s Total neurological Deaths in the US within just 20 years, suggests that interactive multiple environmental and lifestyle factors are operating.

“Neurological diseases are considered to be “diseases of the elderly”[37] and that possibly the rises are essentially due to the “Gompertzian effect”‑that is, that as people live longer, they have diseases that previously they would not have lived long enough to develop.[7,14,43] This appears to have some validity, but the question is whether such substantial changes, occurring over a relatively short period, are mainly due to the Gompertzian effect? However, international changes in regard to cancer deaths[41,42] do not accord with a Gompertzian prediction, nor does this explanation account for changes between countries and gender especially in the USA, as other studies, while acknowledging an element of Gompertzian process, have suggested that environmental factors play a larger part.[2,24,25,”

“CONCLUSIONS The Gompertzian explanation appears limited, not least because it does not explain the USA position, but we avoid the temptation to speculate but point toward a number of studies indicating possible epigenetic factors influencing neurological morbidity,[3‑5,15,22,24‑26,32,36,44] suggesting that possible nongenetic influences on gene expression, may be entertained.[4‑6,10,12,13,16,20,32,41] The nature of any environmental factors are uncertain but there have been major environmental changes; including increased population, economic activity, substantial rises in road and air travel; increased home technology involving background electromagnetic fields (mobile phones, microwave ovens, computers), which are unique to these later years and these possible environmental factors cannot be ignored, especially as they probably interact.[6,10,27,28,33] This list of possible features might be described as “modern living” and the USA is the epitome of “modern living.””

In the study, death rates for cancer and cardio-vascular diseases were used as controls and compared with neurological deaths. (Note: Unfortunately, the World Health Organization modified their data categories to 20-year cohorts, instead of the previous practice of sorting by decades, further obscuring patterns of earlier neurological damage. There is a difference between dying of dementia at 55 vs. 74. He who controls the data controls the narrative.)

Several points discussed in the podcast with Nathan Crane and Dr. O’Bryan:

1. 14 of the 15 leading causes of death are chronic inflammatory diseases
2. Growing evidence suggests that autoantibodies precede the onset of symptomatic autoimmune disease by many years
3. During the podcast, Dr O’Bryan discusses research published in 2003, conducted on military veterans, demonstrating that biomarkers were present in stored blood in individuals who were subsequently diagnosed with Lupus, that follow a predictable course, years before the disease manifested.
4. Dr. O’Bryan describes the progression from normal immunity to benign immunity to pathogenic autoimmunity to clinical illness.
5. The predomal period is when a disease mechanism can be identified, before specific symptoms appear.
6. Individuals who are at risk to developing an autoimmune disease should be advised to refrain from activities and lifestyle which endangers their health and quality of life.

Although the interview with Dr. O’Bryan and Nathan Crane does not mention reducing exposures to radio frequency radiation powering wireless devices and infrastructure, a portion of the population has been reporting harm, for decades. And independent researchers have been swimming against the tide, validating symptoms and disability.

We need to backtrack to what we were learning about the damage to the brain, and the blood brain barrier, years before covid, and before the arguments about whether covid or vaccines are to blame for health harm.

The testing now available to evaluate biomarkers of brain inflammation leading to specific diseases could be conducted on those experiencing ‘Havana Syndrome;’ on those who comprise the Targeted Justice community; and those reporting Electromagnetic Radiation Syndrome, also known as EHS.

In particular, smart meters have unleashed significant neurological damage in some individuals, and further installations should be stopped pending independent investigation.

The Elimination Challenge – Keith Cutter

Keith Cutter of EMF Remedy has proposed an “EMF Elimination Challenge: A Vision to Change Lives and Heal the World Strategic Initiative #1”

“In my work, I constantly meet people who are on the path to becoming survivors of chronic synthetic EMF exposure. The pattern is always the same: a sudden realization that life is better without synthetic EMF. The specifics vary, but the stories follow a familiar theme. A school teacher falls ill when WiFi is installed in her classroom. A man gets sick after setting up a WiFi router meant for a warehouse in his small apartment. A homeowner moves to a beautiful country home, only to have her health instantly depleted by radar sweeping the area. A woman’s life is forever changed after solar panels are installed on her roof. These are just a few of the many stories I’ve heard from my clients.

In each case, lives are transformed in obvious ways upon exposure to synthetic EMF. Nothing teaches like this kind of experience—a clear and undeniable contrast between life with and without synthetic EMF exposure.

An elimination challenge or trial involves removing one or more potential triggers from a person’s environment, diet, or routine to observe whether symptoms improve or resolve. This approach is commonly used for suspected food intolerances, allergies, chemical sensitivities, or other conditions where specific exposures may be causing harm.“

Dr. William Rea

The late Dr. William Rea of the Environmental Health Center developed a protocol to determine which of his patients were actually sensitive to wireless frequencies. In a 2011 presentation to Building Biologists, he discussed “Solutions for Creating Healthy Buildings”

As part of is protocol, he began by eliminating RF exposure and establishing homeostasis in his patients, and then employing provocation testing.

Researchers involved in manufacturing science to deny the adverse effects of RF exposure are fond of invoking the nocebo effect and claiming that patients cannot determine whether or not they are being exposed to radio frequencies under laboratory conditions.

But if Dr. O’Bryan is telling us that harm can be occurring for 30 years before a disease is detected, and also telling us that predictive biomarkers are present even if we do not yet have a disease diagnosis, and if a portion of the population is reporting harm, and if other researchers including Dr. Magda Havas have provided evidence of changes in heart rate in some patients, isn’t it time for us to stop breaking our own heads and hearts?

Those who are far enough declining towards the development of disease to feel pain when exposed to cell towers, cellphones, and Wi-Fi and who may have already developed harm to tissue are “canaries in the coal mine.”

Last week, mainstream news outlets carried headlines about two new studies investigating Havana Syndrome.

The Washington Post headline stated, “NIH probe of ‘Havana syndrome’ finds no sign of brain injuries”

The New York Times reported, “New Studies Find No Evidence of Brain Injury in Havana Syndrome Cases  (Please use the headline to find the link as it does not copy)

National Public Radio NPR’s headline read, “In Havana syndrome patients, NIH scientists find no physical trace of harm’’

The Guardian noted, “Medical studies find no trace of physical harm in Havana syndrome patients

ABC News reported, “New study finds no brain injuries among ‘Havana syndrome’ patients

CNN’S headline reported, “Despite symptoms, NIH research finds no evidence of ‘Havana syndrome’ in brain scans.”  

Breitbart News declared, “Studies find no brain injury in ‘Havana syndrome’ patients.”

What Did the Articles (not the headlines) Say?

There are a number of implications to be drawn from the contrast between the different headlines and a deeper dive into the content.

 One is that it is important to read the articles, and not just the headlines.

Another is that especially in an election year, priorities regarding issues including national defense can skew “news reporting.”  

1. The studies did not find “no harm.”  As reported by ABC, An array of advanced tests found no brain injuries or degeneration among U_S_ diplomats who suffer mysterious health problems once dubbed “Havana syndrome” “While that couldn’t rule out some transient injury when symptoms began, researchers said it’s good news that they couldn’t spot long-term markers on brain scans that are typical after trauma or stroke.” “A subset, about 28%, of Havana syndrome cases were diagnosed with a balance problem called persistent postural-perceptual dizziness, or PPPD. Linked to inner-ear problems as well as severe stress, it results when certain brain networks show no injury but don’t communicate properly. French called it a “maladaptive response,” much like how people who’ve slouched to alleviate back pain can have posture trouble even after the pain is gone. The Havana syndrome participants reported more fatigue, posttraumatic stress symptoms and depression. The findings are the latest in an effort to unravel a mystery that began when personnel at the U.S. embassy in Cuba began seeking medical care for hearing loss and ear-ringing after reporting sudden weird noises.

CNN noted: “The study concluded that whatever caused Havana syndrome seems to create symptoms “without persistent or detectable physiologic changes. A lack of evidence for a brain injury does not necessarily mean that no injury is present or that it did not occur at the time of the AHI.”

2. One of the most important commentaries about the studies was provided in the CNN article.  “These findings suggest that the origin of the symptoms of participants with AHIs may not be linked to an MRI-identifiable injury to the brain,” the study concluded. This means that harm may not be able to be identified via an MRI. It does not mean that no harm is present. (Most of the symptoms identified by the U.S. military back in 1971 that were associated with microwave exposure would not show up on an MRI, including but not limited to headaches, tinnitus, infertility and cataracts.)

3. The NIH MRI-based research provides no evidence to substantiate a claim that the health damages were not caused by a foreign adversary using directed, pulsed radio frequency energy.  Linking the NIH study to claims from the intelligence community is misleading.

4. Ethics concerns have been raised about the way in which participants were enrolled in the study.

The Back-Story

2020, The National Academies: Directed, Pulsed Radio Frequency Energy

 In December of 2020, the press release “New Report Assesses Illnesses Among U.S. Government Personnel and Their Families at Overseas Embassies” was issued by the National Academies, stating, in part,  “WASHINGTON — Government personnel and their families at the U.S. embassy in Havana, Cuba, in late 2016, and later at the U.S. consulate in Guangzhou, China, began suffering from a range of unusual — and in some cases suddenly occurring — symptoms such as a perceived loud noise, ear pain, intense head pressure or vibration, dizziness, visual problems, and cognitive difficulties, and many still continue to experience these or other health problems.  As part of its effort to ascertain potential causes of the illnesses, inform government employees more effectively about health risks at posts abroad, and determine best medical practices for screening, prevention, and treatment for both short- and long-term health problems, the U.S. Department of State asked the National Academies of Sciences, Engineering, and Medicine to provide advice.  After undergoing a security review, the National Academies’ report is now available.

In examining plausible causes of these illnesses, the committee that conducted the study and wrote the report considered the possibilities of directed, pulsed radio frequency energy, chemical exposures, infectious diseases such as Zika, and psychological issues.  An Assessment of Illness in U.S. Government Employees and Their Families at Overseas Embassies says that among the mechanisms the committee considered, directed, pulsed radio frequency energy appears to be the most plausible mechanism in explaining these cases, especially in individuals with the distinct early symptoms.  Persistent postural-perceptual dizziness (PPPD) — a functional (not psychiatric) vestibular disorder that may be triggered by vestibular, neurologic, or other medical and psychological conditions — is a secondary reinforcing mechanism, as well as the possible additive effects of psychological conditions. 

The committee could not rule out other possible mechanisms and found it is likely that a multiplicity of factors explains some cases and the differences between others.  In particular, it could not be certain that the individuals with only the chronic set of signs and symptoms suffered from the same causes and mechanisms as those who reported the initial, sudden onset set of signs and symptoms.  The committee noted that it faced several challenges in its assessment, related to the extreme variability in the clinical cases as well as lack of access to specific health or personal information on the affected individuals.

“The committee found these cases quite concerning, in part because of the plausible role of directed, pulsed radiofrequency energy as a mechanism, but also because of the significant suffering and debility that has occurred in some of these individuals,” said committee chair David Relman, Thomas C. and Joan M. Merigan Professor in Medicine, professor of microbiology and immunology, and senior fellow at the Center for International Security and Cooperation at Stanford University.  “We as a nation need to address these specific cases as well as the possibility of future cases with a concerted, coordinated, and comprehensive approach.”

2021 JASON and the U.S. State Department: Crickets

On March 18, Scientific American reported, “In 2017, when word of Havana syndrome first broke, news reports widely suggested that “sonic weapons” had played a role. A year later news outlets replaced this claimed potential cause with “microwave” weapons. Then, by 2019, they suggested that “pulsed” microwaves explained the injuries, and the NASEM report later judged that idea as the most plausible cause late that year. Unknown to that report’s writers, a 2018 U.S. Department of State–sponsored technical report conducted by a highly regarded technical group called JASON, which was only declassified later, had already cast doubt on the theory that the injuries were caused by any kind of electromagnetic effect. (Crickets likely explained incident noises, it suggested.) Those doubts also appeared in a 2022 follow-on report from the same experts.

In September of 2021, BuzzFeed News reported “Noises linked to mysterious injuries among US diplomats in Cuba were most likely caused by crickets — not microwave weapons — according to a declassified scientific review commissioned by the US State Department and obtained by BuzzFeed News” “It concluded that the sounds accompanying at least eight of the original 21 Havana syndrome incidents were “most likely” caused by insects. That same scientific review also judged it “highly unlikely” that microwaves or ultrasound beams — now widely proposed by US government officials to explain the injuries — were involved in the incidents. And though the report didn’t definitively conclude what caused the injuries themselves, it found that “psychogenic” mass psychology effects may have played a role.”

BuzzFeedNews reported, “The team was given eight recordings of incidents linked to injuries and performed an extensive analysis of two cellphone video recordings from one patient. After extensive comparison with recordings of various insect species, they concluded with “high confidence” that the sounds in that case came from a particularly loud species of cricket, Anurogryllis celerinictus.”

“A mainstay of the national security arena for decades, JASON contains the nation’s brightest technical minds. “This is a high-powered group of expert scientists examining this question,” said former Los Alamos National Laboratory chemist Cheryl Rofer. “This appears to be a very thorough scientific analysis, the kind which wasn’t done in the National Academies of Sciences report.” [] “What is available in the report is pretty dubious about directed energy weapons,” she said, “and pretty positive about crickets.”

This is despite the fact that the ‘sound’ of crickets has never been causally linked to brain damage and other documented injuries, and the fact that Injuries to diplomatic personnel were reported in locales and during seasons where no indies short tail crickets were attempting to mate.

“James Lin, a University of Illinois biomedical engineer who has argued that the microwave explanation for the injuries is very likely, told BuzzFeed News “A typical sound recorder would not be able to record the ‘microwave sound’, period,” [] by email, after reviewing the JASON report’s findings.” – Buzzfeed News

2023: National Intelligence Council: “It Is “Very Unlikely” A Foreign Adversary Is Responsible For The Reported AHIs”

In March of 2023, the National Intelligence Council issued its “Updated Assessment of Anomalous Health Incidents” stating, ”The IC pursued three separate lines of inquiry: the first encompassed work determining whether available data points to the involvement of a foreign adversary in the incidents; the second focused on the feasibility and existence of deliberate mechanisms that an adversary might use against US personnel to cause AHIs; and the third evaluated whether medical analysis can help determine if an outside actor is involved in the broad range of phenomena and symptoms associated with AHIs. Based on the results of these three lines of inquiry, most IC agencies have concluded that it is “very unlikely” a foreign adversary is responsible for the reported AHIs.” SOURCE

The 4-page report explains confidence ratios and provides the opinion of several unnamed intelligence agencies but provides no explanation for its conclusions.

March 2024: Headlines About the NIH Studies Widely Promote the Claim of No-Harm, (even as the articles themselves may contain conflicting information) – Why?

New York Times:  Casting Doubt on Earlier University of PA Research

“The findings from the National Institutes of Health are at odds with previous research that looked into the mysterious health incidents experienced by U.S. diplomats and spies.” “The lead scientist on one of the two new studies said that while the study was not designed to find a cause, the findings were consistent with those determinations.

The authors said the studies are at odds with findings from researchers at the University of Pennsylvania, who found differences in brain scans of people with Havana syndrome symptoms and a control group.”

Studies by the University of Pennsylvania in 2018 and 2019 suggested that people affected by the syndrome had possible brain injuries that were different from typical concussion injuries or other traumatic brain injuries. Researchers from the University of Pennsylvania said the two studies were “apples to oranges” comparisons because they looked at different groups of patients, and the N.I.H. study was not designed to replicate theirs. The N.I.H. scientists said they did not diagnose the patients with traumatic brain injuries or concussions. The diagnoses they offered instead, all so-called “functional neurologic disorders,” are often caused by stress. The N.I.H. diagnosis angered several people with Havana syndrome symptoms who said it was insulting and misguided because it was tantamount to calling their symptoms psychosomatic or the result of mass hysteria. Dr. Relman, who was among the leaders of an experts panel established by the intelligence agencies and another by the National Academy of Sciences, said the work of those groups had found that the symptoms of some of the affected government workers could not have been caused by stress or psychosocial factors alone.

The findings are the latest in an effort to unravel a mystery that began when personnel at the U.S. embassy in Cuba began seeking medical care for hearing loss and ear-ringing after reporting sudden weird noises.

And in an editorial in JAMA on Monday, one scientist called for more research to prepare for the next such health mystery, cautioning that NIH’s study design plus the limits of existing medical technology could have missed some clues. “One might suspect that nothing or nothing serious happened with these cases. This would be ill-advised,” wrote Dr. David Relman of Stanford University. Scientific American: It Was Hysteria

Scientific American reported ,“People with ‘Havana Syndrome’ Show No Brain Damage or Medical Illness” The abrupt onset of these symptoms led to years of debate among scientists and those affected about possible causes, which ranged from pesticides to group psychology to noise from crickets. Now two medical studies that were conducted by the National Institutes of Health and released on Monday morning might finally have an answer. The researchers compared more than 80 of these affected individuals with similar healthy people. The results, detailed in the Journal of the American Medical Association, show no clinical signs or brain image indications to explain those widely varied symptoms. The JAMA findings follow the 2023 release of an intelligence community assessment that found that the injuries were not the result of foreign attacks. More likely, the assessment suggested, they were tied to previous injuries, stress, environmental concerns and “social factors” such as group psychology, in which illness symptoms reported by one individual in a community can spread serially among its members. Breitbart News: “No evidence of having caused brain injury or biological abnormalities”

“March 18 (UPI) — Severe symptoms from the mysterious “Havana syndrome,” suffered by U.S. diplomats and military personnel overseas, show no evidence of having caused brain injury or biological abnormalities, the National Institutes of Health announced Monday. The NIH conducted two studies over nearly five years, which were published Monday in the Journal of the American Medical Association.” Researchers used advanced imaging techniques, including MRIs, to examine federal employees stationed in Havana and other parts of the world, who had complained of anomalous health incidents — or AHIs — involving odd sounds and head pressure followed by dizziness, headache and cognitive dysfunction. “We didn’t see differences in the structure of the brain or even in the functional connectivity of the brain, said Dr. Leighton Chan, leading author and acting chief scientific officer at NIH Clinical Center. “Our goal was to conduct thorough, objective and reproducible evaluations to see if we could identify structural brain or biological differences in people who reported AHIs.” “While we did not identify significant differences in participants with AHIs, it’s important to acknowledge that these symptoms are very real, cause significant disruption in the lives of those affected and can be quite prolonged, disabling and difficult to treat,” Chan added.

 In one study, NIH researchers examined the brains of those believed to have Havana syndrome and those of a healthy comparison group. Participants underwent a battery of clinical, auditory, balance, visual, neuropsychological and blood biomarkers testing. They also received several MRI scans to look at the volume, structure and function of the brain. The test results show no significant differences and no evidence of brain injury, according to researchers. In a second study, researchers tested 86 federal workers, and adult family members who had reported Havana syndrome, and 30 people with similar jobs who had experienced no symptoms. Again, the two groups were the same. While it is still undetermined what caused the symptoms, the Office of the Director of National Intelligence said last year that the health incidents were “very unlikely” to have been caused by a foreign adversary. 1970’s Irradiation of the Moscow Embassy and Ambassadors, and the Govt. Response

Sixty years ago, another episode involving injuries to diplomats unfolded, and various ‘expert studies’ were also involved. A portion of the American public remembers all too well the sordid chapter of how the government handled (or mishandled) injuries to diplomatic personnel dating back to the 1970’s.

The Association for Diplomatic Studies and Training published diplomat James Schumaker’s account in the article “Microwaving Embassy Moscow — Another Perspective.”

“The existence of the microwave problem had been kept under wraps for years, first because no one knew that there might be health consequences, and later, according to unconfirmed reports, because Henry Kissinger wanted to avoid damaging chances for détente.  When Ambassador Stoessel learned about the problem, he threatened to resign unless the Embassy community was told.  As a result, the microwave story was finally made public in a press conference called by the Ambassador.”

In “War of the Waves: Combating Espionage in Embassy Moscow,” the Association for Diplomatic Studies and Training reports, “One of the strangest episodes was revealed in the 1970s, when the U.S. confirmed that the USSR had been beaming microwaves at the embassy for the past 15 years. One concern was that the Soviets were trying to inflict physical harm on the Americans working there. Famed columnist Jack Anderson wrote that a CIA file named “Operation Pandora” described the Soviets’ attempt to “brainwash” Americans.

The level of microwaves was actually lower than what was considered safe in the U.S. at the time; another explanation is that the USSR was apparently trying to jam electronic monitoring devices located at the embassy.

William Andreas Brown discussed the widespread concern among Americans working at the embassy at the time, and their anger at the State Department for its lack of transparency on the issue:

“I have to tell you what a shock it was in about 1972 or 1973 to wake up to the great, microwave scandal and to find that Secretary of State Henry Kissinger and his associates had kept from us the fact that for years we had been bombarded by microwave apparatuses, directed straight at the embassy in Moscow. We learned only years later that this had happened and that information on it had been kept from us. Foreign Service physical examinations routinely include a blood test.” “Unbeknownst to us, the Department of State was testing our blood to see what, if anything had happened to us as a result of the microwave radiation. This was a pretty jolting realization.”

“[] the studies of our blood samples over the years of people who had served in Moscow showed that something like six months after a person arrived in Moscow, his or her white blood counts rose significantly. Some people speculated that this had to do with the water supply. A team led by a doctor was sent out from Washington to look into the matter. [] he had earlier pooh-poohed the notion that the radiation the American staff was receiving was deleterious.”

“[] the point is that microwave emissions were being beamed at us. [] a visiting technician from the State Department came with equipment and said, “Do you mind if I set this up in your office?” I said, “Okay, but why here? Why in my office?” He said, “Because actually there are at least two beams being directed at the embassy. One comes in from the front of the embassy building, and one comes in from that great, white building over there, which is called the ‘White House.’  You know, where the Russian Parliament meets. At the same time, journalists like Paul Brodeur were pointing out that the health effects of low-intensity microwaves were not well understood, nor were the possible synergistic interactions of outside microwaves with similar microwave sources within the Embassy itself.

“All in all, many people in Moscow were agitated and offended by what appeared to be efforts to sweep the whole controversy under the rug. The clincher for many Moscow staffers was the unusual incidence of illness on the part of American Ambassadors stationed in Moscow.  An article by Paul Brodeur in the December 20, 1976 issue of New Yorker and an earlier article in Time Magazine reported that not only had two recent American Ambassadors to Moscow died of cancer (Llewellyn “Tommy” Thompson and Charles Chip” Bohlen), then-Ambassador Walter Stoessel was suffering from a severe blood disorder (Ambassador Stoessel, who was universally admired, eventually died of leukemia in 1986).  To most Moscow staffers, it just seemed like too much of a coincidence.” – James Schumaker

Paul Brodeur

New York Times journalist Paul Brodeur passed away in 2023.

Louis Slesin of the highly respected Microwave News wrote a must-read chronicle of the history of Brodeur’s work.  “While Mr. Brodeur was widely hailed for his reporting on asbestos and the ozone layer, some scientists said he was unnecessarily alarmist, even conspiratorial, in raising concern about potential health effects caused by power lines, cellphones and other household devices.” As Louis Slesin explains, “How could someone who everyone agreed got it so right on asbestos, now be vilified for getting it so wrong on microwaves and power lines? It’s a long story. The short version is that Brodeur got it right:

• Microwave radiation and power-frequency electromagnetic fields can lead to profound biological changes. The microwave-cancer connection, far from being fanciful, seems more than likely today.

• Beyond any reasonable doubt, there was, and continues to be, a cover-up. Powerful forces —initially the military-industrial complex, and now society as a whole— have insisted that the radiation cannot harm us except through heating. Further research has been consistently delayed and suppressed.”

Questioning the Ethics of Enrollment for the NIH study?

“Carlo Pierpaoli, lead author on the neuroimaging study, said while there is no evidence of brain injury on the MRIs, it is still possible that those reporting AHIs “may be experiencing the results of an event that led to their symptoms, but the injury did not produce the long-term neuroimaging changes that are typically observed after severe trauma or stroke.”

“A lack of evidence for an MRI-detectable difference between individuals with AHIs and controls does not exclude that an adverse event impacting the brain occurred at the time of the AHI,” said Pierpaoli, senior investigator and chief of the NIH’s Laboratory on Quantitative Medical Imaging at the National Institute of Biomedical Imaging and Bioengineering.

“Mark Zaid — an attorney representing “AHIs victims from CIA, State, DIA, Commerce, USAID, FBI and NSA, as well as whistleblowers from within the USG” — echoed some of Pierpaoli’s sentiment, writing in a statement, “Of course, the absence of evidence is not evidence.”

Zaid added, however, that “these studies therefore do nothing to undermine the theory that a foreign adversary is harming US personnel and their families with a form of directed energy.”

Zaid stressed his concern that these studies provide fodder to detractors undermining the experiences reported by those with AHIs. He also raised “substantive and ethical concerns” with the way subjects were allegedly approached about participating in the study.

With an intelligence community that has increasingly turned inward on its own nation, employing the indiscriminate use of microwaves, and with reported harm from both acute and chronic exposures to radio frequencies, and with frenzied election year political interests seeking to exploit safety and security issues, the stakes are higher than defending crickets.

Regarding the recent news, “Critics, including attorney Mark Zaid, cautioned against the misuse of the NIH study by intelligence agencies to support their assertions of an absence of evidence as evidence itself. In his article, Michael Cobbs noted, ‘I warned that a House of Representatives fixated on investigating the Biden Administration rather than addressing the systemic shortfalls of our country augured poorly for the two years just ahead. With a House stubbornly averse to meeting its Constitutionally-mandated legislative responsibilities and—perhaps just as bad—an increasingly dysfunctional judiciary that seems intent on neutering the other two branches of government, I wrote that it looked like tough sledding ahead for our struggling democracy.” [ ]

The former FCC Commissioner noted, “we need to repair commercial media like radio and TV, bringing back Federal Communications Commission regulatory oversight that was built up over the years but eliminated by recent GOP-majority FCCs. Rules and regulations limiting mergers and acquisitions, requiring diversity of viewpoint and diversity of ownership, coverage of local news like mayors’ offices, courts, school boards, environmental challenges, limits on advertising, some semblance of balance in the presentation of viewpoints, and programs for children. [ ]”

He concluded, “We need media that informs and underpins democracy. But we have let media run wild in an orgy of commercialism, consolidation, profiteering, and disregard for the citizenry that must be its lodestar. It is time to fix this mess.”

Both Parties Culpable: Democrats & Republicans, Since 1984

Setting aside partisan politics, let’s not jump on the bandwagon of assuming that increased FCC regulatory oversight by Democrats would result in Americans singing the Halleluiah Chorus.

As the Environmental Health Trust clarified in correspondence to President Biden, the last time that either political party’s Environmental Protection Agency looked at the question of the RF safety (relative to cell phones) was in 1984.

“As the Natural Museum of Natural History notes, “Motorola produced the DynaTAC cell phone in 1984 after more than a decade of work in cellular research and technology. The Motorola DynaTAC (an abbreviation of Dynamic Adaptive Total Area Coverage) was the first commercially available portable handheld cell phone. The phone was a 9-inches tall, weighed 2.5 pounds, had 30 minutes of battery life, and sold for $4,000. The Federal Communications Commission divided the country into market areas and licensed cellular service to two companies per market, one affiliated with a wired telephone company and one non-wired franchise.”

We might be better protected if mobile phones were still 9-inches tall, weighed 2.5 pounds, had 30 minutes of battery life, and sold for $4,000, because for nearly 40 years, we have been willfully ignoring the non-thermal effects of non-ionizing radiation on human health and the environment. (Maybe babies wouldn’t be holding portable phones if they were heavier.)

Many note rightfully that we would also be better protected, for example in fire-prone California, or storm-prone Maine, if hard-wired telephone coverage was maintained.

But the issue is much more significant than the question of cell phones vs. landlines. Towers, antennas, small cells, satellites, boosters, and hot spots with increasingly stealth and disguised architecture have all escaped from the barn, because Democrats locked the gate opened.

In fact, under Democratic leadership of the Clinton administration, section 704 of the Telecommunications Act of 1996 was created, which states, “No State or local government or instrumentality thereof may regulate the placement, construction, and modification of personal wireless service facilities on the basis of the environmental effects of radio frequency emissions to the extent that such facilities comply with the Commission’s regulations concerning such emissions.” Section 704 of The Telecommunications Act of 1996

Physicians for Safe Technology explains, “The U.S. Telecommunications Act of 1996 and the Spectrum Act of 2012 limit local government’s ability to place infrastructure for cellular communications and simultaneously facilitates industry deployment.”

“The Telecommunications Act of 1996 was the first major revision of the 62-year-old Communications Act of 1934. The stated FCC goal of this restructuring of US Markets was to reduce the Monopoly AT&T had on the long distance market. The passage of the Telecom Act has however led to such significant deregulation that there is much more consolidation of radio and phone service with only a few carriers who essentially monopolize and control the industry with the help of a powerful industry association, CITA. The effort to pass the Telecom Act was led by the telecommunications industry and has incorporated protections for business, however, not for public or environmental health (nor for privacy or security).”

“The language was codified in Section 704 of the Telecommunications Act, which prohibits environmental concerns (or health concerns by purported lack of substantial evidence) as a reason for denial of cell towers. This is despite growing awareness and scientific confirmation of both environmental and health effects from exposure to cell tower radiation and all radiofrequency wireless devices. FCC Captured Agency and Captured Politicians, Including Highly Paid Democrats

“Captured agencies are essentially controlled by the industries they are supposed to regulate.…the entire system is greased by the free flow of executive leadership between the FCC and the industries it presumably oversees.”  Norm Alster, Captured Agency

(Politicians on both sides of the aisle, including highly paid MA Democratic Senator Edward Markey, receive significant funding from the industry. Senator Markey, who helped draft the Telecom Act of 1996, has refused to support constituents in Massachusetts seeking advocacy for wireless concerns.)

More Wireless by Democrats: Obama’s Smart Grid

During the Obama administration, federal funding was directed towards stimulating the economy by rolling out wireless smart utility meters. The deployments immediately resulted in reports of the acute onset of microwave sickness in a portion of the population, which were ignored.

Because very few health care providers have been trained to recognize and diagnose the condition of sensitivity to electromagnetic fields, or other adverse health effects associated with wireless exposures and/or polluted power quality, the actual incidence of harm remains un-quantified. But the fact that smart meter opt-out battles ensued after the meters were installed in so many jurisdictions is indicative of concerns, including privacy, health, and green-washing, as well as the fact that mercenary liar-for-hire tobacco scientists were employed industry-wide to negate reports of harm.

Disability Rights

And as noted by the Cities of Boston and Philadelphia in their joint testimony to the FCC in 2013, “The FCC admits its own lack of expertise in the field. But the overlap of federal agency responsibilities for RF radiation protection and the merely advisory status of the Radiofrequency Interagency Work Group often leaves leadership unclear and encourages a pass-the-buck attitude. The 1999-2000 judicial challenge to the FCC’s 1996 rules never reached the issue of “electrosensitivity” as a cognizable disability under the Americans with Disabilities Act. (“ADA”) Here again, an agency responsible for ADA implementation acknowledges that the impairment may be disabling but has promised merely further inquiry. After more than a decade, that investigation remains unopened. The dockets here have been updated with massive additional evidence of the crippling effects of RF radiation on an admitted minority – but a suffering minority – of U.S. citizens. The FCC and its sister regulatory agencies share responsibility for adherence to the ADA and should replace promises with serious attention to a serious medical problem. This is one area where the FCC could lead in advice to electrosensitive persons about prudent avoidance.”- SOURCE 

Nearly another full decade has passed since this 2013 testimony, and neither political party has addressed the FCC ignoring ADA accommodation. Lack of access to safe housing caused by an environmentally induced, avoidable health condition (justified by Democrats under ‘sustainability’ and ‘climate emergency’) is a repressive violation of human rights.

According to researcher Beatrice Golumb, an expert who helped investigate Havana Syndrome injuries to diplomats, the installation of a wireless smart utility meter was cited as the most frequent variable associated with the acute onset of EMF/RF illness, yet deployments continue across the country.     

The CHD/EHT FCC Lawsuit

Subsequently, Jrseco.com explains,

“In 2012, Congress directed the FCC to reassess its exposure limits, set in 1996, in light of the enormous developments in new wireless technologies since then, and their rollout. The FCC then opened a public comment period for the public to submit comments. Thousands of comments and scientific studies were submitted by scientists, medical organizations and doctors, as well as hundreds of reports from people who have become ill from electromagnetic radiation.

Then on Dec. 4, 2019, the FCC closed the public comment period and issued its decision, simply stating that it would maintain the 1996 exposure limits, without making the slightest attempt to properly evaluate the comments submitted and all the evidence.”

In response, the Environmental Health Trust and Children’s Health Defense of Robert F. Kennedy Jr. filed a lawsuit against the FCC in early 2020. The lawsuits were combined, and in August 2021 the U.S. Court of Appeals ruling followed.

The court ruled that the FCC had failed to provide a reasoned explanation for its view that the exposure limits would adequately protect against the harmful effects of radio frequency (RF) radiation. The FCC’s December 2019 decision to maintain its 1996 safety limits was “arbitrary and capricious.”

“The court ruled that the FCC failed to respond to “established evidence that exposure to RF radiation at levels below the current limits can cause adverse health effects unrelated to cancer.” The court ruled that the FCC ignored numerous organizations, scientists and doctors who urged it to adjust the limits. The court found that the FCC failed to address the following issues:

• impacts of long term wireless exposure
• impacts to children
• the testimony of people injured by wireless radiation
• impacts to wildlife and the environment
• impacts to the developing brain and reproduction” – Jrseco.com

The FCC has failed to address the court’s remand.

Connectivity does in fact offer tremendous opportunities to communities. But the benefits of wired and wireless have been conflated. Wireless ‘safety’ standards are inadequate. Neither political party has done its due diligence,

Massachusetts and Connecticut

Senator Michael Moore of Worcester Massachusetts can’t put the Commonwealth’s legislature on the right side of history by himself, but the preamble to the 2023 smart meter opt out bill that he has sponsored has given ratepayers hope. ‘Whereas, The deferred operation of this act would tend to defeat its purpose, which is to maintain public health, therefore it is hereby declared to be an emergency law, necessary for the immediate preservation of the public health, and, c) The utility companies shall be required to obtain the ratepayer’s written consent:(1) before installing wireless meters or “equivalent technology” on the ratepayer’s property…” (Advocates in MA have attempted to pass protective legislation for a decade, dating back to 2013.)

The purpose of Connecticut House Bill 5107 “An Act Concerning Small Cell Siting And Smart Meter Opt-in” sponsored by Democratic Representatives David Michel and Anne Hughes is “to give municipalities different options in conducting the siting for small cell installations and to prohibit electric utilities from installing smart meters if the customer does not opt in and consent to the installation.”

One option could be not siting small cell installations that cause harm.

“Flying Blind” On The Health Effects Of 5G Wireless Technology Confirmed At US Senate Hearing After Senator Blumenthal Questions Industry

As reported by the Environmental Health Trust nearly 4 years ago, Connecticut Senator Blumenthal raised concerns about the lack of any scientific research and data on the technology’s potential health risks, (5G) stating, ” “I believe the American people deserve to know what the health effects are…We are flying blind here on health and safety”.

There are plenty of actions that Democrats can pursue to move the needle in the direction of “fixing this mess,” including recognizing science, human rights, and the rights of nature. Independent researchers, healers, and laypersons have been engaged in earnest, sincere efforts to educate the public about how artificial frequencies are causing symptoms, adverse health effects, illness, pain and suffering, and disability in a portion of the population.

For example, the WEEP Initiative, “The Canadian Initiative to Stop Wireless, Electric, and Electromagnetic Pollution” has been disseminating information about wireless risks since 2008.  Their guide, “What Is Electrohypersensitivity” (adapted from material written by Beau Binder and Anna Jonsson) includes a list of common symptoms and a description of the stages of the health condition called ‘EHS’ or ‘microwave sickness.’

“Common Symptoms

• Concentration problems
• Memory lapses
• Aches or pressure in head, throat and chest
• Unsteady balance, dizziness
• Altered heart rate
• Ringing in the ears
• Excessive fatigue
• Numbness or pain in affected areas
• Sleep disturbances
• Eye irritation
• Red skin blotches, eczema

Four Stages of Electrohypersensitivity

1. Mild combinations of some of the common symptoms – typically headaches, concentration & memory problems – while working with electronic equipment.
2. Longer lasting symptoms after working with electronic equipment. Similar reactions in the vicinity of transmission towers and relay antennae. Symptoms often require medical care.
3. Inability to work full-time; frequent sick leaves taken to cope with symptoms.
4. Acute adverse reactions from electromagnetic pollution, both in outdoor and indoor environments. Results in unemployment and severe curtailment of freedom. Requires expensive reengineering of home environment or relocation to spartan, EMF/EMR-free rural or wilderness areas.” – WEEP

The Canadian group has also developed a resource for “Talking to Your Doctor,” as many health care providers do not yet recognize the condition.

Other organizations, worldwide, have also developed lists and graphics that summarize health complaints associated with both radiofrequency exposures and polluted power quality.

West Meets East: Training Acupuncturists to Identify and Treat Electromagnetic Hypersensitivity

An important bridge between Western and Eastern perspectives on ‘EHS’ and other environmental health challenges is emerging as practitioners of so-called “Alternative Medicine” are sharing insights, experience, and knowledge.

In May of 2002, “TCM Treatments for EMF Sensitivity | Acupuncture CEU Course” was taught by Wisconsin acupuncturist and functional medicine practitioner Michelle Meramour, Dipl.Ac..

Genetic Predispositions

In the introductory talk, Michelle Meramour begins by explaining that there are measurable genetic predispositions towards electrical sensitivity, 

She provides acupuncturists with background on Western RF research, including Martin Pall’s work on voltage gated calcium channels, before introducing a model of EMF injury and illness progression based in Chinese Medicine.

At about 45 minutes into the video, she describes the progression of six stages of EHS from the Chinese Medicine perspective, as disharmony moves through six meridian pairs. (Meridians are the invisible electromagnetic pathways that act like fiber optic networks carrying light energy throughout the body.)

Exterior Pathogenic “Heat” Becomes Internal Wind

According to the evocative imagery of Traditional Chinese Medicine, “Unseen pathogens that enter the body are thought to travel on the Wind.”

Michelle Meramour’s modernized model considers RF as exterior pathogenic ‘heat.’

But the use of term ‘heat’ does not refer to measuring the temperature of inanimate engineering models. This practice forms the backbone of industry and regulator claims about the ‘safety’ of tech devices and infrastructure.

Prevailing regulation of wireless exposures (derived from military radar and economic priorities) only protects against acute short-term exposures, and heating and burns, Yet Alzheimer’s, dementia and other neurological conditions are not caused by “a ‘temperature,’”

Traditional Chinese Medicine addresses pathogenic properties, including inflammation, and is not restricted to measurable thermal injury and/or increased core body temperature.

As an example, one observed manifestation of damage caused by RF exposure in some individuals is high blood pressure, which, again, does not feature increased body temperature. When high blood pressure is associated with RF, it is perceived in Michele’s model as an external force that then manifests as increased internal Wind.

 “…The people who have the most severe EMF sensitivities are often having neurological issues, and that’s Wind. That’s when Wind becomes internal Wind. That’s when the body’s damaged so much and the blood is damaged so much that then they have internally generated wind. It starts exterior, and if it goes for too long deep enough in the body it ends up acting like an internal Wind.”

The First of Six Stages: Small Intestine and Urinary Bladder

(In Chinese medicine, although the meridians have the same names as organs in the West, the labels refer to both the invisible lines of energy as well as an entire resonant field that corresponds with an organ system’s frequency. Names of meridians are customarily capitalized.)

Michele created a body feedback system rooted in TCM acupuncture that uses Six Level Theory to diagnose and treat EHS.

From Michele’s feedback system, in the first stage, EMF infiltrates the body via two meridian pathways: Small Intestine, and Urinary Bladder.  

In Traditional Chinese Medicine, the Small Intestine is associated with the entire enteric nervous system, ie the ‘gut’.

(Scholarpedia describes the Enteric Nervous System: “The enteric nervous system (ENS) is the intrinsic nervous system of the gastrointestinal tract. It contains complete reflex circuits that detect the physiological condition of the gastrointestinal tract, integrate information about the state of the gastrointestinal tract, and provide outputs to control gut movement, fluid exchange between the gut and its lumen, and local blood flow (Gershon 2005; Furness 2006). It is the only part of the peripheral nervous system that contains extensive neural circuits that are capable of local, autonomous function. The ENS has extensive, two-way, connections with the central nervous system (CNS), and works in concert with the CNS to control the digestive system in the context of local and whole body physiological demands. Because of its extent and its degree of autonomy, the ENS has been referred to as a second brain.”)

In TCM, the Urinary Bladder is associated with the functioning of the autonomic nervous system.

(Scholarpedia describes the Autonomic Nervous System: “The term autonomic nervous system (ANS) refers to collections of motor neurons (ganglia) situated in the head, neck, thorax, abdomen, and pelvis, and to the axonal connections of these neurons [ ] Autonomic pathways, together with somatic motor pathways to skeletal muscle and neuroendocrine pathways, are the means whereby the central nervous system (CNS) sends commands to the rest of the body.”)

Symptoms from TCM Perspective = Imbalance

Michelle Meramour explains “In the Body-Feedback system, the tai yang meridians (Small intestine and Urinary Bladder) correspond with the hypothalamus, which determines how information is processed through the autonomic nervous system. The hypothalamus then creates hormones via the pituitary gland and endocrine system connection. Symptoms of EMFs affecting tai yang include poor quality sleep, general hypersensitivity, ANS dysfunction, weak immune function, and moodiness.”

As she addresses the other five levels of disharmony associated with the five additional meridian pairs, she discusses histamines, allergies, MAST cell activation, chronic inflammation, and manifestations of deeper levels of imbalance that are very familiar to the EHS patient and practitioner population, including cardiac conditions.

The East: Harmonizing the Internal Field with the External Field

Individuals navigating the challenge of a mainstream medical model, industry, regulatory environment, and mass culture that discounts EHS health complaints may experience tremendous comfort and support by being introduced to a modern application of an extensive cosmological model that has stood the test of time.

A goal of Chinese Medicine is to harmonize the internal energies with the changing patterns of the external Cosmic Current, making TCM a relevant framework for understanding disharmony resulting from EMF/RF pollution on the subtle energy body.

TCM is modified by the time that treatment is provided. because time is recognized as an energetic, synchronizing frequency, and not simply a commodity or a tool to coordinate the masses.

For the TCM perspective, imbalance is apparent long before causal proof of association with a specific disease, which is a criterion that continues to dominate in the West (for example, regulating tobacco re: lung cancer, and the question of cell phone use and brain tumors, while ignoring other symptoms and evidence of harm, including proximal infrastructure).

Because of the misguided focus on disease rather than dis-ease, products like lead remain in common use, causing harm decades after evidence of health and environmental damage is apparent, as noted in numerous cases of “Late Lessons from Early Warnings” quantified by the European Environment Agency,” which promotes the Precautionary Principle.

Treatment is Individualized: Constitutional Medicine

As Michele explains, feedback from the individual’s body informs the treatment approach, because Chinese Medicine recognizes that healing is an individualized journey.

Although not discussed in the video, Chinese Medicine (as well as India’s Ayurvedic sciences) recognize that individuals vary by constitutional type,

For example, recognition of varying capacities for detoxification tied to Liver function is beginning to receive mainstream attention, based on models of preventing disease, and genetic testing.

But recognition of the Spleen’s role in distributing chi throughout the entire organism, based on an understanding of individual constitution playing out against the changing backdrop of the Cosmic Current, has not reached critical mass. (Donna Eden is one of the foremost teachers of energy medicine, including the Spleen- Triple Warmer dynamic and its role in managing stress. Her daughter Dondi Dahlin has authored her own book on constitution via Five-Element theory,)

From a Chinese Medicine perspective, the Spleen constitution may be one of the most vulnerable to EMF/RF injury. The mainstream mass medical model does not recognize that certain constitutional types are prone to different types of health challenges., including an increased sensitivity to EMF/RF and dirty electricity, or that certain conditions can be exacerbated by exposures, for example, M.S.

This knowledge has not yet been translated into accessible, informed, individualized lifestyle choices or policy decisions.

Chinese medicine’s insights offer an extraordinarily accessible and applicable template that could quickly progress society’s understanding of ecology and health.

The Evolutionary Role of Sensitivity

Trauma expert Peter Levine wrote, “In a herd of deer, we need some super-sensitive ones. They are the ones that will hear that teeniest little crack or smell the one or two molecules of scent from the mountain lion that’s stalking them. Their job is to use their hyper-sensitivity to alert the whole group.”

Peter Levine’s perspective on sensitivity’s evolutionary protective function has not gained a foothold, due to an enduring focus on economic growth at the expense of health and the environment. 

Destroying The Web of Life; Wireless as Technocratic Pollutant

Access to the remarkable knowledge shared in the acupuncture training video is a reminder of the benefits of the internet and ‘world wide web’ for sharing wisdom from many sources around the world.

But dominance and ridicule interfere with the evolution of science and understanding, for example, via Wikipedia: “Acupuncture is a pseudoscience the theories and practices of TCM are not based on scientific knowledge, and it has been characterized as quackery.”

The West does not understand the exquisite synchronizing force of the cosmos. Lack of literacy is amplified by enduring trauma of the witch trials and fueled by increasing fear of ‘climate’ narratives that justify even more technology overreach. Humanity has been insidiously led to embrace the belief that data and ‘connectivity’ (doubling as surveillance and control) must be faster and more ubiquitous and provided by wireless applications.

The consumer-based economic growth model remains dissociated from the laws of nature and health that were quantified thousands of years ago, in reverential societies grounded in principles of balance and harmony.

Proof of Disease or Proof of Dis-regulation?

Sleep disruption caused by electrosmog is just one indication of interference with synchronicity with the Cosmic Current; digestive challenges are another, and both impair immune function. Chronobiology has only been recently discovered in the West. With the insights of TCM, society can reject industry’s demand for proof of disease onset, and instead heed immediate evidence of dis-regulation and assault on the internal sovereignty of individuals,

Outdated Beliefs, and The Skin as Intelligent Information Highway

The industry narratives that non-ionizing is not harmful because it is not ionizing, and that adverse health effects can only be caused by thermal injury, are inaccurate.

In 2009, researcher Dr Morry Silberstein of Curtin University discovered that, ” the insertion of an acupuncture needle into the skin disrupts the branching point of nerves called C fibres, which transmit low-grade sensory information over very long distances by using Merkel cells as intermediaries. “We have known for some time that acupuncture points have a much lower electrical resistance than nearby areas of skin,” Dr Silberstein said.”

In addition, researchers at Hebrew University in Jerusalem, including Yael Stein, researched “5G” millimeter wave technology (Sub Terahertz frequencies) interaction with the human body. They discovered that human sweat glands act as helical antennas.

This indicates that inanimate engineering models designed to justify the safety of 5G that treat the skin as homogeneous are incorrect, for example, inanimate tissue modeling that claims that 5G “vanishes” before it reaches “the brain layer.”

Chinese medicine implies that research should be conducted to determine how artificial frequencies impact the ”points” in the skin that act as receivers and serve as the distribution network for chi that impacts internal function, regardless of temperature.

Accessing the wisdom of Chinese Medicine offers humanity a remarkable opportunity to move into deeper literacy regarding balance and health, and to make newly informed decisions about the role of unconscious conveniences, outdated beliefs, and the reign of technocracy.

It also offers the promise of addressing dismissal, ridicule, fear and/or dominance towards indigenous, Eastern, Chinese and Russian intellectual contributions.

Unacknowledged fear and arrogance is blocking global human healing potentials and enabling untold health and environmental harm.

Recognition of disharmony, entitlement, and lack of reverence is mounting.

The marker must be moved away from evidence of a causal link to disease onset and inanimate engineering models supporting theoretical thermal thresholds, and towards safer technologies. We already have the map – no GPS navigation via satellite is needed.

Although consumers are mostly unaware, researchers and laypersons worldwide have been studying the phenomenon of symptom onset, illness, and disability associated with exposure to radar, microwaves, non-ionizing radiation, and other artificial, manmade frequencies, for decades.

A wave of so-called “electromagnetic hypersensitivity” complaints emerged when utilities began installing wireless meters and powerline communications onto the electric grid. Reports of harm also have accompanied the installation of towers and antennas, including 5G, in residential areas.

Rather than heeding evidence of damage, the industry and regulators have continued to pursue expansion and growth, devoid of premarket safety testing, monitoring or independent investigation.  

On the other side of the equation, thousands of years ago, Eastern masters developed practices to harmonize themselves with the rhythms within the Cosmic Current, which they recognized as a synchronizing force in the universe.

Is it time to consult the ancient wisdom, along with a growing body of expertise sourced from around the world?

Dr. Domique Belpomme

In March of 2015, French physician Dr. Dominique Belpomme summarized biological markers that have been associated with EHS/microwave illness.

Earlier, in a radio interview in 2014, Dr. Belpomme surmised that “Electrosensitivy is a Pre-Alzeheimer’s state”.  “From the graph [ ] depicting Alzheimer’s prevalence over time, we can see that the first uptick appears to have been in the period 1920-1980. This was the period when radio, radar, television, computers and other electronics were introduced. The second uptick, and a very significant one, appears to have occurred from 1980 to the present day, the period when cell phones, WiFi, WiMax, RFID, smart meters, wireless home computers and printers, iPads and a wide range of wireless RF monitoring devices and sensors, became commonplace in our lives. More research is needed as well as public education about the EHS-Pre-Alzheimer’s connection.”

Epidemiology: Neurology

Recent epidemiology work by UK researchers Colin Pritchard and Emily Rosenorn-Lanng of Bournemouth University indicates that rates of neurological disease and death are in fact sky-rocketing, especially for older women, and that diagnoses are being made for patients in younger age groups.  See here and here.

The Blood Brain Barrier

One area of concern to Western researchers is damage to the blood brain barrier.

The Bio-initiative Report notes, “The BBB is a protective barrier that prevents the flow of toxins into sensitive brain tissue. Increased permeability of the BBB caused by cell phone RFR may result in neuronal damage. Many research studies show that very low intensity exposures to RFR can affect the blood-brain barrier (BBB) (mostly animal studies). Summing up the research, it is more probable than unlikely that non-thermal EMF from cell phones and base stations do have effects upon biology. A single 2-hr exposure to cell phone radiation can result in increased leakage of the BBB, and 50 days after exposure, neuronal damage can be seen, and at the later time point also albumin leakage is demonstrated. The levels of RFR needed to affect the BBB have been shown to be as low as 0.001 W/kg, or less than holding a mobile phone at arm’s length. The US FCC standard is 1.6 W/kg; the ICNIRP standard is 2 W/kg of energy (SAR) into brain tissue from cell/cordless phone use. Thus, BBB effects occur at about 1000 times lower RFR exposure levels than the US and ICNIRP limits allow. (Salford, 2012 – Section 10)

If the blood-brain barrier is vulnerable to serious and on-going damage from wireless exposures, then we should perhaps also be looking at the blood-ocular barrier (that protects the eyes), the blood-placenta barrier (that protects the developing fetus) and the blood-gut barrier (that protects proper digestion and nutrition), and the blood-testes barrier (that protects developing sperm) to see if they too can be damaged by RFR.”

As reported by the Cellular Phone Task Force, currently the most active research on the BBB is being done at Lund University in Sweden by Dr. Leif Salford..

“In laboratory rats, Salford’s team has demonstrated that blood-brain barrier leakage occurs after only two minutes of exposure. Further, a single two-hour exposure to a cell phone, even at reduced power, was shown to damage or destroy up to two percent of an animal’s brain cells.

In other experiments in Salford’s laboratory, long term exposure of rats to a cell phone caused memory impairment, and a single six-hour exposure at extremely low power levels caused genetic damage. Exposure to a low-frequency magnetic field (low frequencies are also emitted by cell phones) caused disturbances of calcium transport in cells.

Salford has called the use of cell phones by human beings “the largest biological experiment ever,” and he calls the potential implications of his laboratory results “terrifying.” “Those who might normally have got Alzheimer’s dementia in old age could get it much earlier,” he said.”

Nullifying Non-thermal Effects

A significant stumbling block to moving the needle forward on the West’s understanding of harm attributed to radiofrequency exposures is that international regulatory bodies beholden to military and industrial growth have not been willing to consider biological impacts other than those caused by increased heat.

Rather than actually investigating reported harm, regulators continue to promote claims of safety by measuring the temperature of inanimate engineering models, creating a stranglehold on the evolution of biological science and human rights protections.  

Chronobiology: The West Lacks a Historical Cosmological Worldview

The West lags far behind the East in understanding chronobiology, for which a Noble prize was awarded in 2017. “Chronobiology is a field of biology that examines the generation of biological rhythms in various creatures and in many parts of body, and their adaptive fitness to solar- and lunar-related periodic phenomena. The synchronization of internal circadian clocks with external timing signals confers accurate phase response and tissue homeostasis.”

The West, unlike the East, does not possess the cosmological worldview that recognizes how the human energy field operates in harmony with the changing patterns of the electromagnetic cosmic current.

Acupuncture

Acupuncture is a science dating back thousands of years. Acupuncture mapped out the patterns within the fiber optic-like network that carries light energy and chronobiology throughout the human energy field, choreographed by the angle of the sun’s rays and coordinated by the Spleen/Triple Warmer balance.

When provided in a pure electromagnetic environment that manifests the symmetry and rhythms of the external cosmic current, acupuncture can harmonize the internal energy field, while re-synchronizing it with the cosmos, whether within the hours of the day or the seasons of the year. 

For example, Chinese Medicine recognizes that Gall Bladder and Liver energies dominate in the spring detoxification season, while Lung and Large Intestine energies dominate in the fall. An acupuncture treatment may also vary depending on the time of day that it is administered, in recognition of the health sustaining daily rhythms of exertion and rest for each individual organ system.

If man-made artificial frequencies are causing interference and static that disrupts the essential relationship between human health and the natural EMF environment, acupuncture may be uniquely positioned to be able to quantify and clarify how harm is occurring.

Unfortunately, acupuncture may also be rendered ineffective if the treatment room is subjected to inharmonious frequencies that are bioactive.

This is not only an issue for an acupuncture treatment office; many individuals are reporting sleep disturbances and/or inescapable, invasive sound that they attribute to being induced by artificial frequencies infiltrating their homes.

For example, in testifying regarding the safety of smart meters, epidemiologist Dr. Sam Milham stated, “Because it is at the front end of a building’s wiring, the dirty electricity from the smart meter’s SMPS has a gateway into that building’s wiring, and also into the earth via the house ground.  The house wiring acts as an antenna and the fields capacitively couple to the body through the air within 6 to 8 feet of the house wiring or extension cords plugged into the outlets.”

Industrial Electronic Safety

Many holistic health practitioners have begun to speak with their patients about the fact that wireless devices in common use in the home may be contributing to a host of health issues.

But the combination of acupuncture treatment and an increasingly polluted office environment may mean that:

1.  The office is inaccessible to a sensitive patient because the practice is located in a building laden with artificial frequencies, regardless of the skill of the practitioner.

2. The integrity of the treatment cannot be assured, because the acupuncturist assesses the patient’s bioenergy within the environment at the start of the treatment. The external electromagnetic environment may be altered during the treatment in a manner that causes a reaction in the patient, for example, if the utility conducts a data transmission.

3. Patients may find that they cannot sustain their adjustments. For example, currently, there are no protections in place to assure that sensitive individuals can be accommodated in their own homes.

The electric grid has become increasingly polluted, alongside the problem of inadequately sized neutrals, Also, in the United States, unlike in Europe, utilities are allowed to use the earth as part of the return.

In order to protect highly sensitive electronics, for example, in medical offices and music recording studios that cannot be subjected to static and interference, a clean 60 hertz sine wave can be provided that does not carry any electrical pollution.

Should this standard apply to other environments, such as schools, acupuncture offices, and homes?

The human body is a sensitively tuned instrument that is far more discerning of external forces than we give it credit for, and the external electromagnetic environment is far more relevant, benevolent, synchronizing, and harmonizing that our current science realizes or dictates.

Acupuncture Today

In October of 2022, Acupuncture Today published the article “How I Broke My Nose on the Acupuncture Table” chronicling how an invasive frequency apparently caused injury during treatment.

This is not a reflection of acupuncture; it is a reflection of a society that is just beginning to recover its literacy in energy medicine, self-care, and natural healing.

The mainstream Western medical model does not recognize electromagnetic pathways, including meridians and radiant circuits.

It does not yet recognize the normal healthy expansion and contraction of the 26 cranial bones that accompanies inhalation and exhalation, and that this essential movement can become impaired. And because the West only recently discovered the brain’s detoxifying glymphatic system, the West has not been ready, willing, and able, yet, to study sky-rocketing rates of neurological diseases relative to the body’s sensitivity to radiofrequencies.

A society that is not literate in its own health-sustaining electromagnetic capacities and vulnerabilities does not notice the warning signs, including the discomfort of a brain that is compressed, not cushioned, not insulated, not detoxing, not protected by the blood brain barrier, not hydrated by an uninterrupted flow of cerebral-spinal fluid, not in synch with the nature environment, and not firing on all cylinders – due to skull compression. (Changes in glucose metabolism have also been observed.)

The true implications of invisible, covert frequencies assaulting human capacities and human rights are staggering. Reports of brain injuries to diplomats are the tip of a very large iceberg. When electromagnetic balance is altered, continuity of consciousness and the balance of exertion and healing rest is at stake, including each individual organ field’s high and low tides.

Could acupuncture’s wisdom end the battle that pits unacknowledged blockhead processing against tin foil hats, so that society can move, quickly, towards safe technologies and stewardship of the cosmic current as the true basis of wellness and balance?

Part 1 considered the historical record regarding the Moscow Signal, and the assessment by an advisory committee to the U.S. military that sounds most recently heard and recorded by injured diplomats (Havana Syndrome) were crickets.

In part 3, Paul Harding discusses an unacknowledged culprit and likely mechanism of harm; artificial internal electric fields being introduced by kilohertz frequencies riding on subcarrier waves, in both wired and wireless applications.

Is the Indies Short-Tailed Cricket Mating Call the Culprit?

One year ago, a declassified document by U.S. military advisors was circulated indicating that the source of ’sound’ heard by injured diplomats had been identified.

National Security Advisory Expert Opinion

“Noises linked to mysterious injuries among US diplomats in Cuba were most likely caused by crickets — not microwave weapons — according to a declassified scientific review commissioned by the US State Department and obtained by BuzzFeed News” “It concluded that the sounds accompanying at least eight of the original 21 Havana syndrome incidents were “most likely” caused by insects. That same scientific review also judged it “highly unlikely” that microwaves or ultrasound beams — now widely proposed by US government officials to explain the injuries — were involved in the incidents. And though the report didn’t definitively conclude what caused the injuries themselves, it found that “psychogenic” mass psychology effects may have played a role.”

BuzzFeedNews reported, “The team was given eight recordings of incidents linked to injuries and performed an extensive analysis of two cellphone video recordings from one patient. After extensive comparison with recordings of various insect species, they concluded with “high confidence” that the sounds in that case came from a particularly loud species of cricket, Anurogryllis celerinictus.”

“A mainstay of the national security arena for decades, JASON contains the nation’s brightest technical minds. “This is a high-powered group of expert scientists examining this question,” said former Los Alamos National Laboratory chemist Cheryl Rofer. “This appears to be a very thorough scientific analysis, the kind which wasn’t done in the National Academies of Sciences report.” [] “What is available in the report is pretty dubious about directed energy weapons,” she said, “and pretty positive about crickets.”

This is despite the fact that the ‘sound’ of crickets has never been causally linked to brain damage and other documented injuries. 

“James Lin, a University of Illinois biomedical engineer who has argued that the microwave explanation for the injuries is very likely, told BuzzFeed News “A typical sound recorder would not be able to record the ‘microwave sound’, period,” [] by email, after reviewing the JASON report’s findings.” – Buzzfeed News

In contrast, the report by the National Academies concluded “directed, pulsed radio frequency energy appears to be the most plausible mechanism in explaining these cases.”

Issues with “the Cricket Narrative” – Not Just Diplomats

Many individuals other than diplomats are experiencing adverse health effects including invasive sound associated with both wireless and wired technologies, including the utility grid.  This includes the sudden, acute onset of symptoms associated with the installation of solar, wireless utility meters and power-line communication technologies.

Other Species

Species other than humans are displaying adverse impacts as the result of frequency exposures, which cannot be dismissed as mental illness and ‘nocebo.’ For example, see David Stetzer’s testimony for the Michigan Attorney General regarding damage to dairy cow milk production and the economic consequences for farmers, and the 2022 court ruling in France where cows were also harmed, including fatalities.   

“Microwave Hearing” in Locales and Seasons Where No Indies Short Tail Crickets Are Attempting to Mate

The cricket’s locale includes Florida and Cuba, but not other locations where invasive sounds accompanied by additional symptoms have been reported.

‘Microwave Hearing’ vs. ‘Tinnitus’, No Epidemiology, No Investigation

Unfortunately, there is no mechanism for independent investigation or data collection of reported harm to civilians, in part because the dynamic is discounted as phantom sound without a source, paranoia, or psychosis.

Smoking Gun?

Science has already pointed to the smoking gun.

Historical research indicates that sub-carrier frequencies in the kilohertz range are an avenue for electric fields to travel internal to the human body, and to cause harm.

Paul Harding notes, “Utilizing a variety of techniques using scientific instruments I have found that symptoms found in the Naval Medical Research Institute’s 1971 research paper were directly correlated with exposure to <100 kHz frequencies.

Natural Blaze/Natural Holistic Health News readers are familiar with Expert EMF Testing Specialist and Consultant Paul Harding’s story.   Paul was featured in the 2021 Father’s Day series Real Men Do Not Deny Real Harm From Microwaves.

“Total EMF Solutions started as survival and personal journey to feel better (actually a fight for my life). I experienced poor sleep (waking up at odd hours 3-4 am) after a smart meter was installed on my bedroom wall in the beginning of 2011. I woke up at the same times the meter would “dump data”.  The result leads to low levels of melatonin and may lead to chronic illness. Some may term it as cancer, diabetes, Parkinson’s, dementia, fibromyalgia, rheumatoid arthritis, auto immune disorder, ADD/ADHD, along with other ‘incurable’ chronic diseases. After further research I found that smart meters also produce frequencies (<50 kHz) on the home wiring and electric field.  These correlate with those that are used to open the sodium and potassium ion channels.”

Subcarrier Waves: Wireless and Wired Risks

Paul notes, “The problem lies within the subcarrier spacing frequencies of wireless communications, and the phenomenon termed by electric companies as “dirty electricity.”

Internal Electric Fields

Paul explains, “The sub carrier frequencies are in the sub 100 Kilohertz range. This is a concern because internal electric fields can be created that are associated with cancer due to “cell proliferation, disruption of signal transduction pathways and inhibition of differentiation,” as noted back in 1999.

The ‘smoking gun’ is in these two paragraphs from 1999, regarding exposures greater than 1 mV/m.

Cell Signaling; “Disturbances in This System Have Deleterious Effects and Contribute to Conditions Such as Neurological Diseases, Diabetes, and Immunological Disorders” (2013)        

Paul explains, subsequently, in 2013, a Nobel Prize was awarded for discoveries in cell signaling.   

Paul noted, “If the electric field were just the clean 60 Hertz cycle, the total body impedance would be 3,000 Ohms. But as the Kilohertz frequencies rise over 1.7 kHz, the impedance drops to 500 Ohms.   (See Schawn, 1968)      

(Schwan’s study was also demonstrated with a graph on page 47 (2.4) of “Electrical Stimulation and Electropathology” by J. Patrick Reilly, (Johns Hopkins University, March 1992.) “… covering fundamental principles, specific human responses, and electrical safety. Subsequent chapters treat human reactions to electrical stimulation according to the nature of the response–sensory reactions, cardiac reactions, muscle reactions, electric and magnetic field exposure, and high-voltage and high-current injuries.”)

KHz Frequencies Are Used to Open Sodium and Potassium Ion Channels

A 1981 research paper prepared for NASA’s Goddard Space Research Center also addressed the electrical potentials of sodium and potassium channels in the cell walls.

Paul states, “Empirical evidence has proven to me that once these frequencies are removed, the human body is able to repair. Diabetes has been a favorite of mine because these clients already monitor their blood sugar levels on a daily basis, whereas a client with leukemia may only get tested once a month.

I only have to rely on what other brilliant minds have found. All I do is measure and do what they have taught me. My main tool is a battery-operated oscilloscope. “

Sam Milham concurs with Paul’s findings that internal electric fields are being introduced into the body.

As part of direct testimony filed in an electric utility rate case in Arizona, Samuel Milham, M.D., M.P.H. stated: “Because it is at the front end of a building’s wiring, the dirty electricity from the smart meter’s Switch Mode Power Supply has a gateway into that building’s wiring, and also into the earth via the house ground.  The house wiring acts as an antenna and the fields capacitively couple to the body through the air within 6 to 8 feet of the house wiring or extension cords plugged into the outlets. [] I believe that man-made EMFs, especially dirty electricity, are chronic stressors and are responsible for many of the disease patterns of electrified populations. It is my professional opinion that smart meters are a public health hazard.” – Smart Grid Awareness

The 1981 contractor report prepared for NASA listed symptoms associated with the introduction on internal fields into the human body.

“”Electromagnetic Field Interactions With The Human Body: Observed Effects and Theories The effects of nonionizing electromagnetic (EM) field interactions with the human body were reported and human related studies were collected. Nonionizing EM fields are linked to cancer in humans in three different ways: cause, means of detection, and effective treatment. Bad and benign effects are expected from nonionizing EM fields and much more knowledge is necessary to properly categorize and qualify EM field characteristics. It is concluded that knowledge of the boundary between categories, largely dependent on field intensity, is vital to proper future use of EM radiation for any purpose and the protection of the individual from hazard.”

Naval Medical Researchers also compiled a list of symptoms associated with radiofrequencies in 1971.

Solar invertors, electric cars chargers, dimmer switches, variable speed motors, smart meters, and ‘energy efficient’ CFL and LED lighting are sources of electrical pollution present on household wiring. The electrical pollution can be seen and measured with an oscilloscope. (Frequencies can also be measured on faucets and sinks because household plumbing and electrical systems are bonded.)

Paul Harding notes,

“It is becoming more difficult to remedy a person’s environment with the proliferation of power line communications, solar, cell towers, and energy efficient appliances.  The earth is an excellent conductor and unfortunately becoming a conduit for these kilohertz frequencies. It’s not just through the air but through the ground we all share. When people walk barefoot on the tile floor in their home, or on the ground, they may be being exposed to kilohertz frequencies that are increasingly ubiquitous.”

“The earlier transmitters were in the sub 100 kHz range and were very powerful.”

“During the “Spanish Flu” Woodrow Wilson shut down all wireless, except for the Government’s antennas.”

“Interesting that a pandemic first complained about during an era of sub 100 kHz carrier waves (1917-27) is similar to that reported today.” 

“Could it be possible that some tinnitus is a biproduct of kHz frequencies radiating from the wiring located in walls, ceilings, and sometimes floors of people’s residences?  Or from talking on a cell phone that has KHz frequencies within the subcarrier spacing?” – Paul Harding 

Crickets or Microwaves?

Returning to the question of whether the sounds associated with Havana injuries were crickets or microwaves, Paul clarifies that the problem is the internal electric fields created by the kilohertz frequencies riding on the subcarrier waves. They could be sourced from wireless or wired technologies.

(Why are some individuals hearing frequencies, and not others? A 1994 research study “Resonance frequencies of the human skull in vivo” noted, “it is assumed that the resonance frequencies do not significantly affect bone conducted sound. In the transcranial measurements, however, a few large antiresonances were found which may affect bone-conducted sound. Intersubject variations were large, probably due to individual variations in skull geometry and in mechanical parameters. The results were shown to be consistent with previous results obtained on dry skulls.”)

When JASON researchers advising the US military discovered that the mating call song of the Indies short-tailed cricket has a dominant frequency of 6.9 kHz, they reportedly told the public that it was the source of Havana Syndrome “noise,’ along with psychogenic mass psychosis.

Let’s be very cautious about redacted documents, projecting hysteria and mass psychosis, ignoring mounting neurological illness and death rates, and ridiculing the pain and suffering of others, while scapegoating crickets and their mating calls. They were framed.

Wireless Radiation and Hearing Problems

“Did you know that some people can hear microwave radiation?

We know that some of our readers do, and you might be one of them.

Recently Dr James Lin published a paper describing the fascinating phenomenon of ‘microwave hearing’, whereby people perceive wireless radiation as a clicking, buzzing, zipping, chirping or knocking sound, or even as a tune. It can occur when subjects are exposed to a wide range of frequencies – from hundreds of megahertz to several gigahertz. Further, it occurs, not just in humans, but in some species of animals (such as rats) as well.

Microwave hearing is not the hearing of sound (which is a different range of frequencies from wireless radiation). It does not occur in the way that conventional hearing does.

Lin describes it this way. ‘The microwave auditory effect occurs from miniscule but rapid rise … of temperature … in the brain from absorption of pulsed microwave radiation. The sudden rise in temperature creates thermoelastic expansion of the brain matter, which can launch a pressure wave that propagates through the head and is detected by the sensory hair cells in the cochlea. The nerve signal is then relayed to the central auditory system for perception and recognition.’

According to Lin, the sound depends on the characteristics of the wireless radiation, for example, the width of the pulses.

Microwave hearing was first recognised in World War II and was usually linked to radar signals. It was found that servicemen could hear sounds from radar whether they were inches or thousands of feet away from the transmitter. It was also discovered that shielding a hearer from the radiation stopped them from perceiving the sound.

Lin says, ‘Since late 2016, there have been multiple reports that some diplomatic service personnel have been experiencing health issues associated with hearing loud buzzing or bursts of sound. It was hypothesized that the loud buzzing, burst of sound, or acoustic pressure waves may have been delivered using a targeted beam of high-power pulsed microwave radiation, rather than blasting the subjects with conventional sonic sources. Recently, the National Academies released a report, examining the causes of the illnesses, makes the point that “among the mechanisms the study committee considered, the most plausible mechanism to explain these cases, especially in individuals with distinct early symptoms, appears to be directed, pulsed RF (microwave) energy.”.

He points out that the US government plans to undertake research into developing a wearable device for detecting exposure to RF weapons.

Can microwave hearing be a problem for those who experience it?

According to Lin it can. Because the radiation is converted to sound inside the brain, it is possible that injury to the brain could occur, he says.

Some of our readers have told us that their tinnitus improved when they stopped using their mobile phone. One of our readers reported that she stopped hearing her neighbour’s  WiFi when she installed a curtain made from our shielding fabric on her window. So reducing exposure and shielding wireless sources is a useful strategy.

‘Havana Syndrome’ – A Link Between Wireless Radiation And Symptoms

EMR Australia published an earlier post, ‘Havana Syndrome’ – a link between wireless radiation and symptoms.

“In 2016 US embassy staff in Havana, Cuba, began reporting unusual symptoms — pain, ringing in the ears, dizziness headaches and cognitive problems. Medical investigations failed to find a cause and many of the staff were withdrawn from the embassy.

The baffling condition became known as the ‘Havana Syndrome’ and cases were subsequently reported by US embassy staff in Paris, Geneva, Berlin and Bogotá (Colombia). Ultimately around 200 people connected with US administrators reported similar symptoms in 12 countries.

To address the problem, the US Intelligence Community—the Director of National Intelligence and Deputy Director of the CIA—established an expert panel to investigate potential causes of what they called ‘Anomalous Health Incidents’ (AHIs). The panel reviewed classified documents on scientific, medical and intelligence topics and heard from affected individuals.

It says, ‘Pulsed electromagnetic energy, particularly in the radiofrequency range, plausibly explains the core characteristics of reported AHIs, although information gaps exist. There are several plausible pathways involving various forms of pulsed electromagnetic energy, each with its own requirements, limitations, and unknowns. For all the pathways, sources exist that could generate the required stimulus, are concealable, and have moderate power requirements. Using nonstandard antennas and techniques, the signals could be propagated with low loss through air for tens to hundreds of meters, and with some loss, through most building materials. Stimulation and disruption of these biological systems has been credibly demonstrated in cells and tissues, and persons accidentally exposed to radiofrequency signals described sensations similar to the core characteristics. However, there is a dearth of systematic research on the effects of the relevant electromagnetic signals on humans.’

The report also found that ultrasound could plausibly explain some symptoms but could only be used in close-access situations. Some other environmental exposures were ruled out.

The symptoms are similar to those experienced by US embassy staff in Moscow in the 1990s, as a result of which it was found that Soviets had beamed microwave radiation at the US embassy for several decades. The Moscow Signal Preceded Havana

In his personal blog article about the historic microwaving of the U.S. embassy in Russia in the 1960s, (updated in August of 2022), James Schumaker, a retired Foreign Service officer, discussed health concerns related to the historic ‘Moscow Signal.’

Now, along with a dramatic increase in wireless technologies, the public is being involuntarily exposed to ubiquitous, juxtaposed frequencies, often without knowledge and consent, with reports of headaches, inability to concentrate, fatigue, sleep disturbance, and other symptoms.

JAMA recently published a research review indicating that tinnitus rates are exploding worldwide.  (Tinnitus is defined as “A condition with a constant ringing sound in the ear in the absence of an external source.” See four commentaries by Safe Tech International about the review here 1,2,3,4.)

In contrast to diplomats, civilian complaints of injury (including invasive sounds associated with electrosmog and microwave exposures) are not being recognized or investigated.

McMillan Dictionary defines the verb ‘frame’ as the action of making someone seem guilty. As far as the diplomat injuries, were crickets framed?

In Defense of Crickets

In part 3 of this series “In Defense of Crickets” Paul Harding will look at another explanation for harm to diplomats over the last sixty years, as well as escalating reports of injuries to civilians.

Whether unintentional or weaponized, historical research indicates that kilohertz frequencies of certain wavelengths are capable of introducing internal electric fields into the human body. The kilohertz frequencies are riding on subcarrier waves, for both wireless and wired technologies.

Debates about whether or not to use wired or wireless applications are incomplete, because electrical pollution is rampant for both applications. 

The solution is to hold technology accountable for not producing the artificial internal electric fields that are assaulting both human health and the environment.

September 2021 marked the release of a report, one year ago, by an advisory group for the U.S. State Department.

As reported by the Independent, “The “most likely source” of the mysterious “Havana syndrome” is crickets, according to a declassified US State Department report. The JASON Group, an independent organisation of scientists that has advised the US government since the Cold War, had carried out a study in 2018 that pointed to crickets as the source of the mysterious syndrome.”

William Andreas Brown: Combating Espionage in Embassy Moscow 60 Years Ago (But Not Telling Diplomats About the Microwaves)

Sixty years ago, another episode involving injuries to diplomats unfolded, and various ‘expert studies’ were also involved.

In “War of the Waves: Combating Espionage in Embassy Moscow,” the Association for Diplomatic Studies and Training reports, “One of the strangest episodes was revealed in the 1970s, when the U.S. confirmed that the USSR had been beaming microwaves at the embassy for the past 15 years. One concern was that the Soviets were trying to inflict physical harm on the Americans working there. Famed columnist Jack Anderson wrote that a CIA file named “Operation Pandora” described the Soviets’ attempt to “brainwash” Americans.

The level of microwaves was actually lower than what was considered safe in the U.S. at the time; another explanation is that the USSR was apparently trying to jam electronic monitoring devices located at the embassy.

William Andreas Brown discusses the widespread concern among Americans working at the embassy at the time, and their anger at the State Department for its lack of transparency on the issue:

“I have to tell you what a shock it was in about 1972 or 1973 to wake up to the great, microwave scandal and to find that Secretary of State Henry Kissinger and his associates had kept from us the fact that for years we had been bombarded by microwave apparatuses, directed straight at the embassy in Moscow. We learned only years later that this had happened and that information on it had been kept from us. Foreign Service physical examinations routinely include a blood test.”

“Unbeknownst to us, the Department of State was testing our blood to see what, if anything had happened to us as a result of the microwave radiation. This was a pretty jolting realization.”

“[] the studies of our blood samples over the years of people who had served in Moscow showed that something like six months after a person arrived in Moscow, his or her white blood counts rose significantly. Some people speculated that this had to do with the water supply. A team led by a doctor was sent out from Washington to look into the matter. [] he had earlier pooh-poohed the notion that the radiation the American staff was receiving was deleterious.”

“[] the point is that microwave emissions were being beamed at us. [] a visiting technician from the State Department came with equipment and said, “Do you mind if I set this up in your office?” I said, “Okay, but why here? Why in my office?” He said, “Because actually there are at least two beams being directed at the embassy. One comes in from the front of the embassy building, and one comes in from that great, white building over there, which is called the ‘White House.’  You know, where the Russian Parliament meets. One beam comes this way, and the two beams intersect right here at your desk.” – William Andreas Brown

James Schumaker: Moscow Embassy Cancer Deaths

The Association for Diplomatic Studies and Training also published diplomat James Schumaker’s account in the article “Microwaving Embassy Moscow — Another Perspective.”

“The existence of the microwave problem had been kept under wraps for years, first because no one knew that there might be health consequences, and later, according to unconfirmed reports, because Henry Kissinger wanted to avoid damaging chances for détente.  When Ambassador Stoessel learned about the problem, he threatened to resign unless the Embassy community was told.  As a result, the microwave story was finally made public in a press conference called by the Ambassador.

A study of the Embassy community by Johns Hopkins in 1978 purportedly proved that in actuality Embassy personnel were on average healthier than ordinary Americans, but in my view, and the view of many at the Embassy, this study was not conclusive.  In particular, the study did not recognize the fact that Americans permitted to go out to Moscow were already pre-selected to have “1” clearances in most cases [healthy for worldwide service], and so naturally the Embassy population would be much healthier than an average group of ordinary Americans.

At the same time, journalists like Paul Brodeur were pointing out that the health effects of low-intensity microwaves were not well understood, nor were the possible synergistic interactions of outside microwaves with similar microwave sources within the Embassy itself.

All in all, many people in Moscow were agitated and offended by what appeared to be efforts to sweep the whole controversy under the rug. The clincher for many Moscow staffers was the unusual incidence of illness on the part of American Ambassadors stationed in Moscow.  An article by Paul Brodeur in the December 20, 1976 issue of New Yorker and an earlier article in Time Magazine reported that not only had two recent American Ambassadors to Moscow died of cancer (Llewellyn “Tommy” Thompson and Charles Chip” Bohlen), then-Ambassador Walter Stoessel was suffering from a severe blood disorder (Ambassador Stoessel, who was universally admired, eventually died of leukemia in 1986).  To most Moscow staffers, it just seemed like too much of a coincidence.” – James Schumaker

Gaia.com: “How the Soviets Weaponized EMFs During the Cold War“

Gaia.com reported, “Foreign Service Officer James Schumaker recalled that “the bombardment of the upper floors of the embassy began as soon as we moved in (after WWII) back in 1953. It was known that the Soviets had been irradiating the embassy, but it was kept under wraps for years, partly because no one knew the consequences.” Officially, there was no EMF bombardment. But there were political reasons as well. “Henry Kissinger wanted to avoid damaging chances for détente,” Shumaker said.

The CIA investigated the Moscow “signal,” as it was known, to learn if the central nervous system was impacted by microwave electromagnetic frequencies (EMFs). According to Foreign Policy Magazine, the CIA theorized that the Soviets were trying to achieve mind control with the low-level radiation. “The U.S. wanted to figure out what was going on without tipping off the Soviets that they knew about the irradiation, and so the diplomats working in the embassy — and being exposed to daily radiation — were kept in the dark.”

A 1971 study by the Naval Medical Research Institute (NMRI) documented the biological impacts of microwave and radio frequency (RF) radiation — precisely what the Soviets used in Moscow. The exhaustive and lengthy list includes:

Cataract lesions

Burns at the site of surgical implants, i.e. pins

Liver enlargement

Decreased fertility in men

Altered “fetal development”

Nervous system effects, including headaches, insomnia, restlessness, cranial nerve disorders, seizures and convulsions

“Psychophysiologic” disorders, such as: depression, anxiety, neurasthenia (generally feeling lousy), dizziness, insomnia, fatigue,

Irritability, memory loss, chest pain, and tremors

Several blood disorders, including increased white blood cell counts, were also identified. The report also notes biochemical, metabolic, gastrointestinal, and endocrine gland changes and disorders. Under “miscellaneous effects,” the study lists “loss of hair, sensations of buzzing vibrations,” and “sparks between dental fillings.”

Another study, comparing the Moscow embassy staff with other U.S. embassy personnel from around the world, found that the Moscow staff members had a statistically significant increase in depression, irritability, concentration, memory loss, ear and skin problems, and vascular problems. Again, the longer employees stayed, the worse the problems became.

Dr. Neil Cherry, a New Zealand environmental scientist, reported, “The dominant resulting cancers for embassy personnel were brain tumor, leukemia, and reproductive organ cancer. This confirms that low-level, chronic microwave exposure is associated with very significant increases in illness and mortality in organs across the whole body, consistent with widespread cellular chromosome damage.”

The ‘Official’ Position: No Adverse Health Effects

While dozens of studies conclude that microwave exposure has clear health impacts, the official position is that “no adverse health effects of the radiation were shown” in embassy staff members. Despite research, this continues to be the official position — that microwave technology such as cell towers and phones and smart meters is safe. Over time, the evidence of the dangers of EMFs and RFs has accumulated.” – Gaia.com

A Quandary

Two Explanations for Havana Syndrome

American diplomats recently reported injuries, coined the “Havana Syndrome”. (An un-quantified portion of civilians worldwide also reports experiencing harm.)

The National Academies: Directed, Pulsed Radio Frequency Energy

“….directed, pulsed radio frequency energy appears to be the most plausible mechanism in explaining these cases, especially in individuals with the distinct early symptoms.”

JASON, A National Security Advisory Group: Crickets

As reported by the New York Post, “The illness is marked by a sudden auditory buzzing sensation followed by neurological side effects, including pain, dizziness, nausea and brain fog, according to its victims. The victims are mostly US spies and diplomats, some of whom had been at the US Embassy in Havana in 2016, around the time the reports of the affliction first appeared, hence the name. Since then, potential cases have cropped up elsewhere, including Germany, Austria, Russia and China.

Wild reports speculating the source of the “sonic attacks” have surfaced as of late. Some have suggested symptoms associated with Havana syndrome closely mirror the effects of microwave radiation. Fueling the unsettling reports, a 2019 study commissioned by the State Department showed that the brains of purported Havana syndrome patients had been altered by the disease, though it has yet to be seen whether those effects will be long-term.

The theory? Crickets, said researchers with JASON, an advisory group who frequently works with the State Department over scientific matters of national security.

JASON scientists disputed the theory held by the National Academies of Science (NAS) that microwaves are the “most plausible” weapon, adding in their report that it is “highly unlikely” that sonic beams were involved in the incidents — and blamed, instead, the “psychogenic” effects of group hysteria.”- New York Post

Whether unintentional or weaponized, the introduction of internal electric fields into the body, including the nerves and brain, with damage to the blood-brain barrier and cell walls, caused by kilohertz frequencies riding on subcarrier waves in both wireless and wired technologies, may be the unacknowledged culprit.
